Update April 2018

OK Vlogger Thread, we are going with some new parameters to try to make this the POSITIVE vlogger thread that it is supposed to be, not the AIDS vlogger thread where a few loonies ruin it for the rest. Note that 'positive' does not equal 'only positive', it means anything negative being said CAN'T be namecalling or wild, unsubstantiated speculation regarding any and all vloggers. Personal lives and anything aside from poker is OFF THE TABLE.

A new update March 2019:
NO ****ING POLITICS!
He has to put divvies on his tax return, so it's fair for him to count that in his income. He reinvests those though, so probably not part of the "covering expenses". If your expense number is right, he prob made 10-12k from poker.
Really depends on how under control his outrageous laundry expenses were.
While Diesel thought he was gonna troll us all with his "My 2023 Poker Income" vlog today, if he's telling the truth which I have no reason to think he would lie, he only lies by omission, he has inadvertently given us a narrow range of his 2022 and 2023 income.
A few months ago, he put out his expenses vlog for 2023 vs 2022. Expenses for 2022 was $15,097.92 and for 2023, it was $12,906.04.
Now that we have those numbers, we can extrapolate a range from his vlog today.
First for 2022, he said his poker income was enough to cover his expenses so for 2022, his poker income was at least $15k. He played 1780 hours in Vegas and 278 hours in Council Bluffs so his hourly for 2022 was at least $7.29/hr. That's the lowest end.
For 2023, he said about half of his income came from poker and it did not cover all his expenses. With his expenses for the year being $12,906.04, that means he made between $6,500 to $12,900 from poker. Looking at his YouTube revenue vlog a few months ago, he's probably averaging around $250/month from ad revenue. That would give him about $3,000 on the year from YouTube. Given all that, his 2023 poker income is probably close to $10,000. That would mean about $7,000 from dividend and other income streams which seems reasonable.
The key takeaway however is he absolutely did NOT make more than $12,906.04 from poker last year. Giving a lowball 150 hours a month for 10 months or 1500 hours played, that brings his hourly for 2023 to $8.60 at the high end which for his play style sounds pretty accurate for how he's ran this year.
So for that mean stupid wrong comments video where the guy said he made $8/hr, no wonder he was included and Diesel was laughing his ass off. He made $8.60/hr at the absolute most according to the stats he's given.
All these numbers check out for someone who plays as nitty as him and the stats given from his MGM promo vlog where he showed how little the number of hands he wins and the number of pots taken down pre with no drop earlier.
All of the "suckers" and "wasteful spending" casino patrons he scoffs at more than likely clear his yearly earnings in 2 months of work.
Hell, you can make 5-6k a year donating plasma 2-3x a week.
Be careful. Timmy isn’t going to be comfortable with this post.
Dont f@@k with his boy!
LOL. I love and miss the Trooper x Rice dynamic on cam.
Rice like a little leaguer, meeting his baseball hero for the first time while Trooper radiates with the anxiety of an ISIS hostage waiting for a pause in the conversation so he can make an exit.

I figured about the same thing even though you did a much better job at reverse engineering it. would love someone to sit next to him at a table and spit out those stats to him.

Ya that's the funny thing about Diesel being dead set on not sharing his exact numbers since it's not hard to estimate what it is from what we know about his skill level and play style. Everyone knows what their hourly is if you keep detailed records. Everyone knows their play style. Everyone knows how they compare to a player like Diesel at the table. Everyone knows nitty players win money but at a reduced rate compared to decent tags.
We all had a general idea what Diesel's win rate was in Vegas and unsurprisingly, it turned out to be pretty accurate. So we don't know the exact number. No big deal.
"Diesel was what we thought he was." - Tony Dungy probably
Oh here's a fun nugget as I was watching an old Council Bluffs income video.
Diesel averages $3.98/hr during the WSOP in Vegas and that's why he leaves town immediately when WSOP rolls into town. This is over 341 hours and he's won $1,360 over that time.

this was a really fun video and very well done
AbsoluteNuts guy, but spotlighting other players
The last time I was in the Orleans during the WSOP, the line at the poker room was in triple digits.
I made more playing craps and never sat.
That was the cash games?
The tournament lines suck because they don't let you reg until shortly before it starts. You have to get in line before they open reg, and then stand in line for half an hour.

