Pet Pictures
It seems like there's a lot of conflict and unhappiness in the world these days. It gets me down. One of the few things
wow... nineteen is a great life. What is her name?
Godspeed good girl!
So sorry Rich.
You know RG... you can get a keepsake made in the nature of a portraiture. there are a lot of artists, probably right in your local area, that do pet portraits.
When my Newman passed a way a few years ago I commissioned an painting of her.
Best money I've spent for my sanity.
Wow, that is nice.
Here's mine and story (my golddog on left, SIL's are the other two):
I was in NOLA for SB XXXI (Jan 1997). Wandering around the French Quarter in the days before the game, I came across an artist with her easel. Got to talking to her and asked about a drawing for my Mom.
We arranged it through phone, I mailed her down a few pictures. Some weeks later, I got the photos back with this art.
Gave it to Mom for Christmas that year. It hung in her house, unframed, until she died in 2018, when I retrieved it, got it framed, and put it in my place.
beautiful...
great stuff folks.
quickly sketched the dog with dry erase on a bathroom mirror sometime pre-covid as a surprise birthday gift to spouse, originally had text and other things.
he's been gone over a year now and we still haven't erased it
and this woman has amazing talent if you want to wait a bit for a commission

Awesome memorials itt!
RG, sorry for your loss. Heartbreaking process that we all sign on for.
I assume that is a decorative pillow that you keep on the floor somewhere? Did you find someone local to make that or is there a commercial source you found?
I feel kind of guilty that I barely have any pics of the dogs I had before cell phones put a camera in everybody's pocket. Fortunately my parents took plenty of pics of the dogs we had when I was a kid, so they kept those memories alive for me.

Oh wow... she's a killer artist. I am going to inquire.
Wow, Red, that's really cool. I (having no artistic ability whatsoever) always enjoy seeing/hearing things from people I "know" who do.
👍
Sorry Rich, cute looking doggo.
Awesome idea MSchu18 and golddog. I'm gonna have this done.
Godspeed Orla... All Dogs go to Heaven.
Saw this and made me think of the pet turtles here
Walk off win!
That's great.
Dogs are animals!
found at a shelter today
she hasn't told us her name yet but then again we just started hanging out
8-10 week range
a first month update
always amazing to see how fast they grow at this age
she's added half again her body weight and starting to sprout gangling legs
just the other day thought her silhouette resembled an at-at
sneaking up on fifteen weeks fully loaded with needle teeth and erupting molars
but more than willing to turtle back for belly rubs
👍
Looks like you had better have an endless supply of toys to keep that mouth occupied and away from items you don't want to be chewed!
She’s a beauty. Congratulations and nicely done!
