Thanks for your interest in the 2024 WSOP. Everything is being filtered by Bravo Poker Live now. If you have not done so already you will have to open an account with Bravopokerlive.com with your total rewards number. Bravo Poker Live website will allow you register events online. You will be able to fund the account with wire transfer and credit cards. Online registration will be open on Bravo Poker Live mid to the end of April. Bravo Poker Live will be taking wires thru the app called PayFiniti

My observations after this email

After looking into Payfiniti (they don't even have a MOBILE APP out yet ) and realizing I would have to provide to PAYFINITI my Bank account information and allow them Assess to my Account I balked and tried again with WSOP support. I HATE to provide any unknown app that kind of information and access considering the level of security breaches we have seen from established brokerage firms for example.

The only other option directly with Paris / WSOP appears to be a Cashiers Check.

Over/under how many years till WSOP takes crypto?

Someone earlier in this thread also mentioned that the payfiniti app to pay through bravo had a large processing fee. I can't remember the percentage though.

For anyone that doesn't know anyone in Vegas they trust to transfer crypto or Zelle cash in exchange for paper money, I would recommend calling around to some of the other Vegas casinos.

I'm not a local there but there's got to be a casino that would give you casino chips in exchange for a wire transfer without a big fee, and from there it should be simple enough to cash out and take the cash to the WSOP.

Sounds like a great and easy way to launder your money if needed 😃

Not sure if it was happening pre, but post-covid, the casinos have cracked down all over the place as it pertains to large chip transactions at cages, whether tables or poker. If you work with any amount over $1k period you are scrutinized, which is why the hoops to jump through are becoming more confusing. They are trying to deter the laundering, assuming that the “good guys” will conform to the rules, regulations or new processes regardless of how crazy they seem.

I remember the RIO being huge pains in the ass if you had even one 1k chips. But you could have 9500 in 500 dollar chips and they wouldn't give you an issue. I actually stopped changing 1ks for people bc it was such a pain in the ass to cash them in.

They already took it at the Bahamas. I imagine they just don’t won’t to deal with the hassle of US laws

I think their way around that exposure was to use Bravo and Payfiniti. As I recall Payfiniti did accept crypto but at a % fee.

How do you get the money into the States to use without getting slapped by fees all over the place? And the money needs to be accessible. Like does anyone have an optimal step by step?

Depends on what country you are from and what currency you want to change and of course how much you plan to bring.

Well for me as a German I know which banks I can use to get small amounts of Cash (<~5k$) without or just a small fee and good exchange rate. If you need more it gets a little more difficult and requires more planning.
I have no idea and highly doubt that it is the same for other countries, every bank and credit card company has their own rules and fees.

Funny think is I changed a 1k RiO chip at the Aria cage with no issue.

How long do these Daily’s usually go? 3-4 o’clock in the morning? Earlier? Later?

It may be tedious, but you could find out what banks have branches near the strip and open an account with them. Then you could just fund that account and withdraw cash in person once you're in Vegas.
