https://www.nbcnews.com/tech/internet/un...At this point anyone talking about "40 beheaded babies" is doing it in bad faith, normally to excuse some horrific act caused by Islamists. In the fog of war two different reports got distorted, merged and social media ran wild with it for a couple days. And

no, the 40 beheaded babies story is yet another in a long line of lies that were used to dehumanize the Gazans and justify the plausible genocide.

it wasnt fog of war. nor is it used to justify anything Hamas did.

also, Israel killed some of those 29 children. we know of at least 2 that were killed when a tank shelled the house in Beeri. https://www.middleeastmonitor.com/202312...

Israel is fighting a lot of different groups on a lot of different fronts (Iran, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, West Bank, Gaza, Yemen). If Israel assassinating 2 PIJ members in the West Bank is grounds for Hamas shooting over 1000 rockets at Israel from Gaza, then we have to accept that Hamas will be able to find any excuse they want at any time to break the ceasefire. And history su

Hamas did not fire the rockets in question. PIJ shot them. the wiki citing the AP said that Hamas "stayed on the sidelines of the conflagration".

these things are not difficult to look up.

Another terrorist family craftily disguising themselves. No match for those brave boys and girls of the IDF, though!

Raifiki could definitely attest but I'm going to assume besides that rocket attack there were also other skirmishes going on but damn, you're not sightly impressed with the relatively quiet year? And you need to give Hamas credit, they don't negotiate in bad faith. 10 year ceasefire and we can resume fighting again. They're pretty upfront with their plan.
Things were going along ok until those red cows showed up late 2022.

Another day without any unchecked aggression from Hamas. Really got to hand it to the IDF, they’ve been highly effective in subduing Hamas and preventing them from killing any more Israelis or Palestinians. It’s scary to think what this conflict would look like if it involved another military besides the IDF.

Where do you get the idea that Hamas does not negotiate in bad faith? Odd statement seeing as they’ve broken two ceasefires just recently.

Why would Israel agree to a 10 year ceasefire, how would have benefit them?

who would do such a thing?

apparently there's nothing anyone can do to make genocide joe end this, but on the plus side, israel's economy seems to be cratering because ~nobody outside of usa#1 wants anything to do with them. wild what doing the worst genocide since like pol pot will do to your foreign investment and tourism etc

thats bc of ancient antisemitism

Israel should not agree to a 10 year ceasefire based on Hamas terms. I'm just saying Hamas is upfront about it.

This reads like fan fiction lmao

Upfront about what? They break ceasefires on a whim and their willingness to honor a ceasefire at all is dubious. I don’t think anyone believes a lasting, long-term ceasefire with Hamas is possible.

Hamas never sets forth realistic terms given their position, which is at least very close to acting in bad faith.

Israel's position is literally give us the hostages back, stop fighting us, and let us attack you whenever we please.

incidentally, the Resistance has destroyed so many tanks that Israel is running out

I keep getting assured that China is going to step up and become Israel's sugar daddy.

in general, I take people at their word.

same. when hamas' leadership proudly state that their murderous and rapey rampage through israel on oct 7 was a warmup for the main event, i believe them

incidentally, Scahill interviewed PIJ leader. unsurprisingly, it is reasonable, coherent, moral, and considerate.

rage worthy

him and his pals are getting wrecked and they are desperate for a ceasefire, so they will say anything to further that aim

i'm not fooled. more importantly, nor is israel, and nor are israel's allies

This is simply not true. I’d suggest laying off the propaganda.

i said a while ago that israel should agree to whatever terms get the most hostages back and then immediately break those terms/go back to the business of liquidating hamas. its ridiculous that they haven't done this.

Keyword “some”. You insist on playing this game where you conveniently ignore much of the context and it’s obvious and tiresome. Why post screenshots of headlines instead of links to articles? Probably going back to mostly ignoring the incomplete thoughts you spew into the thread.
