OK Vlogger Thread, we are going with some new parameters to try to make this the POSITIVE vlogger thread that it is supposed to be, not the AIDS vlogger thread where a few loonies ruin it for the rest. Note that 'positive' does not equal 'only positive', it means anything negative being said CAN'T be namecalling or wild, unsubstantiated speculation regarding any and all vloggers. Rampage finally had a good session (a really good session!)

I didn't watch it but I see there was KK > (QQ + AK) for a huge pot halfway

The numbers don't really add up so other than Airball I don't understand where the money came from

by parisron k

So, he won 1.4 hands per hour over 29-hour sample. That sounds pretty tight.

yea and looks like he took down about half of them pre bc nobody is gonna give him action.

He will make a chart for this but not his 2023 results. classic.

So stupid. 50/100 100 ante no straddle and Nik gets in $250k with AKo.

Fish opens to 3BB QQ (200bb), Rampage 3bets 11BB KK (2500bb), Airball cold calls SB AKo (covers), fish jams 200BB, Rampage calls, Airball instantly backshoves 2500bbs, Rampage snaps.

Run it twice Rampage scoops.

Rice has gotta be the tightest poker player in Las Vegas, and that's saying something.

There's no way Rice is making $14/hr with those numbers.

He’s tighter than Cameron from Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.

Yeah really. Perfect example: On day 8 he played 2.5 hours and only won a single pot that was between $10 and $20. Evidenced by the fact that he only paid $1 towards the promo drop that entire time.

He must have won 2 other pots without seeing a flop. He probably raises huge when he has a hand just to take the blinds and avoid paying any rake.

Lol wow airball is in punt formation every stream now. I feel bad for all the posters that flocked to nvg writing essays saying how good airball is. Poor Pokerplayingdunces, he must’ve hung himself with sitar string.

I wonder if you can get Rice off of a hand by raising in units of dollar store items that he likes.

Hero bets $10 on flop
Villain raises to $50 with an audible "50 packs of Bar-S sausages!"
(Meltdown ensues)

Lol the numbers add up just fine

yeah maybe I looked too quick, thought it was +$400k

dont worry, he is the shark and he's catering to the fish. just ask him.

Did anyone catch his "You don't want to win a lot of small pots because it increases the amount in rake you pay for the promo drop."

Basically, the same logic as you don't want to get a pay raise because you might hit a higher tax bracket.

It worked out that El Diesel made $4 an hour from that promo. He wasn't there to play any hands or win any money, he was just sitting sucking up that sweet sweet $4 an hour. That is all he needs. The rest of you fools are throwing your money away on inflation.

It wouldnt surprise me at all if this were true. He'd sit there smugly while breaking even the whole time. But secretly knowing that he is coming out ahead after comps and promos is all the contentment and satisfaction he needs.

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm thrilled Trooper finally got around to telling us his 'Top Secret Live Poker Tell'.
Knowing this 'Live Tell' could have a profound impact on my poker win rate.

Thanks Trooper 👍

I just watched the video. I've not ever seen that "tell".

by parisron k

Wonder what his vpip was.

by angle_shooter k

Rice probably raises huge when he has a hand just to take the blinds and avoid paying any rake.

When Rice has a hand, he raises big pre-flop, hoping to take it down right then and there, or to go to the flop heads up.
One of the reasons Rice hates California poker is, no matter how big a pre flop raise he puts in (according to Rice), 2, 3, or 4 people will see the flop.
Rice has said in the past, he likes to get to the flop heads up, which he said is near impossible in California. Rice said in the past a $15 pre flop raise will take it down in Las Vegas nearly every time, where in California it doesn’t even thin the field one iota.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say his vpip was a single digit.

Lol the real question is in what world did gman not want to play with him? Garrett really gave up all those airball bucks because of annoying table talk, that’s just plain poker malpractice. His wife must be madder than shyt she had to cut into her lifestyle because gman couldn’t withstand some banter.

Booking a trip to Trooper Sunday to reverse this tell...

by pig4bill k

Ya while the thought process on the tell is sound, I don't think I've ever seen it and I pay attention to everything that's happening at the table. Definitely haven't seen it enough to even register as a viable tell for sure.

Yet this is what Trooper hid as a super secret profitable tell from everyone? Can you imagine how proud Diesel must have been to be one of the few if only people that Trooper told?

by angle_shooter k

I don't think it's even that. Would you call hands like KQ, KJ, QT etc when someone like Diesel raises? The lower tier broadway cards that will be dominated vs Diesel's opening range. No. You just fold. Basically the only type of hands you'd play are pocket pairs and try to flop a set.

His stats are really telling. Even Diesel I think opens to $10 so if called, there would be max promo drop right on the flop. So he's not even getting calls when he raises but then again, why would anyone give him action?

On the flip side, Diesel isn't calling any raises either. Just like you can set mine Diesel, he can also set mine most players or hands that play well in multiway pots like Ax suited/Kx suited type hands.

OMCs laugh at how tight Diesel plays.

The bulk of his win rate might just come from promos honestly. Look at how well he's done at Horseshoe and the room quality overall is horrid. It would make sense why he mostly plays at promo rooms. Caesars even counts as a promo room to Diesel cause of double tiers imo. He doesn't play at non promo rooms cause I don't think he can even beat them for $10/hr.

Horseshoe stats for Diesel, he refuses to call it Horseshoe and still calls it Bally's. He upped it to winning 1.55 hands per hour this sample.

His parents are coming into town, will he hide his camera and never film anything when they are around?

Rice use to make fun of promo grinders in his videos, yet Rice is a promo grinder himself.
Yup, the bulk of Rice's poker profits come from grinding promos now.
No way in hell is Rice's hourly win rate $10/hr minus promo money.

Yeah, this. To be honest i doubt Diesel even have a winrate in todays games in Vegas. He is so risk averse,so close to being a breakeven player and plays so incredibly tight that rake also has to impact him alot at this point.

If we made him play a 1000 hour stint and he only is allowed to play in rooms without promos,do we think he would be making any money at this point?

by parisron k

This is what I find hilarious with Diesel. He's detail oriented and always thinks he's right yet he doesn't acknowledge the name change, mispronounces Nevada cause he doesn't like the way the correct way sounds and offers inane stats except for daily poker results.
