OK Vlogger Thread, we are going with some new parameters to try to make this the POSITIVE vlogger thread that it is supposed to be, not the AIDS vlogger thread where a few loonies ruin it for the rest. Note that 'positive' does not equal 'only positive', it means anything negative being said CAN'T be namecalling or wild, unsubstantiated speculation regarding any and all vloggers. Personal lives and anything aside from poker is OFF THE TABLE.

What is the big deal?

The Orleans will feed him during the WSOP and then he can move in with a hot pit boss.

'Hey baby... How about we go out after work and get some Mayonnaise and Sardines?'
:p

I never agreed that Diesel was losing his **** after he had down swings and posted about them but today it looked like his world was shattered when he realized he can no longer get voucher drinks lmao.

Do people really care that much about voucher drinks when you can get them in a casino while playing poker?

It's going to create havoc! It's creating havoc already!

Diesel will be okay, but there are a lot of people who's lives revolve around this! And now it's gone!!

by parisron k

According to Diesel, a lot of people's lives revolve around the 4 free drinks a day, not him of course, he is just concerned about not being able to give some of the drinks to employees. lol

When he realizes that it's mostly people that earned D+ from poker, there will be another speech.

I'm surprised Big Poppa didn't tell him about it.

by angle_shooter k

Rice speaking about Caesars voucher drinks:

"There are a lot of people whose lives revolve around this"

No there is only one person like that and it's him. His whole world has come crashing down around him. It's like he has structured his entire life around these free drinks. $20 worth of milkshakes and $10 worth of other drinks every single day that he would otherwise have to pay for. It probably was a significant % of what he considers "income" from poker.

No way he's having milkshakes every day. He eats healthy, in case you didn't know.

by Old Man Coffee k

You can't get chocolate milk or blue Powerade in poker rooms!

Yup, you can't get a small cold milk to cook with, a cold Gatorade at 2 in the morning.
I'm sure Rice would take breaks from the poker table and go get a free beverage as part of the break.
No more ice cream shakes.
Rice is gonna miss this four free beverages way more than he thinks.

by parisron k

Rampage is in it also, wearing sunglasses vs these donk celebs. lol

Have you seen Rampage lately? He needs every edge he can get. He’s just as big a whale as they are.

by Koshka k

Diesel thinks this will kill the Caesars poker rooms cause now people will only grind to diamond and stop and not continue to diamond plus. Lol. This is the player pool he chooses to play with the most in Vegas. Yet he can't understand why his hourly is in the single digits.

Nor can he figure out that the grinders who do care about the voucher drinks probably aren't going to be giving much action if at all.

Contrary to what he thinks, while it will impact the business in the poker room to a deg

Casino status has become worthless unless you’re a whale. The old Vegas is gone, and the Vegas where they get 5 ounces of juice out of the 4 ounce lemon otherwise known as your wallet is here to stay.

The thought of grinding out Diamond status in THOSE games sounds like the absolute nut low.

It's the worst way to get it by far.
It's funny how he acts like he doesn't care that much about this when his body language says the total opposite and he has specifically said he was gonna play a ton of hours later this year at some Podunk Harrah's property to hit the 25k.

At unlikely as it is ,it would be amazing if some Harrah's executive stumbled upon his vlog and said that's it no more voucher drinks for poker.

Status has some privileges but is worth way less than it used to be. The best thing it gives most people is no resort fees which are a ****ing scam anyway. So yes compared to old Vegas that's not even a legitimate perk.

My casino gives zero status to poker. You simply don't earn comps or tier points from playing poker, and it's always been like that. The only one benefit they give poker players is comped parking, and that's actually pretty big because parking is hella expensive.

But if you have status from other gambling then you do get benefits in the poker room. If you are Diamond you get to go to the top of the cash game waitlists and you also get 50% discount on food purchases.

Even casinos where they do give out status for poker I think it's going to be more and more common to see them drawing a distinction between poker and non poker status. I guess when they see characters like Rice on a daily basis who milk the system dry it becomes a no brainer.

