i've learned not to post photos of myself here anymore because last time I did that y'all just drew circles on my crotch

but for reals, if i do use the univega or marin, I'm likely going to be replacing tons of parts before engaging on the journey

the other bike is still in a box but I did just learn it's not an actual folding dahon - not one of those city commuters but it's a 2 piece that's a big more substantial

the dahon tournado - get it? tour!

big thing I need to do is consult the route a bit more and coordinate more with the organizers who last time I spoke to them told me the trail was still not 100% decided - that bike will be great for gravel/dirt/road stuff but if there's any sections that are genuine mountain bike trails I'll need one of the others

and I am planning on buying a bike in the event none of these will work - but i think i can swing it and am a bit of stubborn glutton for pain

An Extra Pale Ale is basically the British name for what we usually call an American Pale Ale. British Pale Ales aren't anywhere near as pale as American ones, and are only pale in comparison to the standard British Bitters. Since they use extra pale malts, British EPAs are about as pale as APAs, so to have an American brewery use the term EPA is a bit weird. I presume they use British malts and/or hops, but it might just be a marketing decision.

It's pretty foggy up there but not at the British albino level.

I heard from a well regarded coach that in this type of situation one should "just send it"

I was testing you. You passed. The student has become the master.

by miamicheats k

I am a proud pupil of the AcePlayerDeluxe school of Just Send It.

Before I joined his class, I was a nonbeliever.

But after failing to land a goofy 1080 at least 2 times, I decided enough was enough. I ponied up for 10 hours of one on one coaching.

I explained my problem and the desired result. Ace sat there quietly taking it all in. After I finished speaking, he sat there without saying a word for what felt like an eternity. Eventually, he spoke up and said the most profound thing I have ever hea

Thank you for the yelp review.

took this bad boy from augsburg to venice up and over the alps

Did all that just to find out Venice doesn’t live near the alps, he’s in Murica. Duh. I’m sure it was a scenic ride though.

Funny how miamicheats got in there before Donat3llo's response to squid. Reading Donat3llo's post in that context amused me.

Also, my friends that took me sailing years ago are back in Oz. They've been touring around for probably ~1 year now. Got an update, in which they said (among other things) they found this "interesting snack".

Made me think of our friend here.

Are dried squid chewy or brittle? Salty? I’m intrigued as I’ve never seen this product before.

So I've heard.

Not that there's anything wrong with that.