While I was in town I wanted to sit at his table just to see what it was like, but I never saw him. I probably would have had to go there very late. The market opens at 6:30 so I had to get to sleep early.
i don't get absolute nuts at all
is it a group, is it a person, is it the person who usually holds the camera/showing cards or the guy who is usually on camera
why is the guy's gf in every thumbnail?
like is it a group of people who just want to vlog their private games or an individual who runs a private game and thought it would be fun to pay one of the guys to be a camera man and edit it?
idk what's going on, but I definitely want an invite to those games, they look fun
So el diesel made around 8-10k from poker last year. Rough.
My guess of his income:
-9k poker
-4k youtube
-5 dividends
Poker is rough, kids stay in school, and then get a job related to what u studied.
Diesel stayed in school longer than 99% of us yet making the least amount of money.
He's also more frugal than 99% of us and is on pace to eventually get majority of his expenses paid for by low effort youtube videos.
Diesel's life...good, bad, ugly, in the end he's a simple guy who's content with his life.
I genuinely think he's happy with his life, which is what matters in the end.
I like how ppl on this thread call diesel supporters low iq and droolers yet what do u call ppl that actively hate on an autistic dude for not making better life decisions?
If Diesel looked more like TBC I doubt anyone hates on him the amount they do, but ppl cannot comprehend that someone that doesn't look autistic is actually autistic.
Y'all should learn from herbs and rye, choose to look past his faults and be patient with his quirks, in the end diesel is a nice person who means well.

I think you are having a very bad read, and dont know people very well if you honestly think Diesel comes off as genuinely happy with his life.
My impression is that he is just doing everything he can to make it seem that way, its this massive way of coping with his life being where it is. This is pretty common FWIW from people that is underperforming vastly in life, or is a loser and is unhappy/frustrated with where they are in life. The reality is too painful to deal with, so they do everything they can to take on a mask and try to make everyone think they are perfectly happy.
Also i disagree that he doesent look autistic. Its pretty easy to notice he is on the spectrum when you have seen multiple videos of him and study his demina, eyes, face mimicks, the nervous/fake laugh he always pulls off when he thinks he is "crushing" someone with his intricate so called arguments++.

That is approximately what my guess is.
I have Rice at 7 to $10K in poker earnings for 2023.
Rice played about 1600 hours of poker in 2023.
So I have Rice's 2023 poker hourly earnings at $4.50 to $6.50 for 2023.
I seriously don't think Rice cleared the federal minimum wage of $7.25/hr for poker.
I found it interesting that Rice admitted to losing money at poker in California, Lake Tahoe, Atlantic City, and Council Bluffs Iowa in 2023.
Losing in Council Bluffs must have really hurt, cause that's usually Rice's go to breadbasket for poker profit.
Over qualified to be NFL head coach since he never played the game.
Diesel has no shot at a poker dealer. It's one thing when you have a dealer that is a stickler for the rules. It's another when Diesel is gonna run his games how he thinks it should run and not what is standard according to Robert's Rules of Poker.
Here's an example from today's vlog. Someone bets $10, someone tosses in three red chips, at Diesel's table that's a raise to $20, period, end of story. Grab one too many cause the chips are worn or sticky? Too bad! It's a raise to $20, sir.
At Diesel's table, there's no asking what Player B wants to do, call $10 or raise to $20. Nope, it's a raise to $20 all day. Diesel doesn't need no stinking floor. He knows the rules as he thinks it should be.
The whole table will be walking 15 minutes into his down guaranteed.
Side note since I was quoting an NFL head coach coincidentally, if Diesel wasn't a poker player, one job he would consider doing is an NFL head coach or OC. He kinda tried but it seems people want to hire coaches that played high level football and not someone like Diesel who could do the job better even if the other guy was terrible at coaching. Diesel's skills getting snubbed again, this time it's his knowledge of game theory for football. Unreal how he's the best candidate again and no one wants to hire him. Weird.
The old men at The Orleans aren't going to put up with El Diesel's ****. They will start yelling at him and he will lose it and have nowhere to run to, as he will be stuck at the table.
Also, he basically said he will dish it out to them if they are giving him ****. So that would be fun also.

Someone should tell Diesel that when you work for someone, you are a representative of that person/business entity. You don't just do stuff how you think it should be. You follow long established commonly used poker rules.
Noooooooooooo ideaaaaaaaaaaaaaa why no one wants to hire him. Lol.