I'm not saying that it's only poker players that will do that sort of stuff. But there is probably a much higher % of poker players like that and the casino is less tolerant of them because they don't bring in anywhere near as much profit as other gambling types do.

this is probably one of the best things to happen to diesel even if he feels devastated

he's going to stop drinking these sugary drinks everyday and will just drink water and should lose some weight and get healthier too

He will just have to eat more sausages and rice to make up for all the calories he was relying on the voucher drinks for.

Lucky Chances in bay area gave .50c or $1/hr comp. Considering the rake and BBJ drop, it's laughable. You paid hundreds in rake in a single day, and max you can afford is 6 ling ling potstickers.

Does Rice consume adult beverages?

I remember the first time I played poker in Daytona they didn't even tell you how much you got per hour in comps. It was a point system. They told you food from the snack bar cost x points. When I did the math it took something like 45 hours to get a hamburger so I threw the players card in the garbage.

It's always amused be how many people shred money at poker but are adamant a floor man makes them up when they haven't been logged in for the last half hour so they can get their 50 cents.

Sometimes the floor is like, you haven't checked in for the last XYZ time, want me to put you in, it's free anyways.
Now I feel obligied to tip cus they went out of their way. The tip > comp rb.

On another note, Graton Casino trespassed me from their property when I had like $400-600 in food comps from BJ. I think that bothered me more than the ban.
So i get an idea where these people are coming from.

Does Rice consume adult beverages?

Only if someone pays him up.

What would be the most effective way for Diesel to up his rating in Caesar’s algo, so that he can get voucher drinks again? Betting No Commission Banker in Video Baccarat TBC style possibly?

zero chance he will put in money in anything he thinks is negative ev like slots.

i wonder when his first day will be,, im at the orleans 3 times a week. matter of time before he tries not to split pot in omaha hi lo

His rating is probably wrecked for life. He could have continued milking the cow forever but he chose to get too cute with all his voucher drinks hacks. That's the problem with guys like Rice, they always think they are way smarter than they actually are and they invariably underestimate everyone else around them.

Rice cant comprehend (spectrum stuff) that companies like Caesars, MGM, etc.. see customers like him are negative EV and respond accordingly.

Watching him react to losing his 4 drink vouchers was like watching a family lose their dog. Pure pain.

This thread needs to be locked until sanity prevails around here once again.

QFT. Trimming his disgusting untamed bird's nest of a beard did make him look younger/better (big shock)

But big lols at anyone who seriously thinks he's instantly transformed into a stud who's gonna start slaying. I was just hoping for this threads sake that all those comments were tongue in cheek, but hey the internet's gonna internet.

Poker players that achieve diamond plus status are either profit players or degenerates. No real reason to incentivize these players...they will play regardless. Diesel thinks this move will hurt their bottom line. Don't quote me but I'm fairly sure the bean counters have run the numbahs.

Yup. The feather sums it up nicely... particularly the last 3 sentences.

Wow, even the rest of Feather's comments are spot on. He absolutely nailed it as far as why Caesars removed the four free drinks benefits.

Whenever I went to Caesars Palace to get my drinks, the one lady restocking the drinks in the food court could barely keep up. Whenever I was at Paris Cafe Madeline, same thing. They always ran out of large Fijis and the lines had a few Horseshoe players and others picking up free drinks.

Although losing the drink benefits suck, Caesars made the right decision here. You can't fault them for this. These drinks were being abused constantly.

Caesars properties have been slowly squeezing all players below seven stars for years so this recent change should come as no surprise. I've been diamond+ for a very long time but once they removed food from their diamond lounges, I was done. My host even went so far as to tell me that all of my offers were reduced to near zero bcz I am now a local so my business was no longer valued the same as hotel guests

So I've been giving all of my play to two other hotels here in ac that seemingly appreciate their players at all levels. I live very close to both Ocean and Resorts at which even their second tier level is very easy to achieve and allows club access. Their clubs are beyond adequate with numerous food/drink options and excellent service. They also allow me to take as much bottled water as I want, altho I never take more than one. The point is that as time goes by, I think Caesars will lose business but there doesn't seem to be any concern for this on their part. So if you're dissatisfied with what's happening, there are plenty of other options as to where you spend your money
