Who would you like to see in HCL Million Dollar Cash Game
Some time ago HCL announced that they will be streaming a cash game with minium buy-in of million dollars.
Who would you like to see playing in it?
My list:
1. Rick Salomon
Absolutely fearless, plays fast and loose and puts people in tough spots all the time. Has good feel for the live game.
2. Andrew Robl
Nice to have some super pro also in the mix. Robl is entertaining and fearless.
3. Alan Keating
Well, Keating is Keating. Guaranteed action.
4. Hanz
That huge bluff against Keating earned Hanz a spot in my line up.
5. Eric Persson
I don’t like his antics that much but Eric creates a very unpredictable dynamic to the table. He can throw players off their game or just punt his stack in one hand.
6. Nik Airball
It’s good to have few villains in the table also. Loose and aggressive, can win or lose big. I don’t know how much he would play his villain image in this group though.
7. Tony G drunk
I just remember one Triton cash game from Montenegro when Tony G was hammered and he was just super funny and loosy goosy. If he is sober, he just is fasting and nitting it up drinking his bone broth.
8. Rui Cao
Action, action, action. Funny guy and brings good energy to the game.
9. JRB drunk
JRB is not a good player and his poker is not that interesting but he is funny and can keep the atmosphere in the table. Player like this is also needed.
(10.) Garret Addelstein
I have mixed feelings about Garret. He is a legend but I feel too much focus would go on the Robbi drama so I would leave him out from this one.
Day 1 delivered
They match if you compare the HCL end of stream 'Cumulative Winnings' instead of the 'Chip Counts' image that you posted.

didn't realize they'd differ from subtracting the buy-in amounts i provided above! thanks for clarifying 😀
Dwan lost a full BI, not 1/2 .. he fully admitted that the 4x call can (and should) be a fold on the River .. I'm not so sure you even bet there the way the action went, not getting called by worse very often. Obv didn't want to do the interview, but somehow 'committed' to it.
Ryan basically cutting off the stream to allow employees to go home and avoid exhaustion the 1st day. It was probably a hard stop that could've been a soft stop if the Players wanted to play on off-stream. Probably no intention of going 'all night' the 1st day and possibly have a couple Players late or no show for Day 2.
Certainly a history of big folds .. the QQ fold PF shouldn't be a shocker for us to see. It just goes to show that this is a very large game and some of the Players are looking to ride that much variance while a couple are still willing to 'play poker' in certain spots. LOTS of props to those who are willing to go with their read and play the game hard. GL
First day was pretty good I think. Lacked table talk or real characters but there were plenty of interesting hands and some big pots. Looking forward to Doug Polk joining them tonight.
Airball is a big miss for this stream though imo.
i remember Action Dan folded AcQc. missed the other queen though, but i believe you. didn't notice the RFID ****ing up any during the entire stream.

Texas Mike wasn't scheduled for tonight's game but as mentioned on stream last night he will be playing! excited to see him and Doug battle and how that pans out. these two guys will definitely be wandering the streets with machetes feigning for bloodshed.

No one misses airball and his 13% vpip, not to mention he just steps out of the game for hours if he is up a decent amount. Im glad he’s gone.

Ya mb I was reading the stats wrong. Saying 500bb is more accurate.
I like the stream cutoff and I am sure Ryan learned from his first million dollar week. I like your read, the likelihood of someone no showing last year because of the night before is probably pretty high.

Airball is really good for entertainment purposes when hes not the strongest personality at the table. When he talks for 10 hours straight and no one else has the balls to start their own conversation is when hes irritating. Him laughing at Bob and Robs jokes last year made the jokes even funnier.

him laughing like Jimmy Fallon at anything and everything is annoying as ****. he's definitely -EV to have at the table for the (adult) viewing audience.
good news: Keating is not only playing on friday, but tomorrow as well.
You forget how absolutely brutal Tuchman is on commentarty
he's already said three times that he's gonna do his best to let us hear the players talk. the commentator yesterday was quite good imo. was like listening to one of the homies all night... anyone else think he did a great job?

Yes his half hour tanks are amazing. Even better when he berated Mariano for a several minute tank (which in a vacuum was far too long but coming from airball is comical)
Maybe airball a year ago was at least sometimes entertaining but after Berkey took away his moxy he's mostly an obnoxious nit.

He never knows what to say, so he just constantly resets and resets like it's 1987

Peter has discovered this one simple trick to make millions of dollars playing high stakes poker:
Always make better hands than your opponent.
Watching Tom lose is very entertaining.
Watching Doug troll Tom is very entertaining.
Watching Tom stack Doug would be epic.
I mean this flopped straight vs rivered boat Tom v. Peter could've been so much worse...
Like Tom could be down 2M RN
Jesus, enough about the Polymarket.
Seriously
Peter wins another big pot, this time vs Doug. Doug has 98, Peter A8. Doug x/r J88 flop then bet T turn and 6 river.
huge pot between Peter and Action Dan.
lol, i didn't follow the action because i was busy on my own tables, but i think Peter x/c all the way until river x/r? Peter cannot lose a pot today either. it's getting spooky.
995k pot
That recent hand where Peter rivered Dan was fishy. From the commentary, it felt like Tuchman knew it was coming, heck, I knew it was coming.
And Steve folded 64 on the flop which would have become trips on the turn.
Action: Dan raises 11 pre UTG, Peter calls OTB, Steve calls in the BB. Dan cbets 18, Peter raises to 68, Steve folds, Dan calls. Dan xc 150k on the turn. Dan xc 250k on the river (not sure why).
Peter already up 955k in under 2 hours.
Very next hand, Dan’s clearly on tilt and 5-bets pre to 129k with Q8dd, folds to Dwan’s shove. Dan loses 279k in two hands that he didn’t need to.
Action Dan tilts a bit the very next hand. Dwan of course shoves and AD folds.
AD down $600k on the day.
