If DMW dares to enter the 'Slope (Sunnyslope neighborhood in NoCenPhoenix), I highly recommend a delicious Church Music while enjoying Little Miss BBQ brisket or ribs (7th St and Dunlop).
I really enjoy the Shop Beer Co tasting room/production facility in Tempe, also. They do good beerz.
So, sitting in a clinic with the youngest Breeze (the black belt) who took a direct nut shot at a tournament two days ago and still can’t walk without assistance. (Yes, he did have a can on).
He still won grand champion at that tournament. Had 3 fights after the hit. Won them all.
He’s supposed to fly to BC in 11 days for another tournament. Odds doc allows it:
Go: +150
No go: -250

LOL at us. Just put the last detergent pod in the dishwasher and pulled out the empty bag to throw it away. It was only at this point that I discovered that we had been washing our dishes with laundry detergent for months.

Wait until you find out how many Tide Pods you’ve eaten.

In my experience, Doc's rarely give absolute answers. My money is on "maybe, but there is risk."
"Yep, this ankle is fractured."
"OK, cool, how long until I can ski?"
"Depends. You'll probably be feeling better after ~6 weeks."
"OK, cool. I have a ski trip in 6 weeks. Should I reschedule?"
"Depends. Sometimes, these can take 12 weeks. Sometimes, they never heal correctly."
"Alright, but that isn't what I asked. Can I ski in 6 weeks?"
"You'll probably be feeling better after ~6 weeks."

Kind of expecting the “i would advise against it but you do you buddy” schtick.
Are nut shots legal?
My understanding of Canadian sport sez "sweeping the johnson" is impolite and therefore frowned upon
One of the worst things I have ever heard (I didn't see it because I looked away in horror) was a guy in my medieval group who had taken a nut-shot that split his cup. Apparently some of his parts slipped out the crack, which then snapped back closed. As he lay there screaming, the first aid guys had to break the cup the rest of the way to remove it. The rest of us spent a good half hour cringing.
This is why you never buy a plastic can. My son's is metal. He hates it, BUT if his current level of pain is any indication, it's a damn good thing it wasn't plastic.
Waiting on U/S results to be posted.
Did Boomer GG go to the Nuks game last night and bring that cooler energy to the squad or what?
English only at the table, sir.
Eek! GL on those grandkids, prairie.

One of our hoop players took a nut shot when he was a sophomore. One of the toughest kids I know and when he went to the locker room and didn't come back out after halftime, I knew it was very bad. BBall players don't wear any protection anymore. He stepped in to take a charge and took a knee at full speed.
He was back in action the next year. However, there would always be 1 testicle fewer than expectations when he was on the court. To his credit he still stepped in to take charges the rest of his career. Turns out that doesn't take balls, just ball.
ZOLTAN!
That's an impressive Zoltan run right there.

Yup. Admittedly didn't watch a single second of the regular season and just bandwagoned the playoffs, which I enjoyed. First playoff game I've seen live, and they almost pulled off the comeback. Sadly didn't get to flip any cars afterwards.

really dumb hand
like 5 limpers at 1/3 and i make it $30 with TT in the sb. eveyryone including the BB calls.
flop J53 rainbow, i check, BB bets $30, everyone folds, i call
turn 7 puts of a flush draw. i check, BB gets $55 i call
river 3 brings in the backdoor flush, i check BB, BB insta shoves $200,i fold, he shows A7o?
i then realized my screw up - if he had a Jx-type hand he would not have insta shoved a flush completing-river, but thought about it. i just found it hard to imagine he bet with nothing into 5 people on the flop. probably should have folded flop but the price was too good.
