Any recommendations for Phoenix?
Can be casual or fine.

As in Phoenix Az? I got the 411 for Central Phoenix. What are you looking for?
My favorite local spot is Otro Cafe, on 7th Street, near Bethany Home Rd. Mexico City Mexican food/street tacos. They have another new restaurant in the area, but I forget the name or genre. B'fast, lunch or dinner at Otro. Planning my b'day dinner there now.
Another couple of spots are the Windsor, Federal Pizza or, umm, the taco place next door. (damn this memory, son!) All three run by the same group, right next to each other on Central Ave near Camelback Rd. Craft beer and cocktails at all three. Windsor is more American food (ribs, chicken, burgers, salads, etc) More creative menus, I'd say.
Metro Phoenix is big area. You might not be within 20 miles of these places. Also, Scottsdale is a whole nother thing, of which I am neither young nor hip enough to partake.
Bavette’s skirt steak probably the best steak in Vegas for the money:
I can do that... looks delicious.
@park mgm?
LPM at the Cosmo is kinda of a hidden gem. the vibe is much more relaxed than other Cosmo restaurants . had a couple lovely meals there .
potato au gratin was one of the best ones I ever had .
my gf is obsessed with their cherry tomato gnocchi
awesome cheesecake.
highly recommend.
ok the cusp or casual and fine ,but a little lower price point than say bavettes.

heard a couple people rave about them and yelp seem to say the same. you went near its opening and not long after milos closed down. so probably more fine tuned now.
Got the charcuterie board at Wally’s for lunch, that is always a 10/10. I know resorts world is out of the way for most but Wally’s is up there for best lunch in town, although pricey. They also have a pretty killer bourbon selection, I picked up a bottle of their eagle rare house blend for 100 bucks. That is 45 over msrp but I also can’t find it in southern Nevada.
Went to rpm Italian for dinner because I saw a picture of the burrata lobster salad and needed it. It was very good, oddly it had plenty of lobster but I wanted more tomatoes in the dish. I also had two very average dishes with the meatballs and the carbonara. Meatballs are advertised as garlic heavy but they were bland to my palate and every Italian grandma makes meatballs that blow these away. Same goes for the carbonara, visually very pretty but it had these very light almost Asian noodles that were under seasoned even after I broke the poor bartenders hand turning black pepper I asked for. So many better options for Italian although if you are a fat ass like me who needs to eat lighter the lobster salad hit the spot.

Mother Wolf is the spot for Italian on the strip
We are aware of your opinions wj, well aware.
Anyway I know you will like this. I went to Bavettes, loved the atmosphere with the super super dark lighting old school feel. I sat at the back bar, really fun atmosphere bartender’s service was top notch. Steak tartare was a solid 8/10, bread was thick for a tartare but the quality was there. Reason for the trip to park mgm was the burger and it definitely delivered. Hands down the best smash burger I have ever tasted. I normally am of the opinion that it’s a hack to make above average burgers that are never great, this was great. I think it’s tough to compare it to Peter Luger because they are so different but they are definitely the best Vegas burgers in some order.
Cinnamon bun from Daily Bread 9.5/10:
looks wonderful...
I was told I need to try an Italian place called Esther’s. Can anyone confirm this?
