Truest statement ever made in SE.

The juice has gone bad

One has to be cautious not to confuse the two current story lines now running ITT.

He’s a decent chance to become depressed or a junkie or both down the track IMO. Totally obsessive and controlling about one thing for 25 years and nothing will replace the high of training and competing.

Can’t wait for the rock bottom photos of him sucking off a homeless guy for his last hit

bump....wassup fools?

Feels like we haven't much exciting draft noise in a few weeks.

by ligastar k

not interested in betting

the FO isn't going to trade him. that's not how they operate. they will call his bluff (if he's even bluffing... he isn't)

Tee isn't going to forgo ~$21.8mm by sitting out the season. he's going to play one more season w his homies in the 'Nati in an attempt to get back to the SB (and, at the same time, look to increase his market value w a better season than the one he just posted)

But that’s nothing new at all other than him confirming that he doesn’t think he’ll be traded? His trade request is still in and Bengals would still trade him if they get an awesome offer.

He’s just saying he’s accepted his fate. (And potentially trying to PR his way into a new deal or at least better coverage. Although I think most people empathise with his situation)

Last 3 or 4 mock drafts I've seen had exactly the same top 9 picks. Jets draft at #10 and there's so much other **** to talk about that team that nobody really cares who they draft. That makes talking about the draft a pretty dull exercise outside of your favorite teams picks.

Just wait til next week. Plenty of bullshit will be going on then.

The word on street up here in NE is that they are taking JJ.

+500 at DK right now. (Daniels -240, Maye +200)

Yes Sir fun happening besides draft. They can't get rid of Wilson. Owner came out and said they will keep if no trade is found. This is a hilarious situation. Wilson basically told them to F Off at the end of the season and here we are. The only hope they have, I have seen in the press is the Jets now Giving draft pick and Wilson to dump him and his salary. My My this is not a disaster at all. He just can't stay, and yet he remains.

A little background for this sad tale. He is a bust on bust team so nobody cares but it is funny. Midway through season, some reporter wannbe. Guy is on big sports NY radio station but basically just a Jets fan. Guy has Coach Saleh in his contacts they text back and forth. Saleh assumes this is All private. Wilson has been benched but its worse for team now --reporter texts him about going back to Wilson-- Saleh texts backing laughing so "no way." Radio guy puts all texts on blast, everyone in NY knows, Coach doesn't wana talk about it. Wilson Does get next start, LOL

Wilson does ok they get a win, next game takes a head shot out. Chooses to remain out for rest of year with his medical claim but everyone knows he is saying F You to coaches. Now they Must dump him and can't. They have no choice.

Doesn't really matter, kid is prolly done in NFL. I thought he did well against chiefs and showed some signs, but seems like he is done. It's just a mess that makes me laugh.

If the Pats draft well are the jets the worst team in the division?

Half of his $11mil 2024 cap hit stays with the Jets anyway because that's his prorated signing bonus. If they want to get rid of the remaining $5.5mil in cash and cap I don't think one or two 7 rounders will do that. If they don't want to attach a pick to him, best hope might be to cut him and get some money/cap back if he signs somewhere else for the league minimum.

suspect you're looking at odds for Pick #2

Pick #3 is showing: Maye -125 / JJ +200 / Daniels +220
JJ to be drafted by: MIN +125 / NE +200

so JJ to NE has some steam

Coach is gone. It's over.

I predict years of pain

Lol, my bad.

#4 still has the shortest odds for him at +175 with Marvin Harrison Jr. a -175.

10 days ago JJ was +300 at #2, + 330 at #3 +175 at #4 and +275 at #5.

I've stopped reading mocks the last few weeks. Where does the consensus have JJ going?

Browns took Brock and his (iirc) $16m cap hit for a 2nd rd pick 7/8 years ago. $17m, if it was that is prolly the equivalent of closer to $28m today. They cut him afterwards (again, iirc)

not total parallel because the Browns were tanking and needed the cap spend to get to the floor (once again iirc). So...guessing a team might need a 5?

Minnesota at #5.

The unusual part isn't even the top picks, I don't think there's less intrigue than in other years. We know who is most likely going in the top 5 but I'm sure there's going to be some drama at some point over the next 10 days. Including rumors that one QB is going to unexpectedly drop, most likely Maye or JJ.

But I don't remember picks 6 to 10 set like this in previous years. Outside of Dallas Turner at +210 for #9 on Draftkings, every other favorite has odds of +150 or less in their respective spot.

Didn't the Texans get rid of Osweiler so they could get Tony Romo from Dallas who then decided to retire instead?

Devonta Smith extends with Iggles 3/75-52

highest paid #2 receiver in the League by quite some way and prolly a little more than I'd have thought, albeit with 2 years left on his existing deal, it becomes a lot more affordable over 5 years.

Interesting comparison with Tee Higgins. I'd choose Smith ahead of Higgins, but they're the same age and Tee is two years closer to 'real' free agency which you would think increases leverage. Guessing Tee sees this as his floor now

I don't remember that part but it doesn't sound far fetched. I do remember the huge FA deal they signed Brock to and then his dreadful play in yr 1!

I think the fact that it is an extension makes it decent. I also like slim, so I'm probably biased.
