Knives no restaurant deserves more than two chances for you to have a great experience. I had to learn that with marche bacchus. My wife and I had easily 30 great meals there, even looked at having our wedding reception there. About 2.5 years ago, they lost most of their staff, went through 3 changes in chefs, and we tried at least 6 times and it was never the same. The service went from great to horrible, never saw the same waiter, special menus would look amazing and never taste up to par.

Noooooooo that is sad. Loved that place (but clearly haven't been in awhile).

First visit back to The Goodwich in like 2-3 years. It’s still awesome - we had egg salad, falafel, chips, and pickles. I miss having this place walking distance.

The one on the westside didn’t last and turned into Firefly, which I had recently and was pretty great I must admit.

I never felt like it was as good as the one downtown. Also slightly different menu which was weird.

have had zuppas enough times to say their try two combo, of soup/sandwich/salad is one of the better deals out there . 14 bucks for a hell of combo.

lobster bisque/the Chris and curry soup are awesome imo

Zupas is decent. Chain out of Utah I believe.

has anyone had the Lotus of Siam Brunch at Red Rock?
the chicken and waffles looks amazing.

Went to Mother Wolf again last night, everything was incredible. Seriously some of the best pizza and pasta I’ve had anywhere. The rib cap was also great. Really liked the dessert wine in the last pic too. $125 a person with 6 cocktails and the dessert wine included. We could have had one or two less dishes but still easily worth the money. Tier matching got us $350 off between us.

There are so many great places in Vegas for brunch, I'm not sure why you would go to brunch there. I'm sure it's just a menu put together by the casino marketing team.

WJ those pasta dishes look superb.

Sorry WJ, we just never seem to see things the same way. I think you are presenting that like it was a bargain to pay $600 for that meal? There are just so many better ways to spend $600 at an italian place in vegas. I went over to Fountainbleu the other day to tier match and was walking around and saw the menu listed outside of Mother Wolf, with no prices. I know sometimes casinos don't want to list prices on their website, but I have never seen a menu outside of the restaurant without prices, I think that should tell you something. Those meatballs are $30, squash blossoms are $28, and you didn't rave about either. Cacio pepe I thought was quite good when I went, but not mind blowing. My wife who is a great italian homecook thought everything was oversalted and our tastebuds skew heavily towards wanting things more salted.

Just off the top of my head:
Overpriced but atmosphere is great and food is very good go to Carbone (also if you are single become a regular at the bar)

More upscale adventurous Italian go to Vetri

Better pasta and much cheaper go to Matteos at Venetian

Much much better service and elevated food go to Cipriani

If you want a similar environment that is cheaper and food is better imo go to osteria fiorella at the red rock

If you are in search for a bargain, Vetri's place at Durango just opened. Very casual but we ate everything off of the happy hour menu for 70 bucks and were so happy we left a 50% tip.

Why would a 'Casino Marketing Team' be putting together a menu for a independent restaurant establishment?

Sorry WJ, we just never seem to see things the same way. I think you are presenting that like it was a bargain to pay $600 for that meal? There are just so many better ways to spend $600 at an italian place in vegas. I went over to Fountainbleu the other day to tier match and was walking around and saw the menu listed outside of Mother Wolf, with no prices. I know sometimes casinos don't want to list prices on their website, but I have never seen a menu outside of the restaurant without pric

I’ve never been to Matteo’s, Cipriani, or Vetri but they are all on my list to try. Been here 12 years and still have a laundry list of places to get to. I’m sure they are all amazing, Cipriani looks quite expensive but I don’t mind if it’s worth it.

The squash blossoms were very good, nice light crisp tempura type batter and the cheese inside them was delicious. The short rib meatballs were an 8.5/10, interesting texture with a slightly crisp outside. For the money I’d rather get another pizza though because it’s that damn good.

Considering it’s on the strip, very high quality, and you could easily get out of there for $50-100 per person including tip depending on what you get, I think it’s pretty solid value. I could easily go there and just split a focaccia, one pizza and one pasta dish plus some gelato and be totally satisfied. That would be around $85-90 plus tax and tip.

When I go with a group of friends we all just order whatever we want and split the bill so everyone tends to go a little overboard, even more so when there’s a comp involved. Had a few boxes to take home on this one. That cacio e pepe leftover cold is awesome too.

Just my opinion but I think Mother Wolf is a top 5 overall spot in Vegas for me considering food quality, price, 10/10 service I’ve had both times there, and overall satisfaction.

For what it’s worth my two friends who hadn’t been there before said it was best gelato they’ve ever had, best focaccia they’ve had, and somewhere near the top of the list for the pizza and pasta. The rib cap was also perfectly cooked and whatever kind of big chunky salt they use is delicious

Funny enough we actually went to Osteria last night to use up another big comp. It’s not nearly as good as Mother Wolf but I’ve been there twice and liked it a lot both times. 7/10 on my scale. Also, never order the grappa because it’s disgusting and the price is absurd at $30-50 an ounce. My friend ordered both and we all agreed they were awful

Will be in town with group of a dozen poker players the first week in June.
Our Sunday might be a good day to get off the strip and find a leisurely brunch for a group of 8 or 10 of us.
Preferably a fun place to take our time and enjoy some great food with a few bloody mary's etc.

Any Suggestions?

People I know love Main street provisions. Oddly I've only ever eaten brunch there and the food was good but not as good as most other meals I had on that trip, but your miles may vary and I think it mostly fits your criteria

It was also our last meal after a lot of drinking weekend

Bouchon and Tableau are my on-strip go-to’s.

My buddy used to be an owner at 18bin in the arts district, which had a great brunch vibe if you want a clubby brunch. I always loved the brunch at border grill at Mandalay Bay. Did my post wedding brunch there. Have heard great things about Esther’s but only been there for dinner, and didn’t even know MSP had brunch pwns… I will have to check it out. OH and if you have a car, DW bistro on the west side has a great brunch. And Honey Salt.

Now there is a brunch list. I would add kitchen table in Henderson, yardbird, the weekend brunch buffet at four seasons, and north Italia. All of the ones wyman listed are top notch.

For a brunch on the strip, I'm partial to Bardot, but Bouchon is fantastic.

I love Yardbird, but I feel like their best dishes are served all day.

I let one sub par service experience at Bardot get to me, I need to get back there.

Brunch: bunch of people, looking for fun. Not the super food overthetop place, but the new Durango and The George is a lot of fun. I've been for breakfast several times while playing the ponies.

Ive eaten at the George once... it was Aight. I haven't been back the Durango again because there is no reason to go to that Casino.
