The law is stacked against the victim in these things and it just becomes a stressful, humiliating and traumatic process that ultimately gets nowhere - less than 10% of sexual assault charges result in convictions here…and that’s the ones that actually make it to a formal complaint

tonight i have thousands of dollars at stake on a lower tier USA soccer game with maybe 1,000 people in attendance and that's mostly because it's $2 beer night because these are where the edges are
but things going well, have the away team and the over and the away team is winning 1-0 after like 20 min

yeah for sure, ever since i started saying hello to fellow sportsbettors on twitter and various discords a little over a year ago and building my network I've learned so much and discovered lots of new angles of attack
i don't arb, have no interest in betting $100 to win $110 on one book and $105 to win $100 on opposite side at another book - instead i'll decide which side is the +EV one and just stick to that
arbing is also a great way to lose accounts because there is software out there which guides people to it so they all betting the same stuff at the same times and thus fitting a betting cohort profile and that makes it incredibly easy for a book to instantly know what's going on and they get limited to $3 a bet
not anything wrong with it specifically, no judgement or anything, but imo there's far more profitable venues out there that don't burn your account as quickly
i started out purely doing projections and betting spots where i slightly disagreed with the market (if you disagree a lot then you didn't find a goldmine, you made a mistake) and while i still do that, i also trade a lot on news and steam
like tonight was just purely a news play, the other team was expected to play their b squad, they instead showed up with the A squad, so i hammered them while the b squad pricing was still in play - since it's a lower tier soccer league that's possible - if it were nba or nfl the books would have adjusted the lines within 30 seconds of the lineup news
when you see people say "i like betting against the lakers tonight because lebron is out" - well that is already priced in, you're not getting a "no lebron discount"
this is the game to get an idea of how low a tier this is 😀
