Edit: RULES FOR THIS THREAD
Posting guidelines for Politics and Soci...
These are our baselines. We're not reinventing the wheel here. If you aren't sure if something is acceptable to post, its better to ask first. If you think someone is posting something that violates the above guidelines, please report it or PM me rather than responding in kind.
To reiterate some of the points:
1. No personal attacks. This is a broad instruction, but, in general, we want to focus on attacking an argument rather than the poster making it. It is fine to say a post is antisemitic; it is not okay to call someone an antisemite over and over. If you believe someone is making antisemitic posts, report them or PM me. The same goes for calling people "baby killers" and "genocide lovers". You are allowed to argue that an action supports genocide or that the consequences of certain policies results in the death of children, but we are no longer going to be speaking to one another's intentions. It is not productive to the conversation and doesn't further any debate.
2. Racist posts and other bigoted statements that target a particular group or individuals of such groups with derogatory comments are not allowed. This should not need further explanation.
3. Graphic Images need to be in spoilers with a trigger warning.
4. Wishing Harm on other posters will result in an immediate timeout.
5. Genocidal statements such as "Kill 'em all" etc, are no longer permissible in the thread.
If anyone has any questions about the above, please PM me. I don't want a discussion about the rules to derail the content of this thread. If anything needs clarifying, I will do that in this thread.
Please be aware this thread is strictly moderated
Israel can't play in the heart of Europe because of "security risks", that's how non-violent pro-Palestine crowds are in Europe
I thought fans at many European soccer games were violent most of the time.
Maybe Israel would have been welcome in the correct tournament if they hadn't broken international law and made a pariah of themselves.
Israel might as well play in the North American tournament, it's so culturally American anyway.
Just a thought. Poor old Israel, eh?
Sure, Middle Eastern Muslim countries are so well known for following international law.
No consequences when you hate israel
huh, wonder if anything else has been going on at the un lately...
I don't get what Israel is doing. If they are going into Lebanon then they need to mobilize.
BTW drama regarding Bibi's video and Biden is ridiculous.

I came here to say it’s funny how it’s ok to hate Palestinian kids but if you hate Israeli kids then it’s a crime. Macabre tbh
I agree with that, but clearly not the reason they aren't invited to that soccer league.
The whole idea of international law is ridiculous and nothing significant is ever based on it. Some times it may be claimed as a reason for doing something, but there is always some other actual reason.
In the Iran-Iraq war 500k-1m muslims got exterminated (1980-88). They were still allowed to play
"Extermination of Muslims"
You guys are the expert of hyperbole that's for sure
I'm legit mad at myself for hitting show post :(

Hezbollah claims that They will stop shooting rockets when this war ends in Gaza. So i'm not saying that they won't be at war with hezbollah, but I think there will be a break before that happens
Oh that's nice of them - you mean sort of like half time in football?

Glad 2+2 politics forum is not a proper representation of the world

Wait the UN is accusing Israel of crimes while ignoring crimes off the rest of the world? Or just be a day ending in D A Y

we still have the significant problem of some EU countries recognizing palestine as a state
As they should.
We keep telling you guys that "whattabout?" is not a defense that will persuade anyone over the age of six.
And I keep telling you guys that you are never going to persuade Israel to your side if you insist on having double standards, where it is one rule for "white Jews" and another rule for "brown Muslims."
That will not persuade anyone over the age of 4.
