On the cusp of cashing this $600 PLO DeepStack?

It's like Daniel has had an epiphany.

Playing against plumbers in these massive fields might be easier than playing Monnette, Hennigan, and Glaser in a variant that 7 people on the planet know.

Always thought it would be fun to see him fire the bottom half of the WSOP schedule for a whole summer.

They're still in late reg, let's not get too excited yet.

That's a long reg period! PokerNews shows 416/2402, which would be just 56 spots from the money. I guess their numbers are still catching up though.

surprised at how much crap you all give him XD but tbf i do think either hes burn out half the time or he isn't really as locked in as he could be, I think he could be a great overall player in tourney and see better results if he just was more locked in.

hes already top 1-3% imagine he would crush harder if he was more zoned in each event

+1 to people saying GG is giving him a super nice bonus I think its prolly high 6 figures at this point

I bet it's 7 figures. I used to think the dude got like a million a year from pokerstars but hell, given his lifestyle and lack of regular poker income for many years it might have been more....

Silly to speculate but given what ivey made it's not unreasonable and he was one of numerous pros, pokerstars only had a few.

way more than that

he was reportedly making $3M/year with pokerstars and that was years ago

a midlevel GG ambassador that made the move from stars said GG nearly doubled his contract

I'd be very surprised if he makes less than $5M/year

I dunno about surprised if it's less, but certainly wouldn't be surprised if it is 5 million. He's bankrolling his through that and other endorsements (investments too obv) but given his extravagant life he's gotta be bringing in fat paychecks

Looking forward to today's vlog to see how he comments on the flush v flush hand. For a small ball Player, especially in NL, what hands are calling him down there? My understanding is that 'small ball' is more about PF/Flop play so you can get into these spots on the River, but I still think that in a tournament setting you just make the call and take down the pot versus 'thin value'?

Yes, it was a cooler of sorts .. flush v flush in NL always hurts. I just wish I could be in the same spot to see what I'd do .. in a tournament. He's going to say 'going for the win', but I also think that the pot was already 'ok' and you can't go deep unless you're still 'in' the tournament. GL

She actually did get ab implants. Pretty wild. Each to their own I guess. As long as they both are happy. For now.
And no, that's not how skin folds over abs naturally no matter how lean and muscular you are.

If he makes $3M+/year, he can afford to play all the high rollers he wants to.

^ and can afford all the ab implants & BBLs too

Ps.
Those abs look ugly!

All the things to talk about on this site and you losers harp on his wife's looks. You are the creepy internet troll meme everyone mocks when they mention creepy internet trolls.

I normally would agree with this sentiment 100 percent, as I goddamn hate it when people do that.

In this case, I can understand it, though – Daniel rolls her out and actually makes her physical attributes a topic of conversation. Granted, as someone who always liked Amanda more than Daniel, I kind of wish he wouldn't do that. But when he does, it's hard to fault people in this thread for commenting on it.

wat are ab implants are they really a thing?

Everyone can do what they like with their body, but I just have hard time understanding why would anyone want a BBL or ab implants? That just seems so fked up and looks weird.

If you got money you can afford best quality foods available and you dont even have to cook and you can get a personal trainer to help with your workouts. Then you are going to look like what you are supposed to.

yah but people are lazy and dont want to put in the work...they'd rather just buy the body lol

Lol, her stomach looks like something out of a He-Man cartoon

Nah. It's still strange to talk about her looks regardless what Daniel says. Amanda doesn't deserve any of it. By all accounts she seems like the Sweetest girl.

fwiw (nothing) I agree with this. She seems great, lively, bubbly, and like a very nice woman. I wish her and DNegs all the best.

Still odd life choice for someone in her position to get ab implants imo. It's just weird lol. Boob job, sure. Even butt stuff? Go ahead, I guess, I'd just do more squats but.... Ab or calf implants? Stretching it a bit too far by then

Just watched his vlog from yesterday. He made imo another bad fold getting huge pot odds. Not nearly as bad as the 52/1 pot odds fold but curious on others thoughts:

PLO

Daniel Starting Stack: 275,000. Villan covers.

Blinds : 4,000/8,000/8,000 (bb ante)

Button Raises to 20,000 Daniel calls with Ac7cQQ

Flop : A 3c 5c . So Daniel has top pair with nut flush draw.

Daniel Checks . Villian Bets 20,000 . Daniel Raises to 55,000. Villian 3bets to 225,000 . Daniel calls, Leaving himself 34,000 behind.

Turn is an off suit 3. Daniel Checks guy puts him all in for 34,000 and Daniel folds. 505,000 in the pot so he was getting 15/1. I guess it feels like the button has a boat.... but could something like kk24 with clubs be conceivable? A546 with clubs etc?

In GTO-land that hand is a pure 3b pre. if you wanna fold or stack off to a 4b is more marginal. Postflop looks like nut worst line to me but hey.

Wtf is that fold

I'm no sure she's so sweet that I would capitalize it, but yeah... definitely one of the nicer people in the poker world. She was also literally the first poker personality I ever met, so I'll admit some pro-Amanda bias from that, too.

June 14 episode opens with "It's amazing to me, in 2024, that people are still judging a player based on one hand history..."

Yet about two weeks earlier, Daniel goes around telling anyone who would listen about a player at his $10K Dealer's Choice table who chose PLO then proceeded to play Q775.
