Who would you like to see in HCL Million Dollar Cash Game
Some time ago HCL announced that they will be streaming a cash game with minium buy-in of million dollars.
Who would you like to see playing in it?
My list:
1. Rick Salomon
Absolutely fearless, plays fast and loose and puts people in tough spots all the time. Has good feel for the live game.
2. Andrew Robl
Nice to have some super pro also in the mix. Robl is entertaining and fearless.
3. Alan Keating
Well, Keating is Keating. Guaranteed action.
4. Hanz
That huge bluff against Keating earned Hanz a spot in my line up.
5. Eric Persson
I don’t like his antics that much but Eric creates a very unpredictable dynamic to the table. He can throw players off their game or just punt his stack in one hand.
6. Nik Airball
It’s good to have few villains in the table also. Loose and aggressive, can win or lose big. I don’t know how much he would play his villain image in this group though.
7. Tony G drunk
I just remember one Triton cash game from Montenegro when Tony G was hammered and he was just super funny and loosy goosy. If he is sober, he just is fasting and nitting it up drinking his bone broth.
8. Rui Cao
Action, action, action. Funny guy and brings good energy to the game.
9. JRB drunk
JRB is not a good player and his poker is not that interesting but he is funny and can keep the atmosphere in the table. Player like this is also needed.
(10.) Garret Addelstein
I have mixed feelings about Garret. He is a legend but I feel too much focus would go on the Robbi drama so I would leave him out from this one.

It wasn’t a perfect week, but I’m very glad it happened.
My initial thought is that I don't give a **** about this, cuz I kind of don't. Then took an extra lap of thought and realize it's a pretty big thing. Neymar is literally one of the most famous people on earth.
Maybe just me, but I kinda think this is a massive deal. Neymar is about as big a get as you can have. Dude has worldwide appeal. And obviously the others aren't bad as well, Butler is pretty big. And Keating is the perfect ambassador for these types of games. Imagine the behind the scenes whining Hellmuth is doing to try and get in this.
Yeah that's actually humongous, viewership will be insane.

This game will be epic for the poker world - the boom is starting to heat up
My main takeaway from this week is that I need to start my own games down the street and invite 70 VPIP fish instead of playing against the GTO assisted bots online I love to battle. These random guys are willing to show up and donate millions of dollars

Anyway, I think the vlogger game wasn't even the most watched.
It got 1.4M total views while an Ivey/Garrett/Dwan stream from that same year got 1.8M views for #1 spot. Maybe the vloggers got most concurrent live viewers though, not sure. Although I think one of the streamers had their own stream of the vlogger game, right? So maybe that one would've cracked 2M when combining streams.
Based on those #s I think this Neymar stream could maybe do 2.5M+.
Not sure what can be done outside of not letting the person play again but there needs to be some type of penalty for hitting and running.

It’s dumb to try and replicate the NBA coaches interviews etc etc. The reason for those is to “get to know” the coaches/players. They’re not sitting at a table for 8 hours chatting

The YouTuber Ludwig (who, full disclosure, I had not heard of prior to the stream and haven't watched since) did a stream of the game on his YouTube channel as well. It looks like that stream has 1.9M views in addition to HCL's 1.4M. So the Ludwing/Mr. Beast/Ninja game is solidly in first place if you count both streams.
That was an incredible last 2 days of streams. Well done HCL, really hope it's on again next year.

Keating is a great poker ambassador and isnt just some degen scammer of a poker player and he can actually somewhat relate to celebrities it feels like. Neymar game is going to be another big show for poker.
Just because you're successful in one thing doesn't mean it translates to poker and vice versa.

I feel like Tang is so close to being a crushing poker player. Probably because in another life he would be. He just needs to kick upp the aggression and stop clicking call on every river. Too rich, I guess. Hard to put the work in to learn considering he's a literal billionare and poker is just lolz for him. I wouldn't put in the work either lol.
