I believe men to be the oppressed in American society.
I am wondering if violence against women in the western world is a result of opression and frustration from men who are not treated with respect but are made to work much harder and more difficult jobs than anyone else.
I have been considering the number of men incarcerated(and for how long), I think of the number of men killed in wars and I think about the number of men who are homeless(compared to women) and lastly I think about male suicide rates (due to lack of perceived value by society)
I am not saying the violence against women is acceptable or should be tolerated.
I am saying let’s look at how society treats men and women and let’s see if it’s fair.

Not sure now you got that. Bills were introduced to repeal the selective service act and make it gender neutral and the majority male congress rejected them both times. Men want to fight the wars they start. They just also want to whine about it at the same time apparently. Neither the male nor female leaders care much if young men live or die.
Politicians like Hillary Clinton, Margaret Thatcher, Golda Meir, and Indira Gandhi weren't exactly known for avoiding military conflict.
As Guywhogoestogym alluded, in pretty much every species of mammal female lives are intrinsically valued higher than male lives. This is simple Evolutionary Biology 101. Big non-motile gametes of very limited supply are much more valuable than small, motile gametes of limitless supply. And on top of this the female body is the literal incubator for the first, most fragile, stage of genetic survival to the next generation.
I think it would take a tremendous amount of social conditioning to get to a point where a human society didn't intrinsically value female life over male life, and if we ever did get there the society itself would probably be dysfunctional. It is perfectly fine and natural that male **** sapiens (like pretty much every other species) generally live shorter, more violent, more brutal lives. And I dont think anyone should feel bad about that.
We can of course work to improve the human condition overall for everyone. But like most of the "equity" push, I think it would be a bad idea to overly mess around with something so biologically fundamental.
