This whole middle eastern wedding fetish is so weird to me. Back home, a Turkish friend, pretty regular dude, starting saving up 500 bucks a month when he found out he was having a daughter in order to pay for her future wedding. An Iranian friend spent a couple hundred grand on his wedding because they had to fly everyone to some vineyard in Italy. I couldn't make it but they would have paid for my flight from the US.
