... Just this year there are 4 QBs that can be labeled "generational". Caleb had a disastrous 2023 compared to his 2022 season. That is not a good look...

hi, i'll probably thank you for your hyperbolic post later
but in the mean time promise not to take anything i have to say next literally
except season over season average stats

hey ese, alex grinch was trojan dc and concurrently conned them into thinking he had sh*t wrapped up when he didn't
his talk smooth as lamb skin but tongue thick with callus after obvious comeback opportunities
abort last night, easy to forget if finding yourself in the proper state of mind

I am on record that I think Caleb ain’t ****

With that said, he has to be out of this world bad for this to end up as a net negative for chicago. Where I think the bears probably ****ed up is there’s 1 year of viability from Allen and it’ll be difficult to trade down from 9 which only matters cuz after that pick they only have 2 in the draft

They should be fine, but still

It won’t happen but man oh man would I love to see the bears lean into it and take rome at 9

That could be one hell of a ****ing offense

Watchin Fields highlights, bored in a online donkament. What I see overand over is DJ Moore is awesome. Terrible trade.

williams, caleb is the second coming of mahomes, patrick
have you not been paying attention
oh and romans have done they best attempt at recreating the optimal pass catcher
he will likely land as the second best fifth draft pick
but in the end one choice everyone else wishes they made

that's assuming Odunze is on the board come pick #9

I think at the very least Caleb will be better than Trevor.

by roymunson888 k

What if Fields is a problem. Like maybe he doesn't watch tape like murry. Nobody really wanted him. Must be a reason. Bears prolly no choice but take a 6th round and move on. New day.

I think what actually happened is that teams thought he was too expensive so no real interest was generated. If teams knew they could get him for a 6th, 15+ teams should've offered it. It's malpractice by the Bears to get that little for him.

Feels like half the mock drafts I've seen recently have it exactly like that.

WR obviously a position of need and with 5 QBs off the board Odunze should still be there at 9.

my guess is that Bears started out asking too much, other teams moved on and all of a sudden there was no market left

Maybe

I just sat through 20 mins of his play from last year. ....Do Not Reccommend.... But he really isn't that bad. I'd bet he could be fixed, but like your saying at what cost.

Ehhhh? I don't think he can be fixed. He runs great and has a good arm but he has a 10 cent brain. I watched every down he played as a Bear. He just doesn't (can't?) see the play developing in front of him or read the defense at all. He has the physical tools of a great QB just not the mental ones. Listen to guys like Eli and Peyton breaking down plays on Manningcast and Fields would have no idea what they were talking about.

He just needs to play freeeeee. Can't be bothered with all that coachin' and stuff.

And WRs. If he didn't have to throw the ball everything would be good. If the Bears didn't ask him to throw it 20 times a game he would have had way less incompletions.

Bears coaching sucks. Defensively they started to figure it out, but I'm blaming this all on coaching. Luke Getsy was never OC before the Bears and I think he's horrible. Raiders about to find this out as well.

Chase Young 1-13/13 from the Saints. Seems toppy?

FWIW, that's exactly the contract that both Spotrac and OverTheCap projected for him. PFF projected 1/15/15.

100 fewer yards/game, 12 fewer TDs, over 110 fewer pass attempts compared to his Heisman season.

If it's because USC dropped off, then blame a lot of it on Caleb.

If injuries are the explanation, that would be worse.

by PokerHero77 k

100 fewer yards/game

How did you come up with that number?

Jerry Jeudy 3/58-42

The dude is only 24 so he has a ton of upside still to go with his talent. Hard to have a strong take on him given the QBs he’s had passing to him but you’d have liked to see more from him at some point. Never really seemed to be a top echelon guy

Kiper knows more than me for sure, but if Taliese Fuaga is there at 10, jets will take and count thier blessings. Doubt he will be there. Just my dumb thoughts. But that guy is 10 year starter and he is ready to play now.

Should only be 1 qb, 1 wr going in top ten. But there are desperate people.

So 8 O and 2 D. I’ve seen 9 O in a few mocks

What’s the highest proportion of picks from one side of the ball in a draft? Feels like 9-1 would be a huge anomaly?

In 2021 the first defensive player was taken at #8. Pretty sure that's the record.
