Just found out today that Glen Rice is not even in the college basketball HOF. The human race deserves to go extinct for real.
maybe he was discriminated against for being asian?
This is a ****ing scandal. Not as bad as Mark Aguirre not being in the HOF but damn close.

How is Glen Rice not in the basketball hall of fame. Led Michigan to their only ncaa championship (1989). Still holds the record for most points in a single tournament 35 years later. Nobody could stop nor contain him. The most dominant tournament run ever.
Then he plays a 1,000 games in the NBA, averages 18.3 points/gm on eFG% of 50.8%. 3pt contest champion plus all star mvp. Was a key contributor on Lakers 99-00 championship run (15.9 pts/gm). Dude was a pure winner even in video game

To add to that. I was a big Mitch Richmond fan, very similar player to Rice but more of a SG. Not exactly a HOFer but he rarely gets talked about.
Couple things, Mitch Richmond is a HOF'er.
And of course Laettner is in the college HOF, but tbc he is not in the Basketball HOF (reminder there is no NBA HOF).

because I remember when he got in was the exact moment I stopped caring who gets in and vowed never to discuss it again
And to that end, Mitch having two Olympic medals (bronze as a collegiate and gold as a pro on DT II) likely factored in.
Rice never played in the Olympics. Not that he doesn't deserve to be in. He has one more AS appearances (3) than Rodman and at one of those he MVP'd with his own mini Klay-quarter (20).
Glen Rice was one of my fav's on NBA JAM.
For that alone he deserves to be in the HOF.
Big Ten guy us growing up in late 80s and 90s I got a glimpse of him through his entire prime. He was a boss and like you said, has the accolades. Didn't that bum Laetner get in? If so, cmon...

They ran Michigan off the court both times during the regular season but tragically fell short in what I consider the greatest college basketball game ever played, the Final Four matchup vs Michigan (33 lead changes!).

Sad part is Aguirre was a lock to win gold at the 1980 Olympics. Nobody is beating a team with him and Isiah on it. But ofc USA boycott ruined that opportunity.

After watching this vid I would have to agree. Hes certainly more deserving than Mitch Richmond or randoms white Celtics player from the 1960s.
