Crossnerd is a saint for putting up with this tornado of affair.
Umm that’s exactly how reality works.
“Sexual harassment is any unwanted sexual behavior that makes someone feel uncomfortable, scared, or humiliated. It can be verbal, visual, or physical, and can include:
Unwelcome sexual advances
Requests for sexual favors
Offensive remarks or jokes
Unwanted touching
Forcing someone to participate in sex acts
Displaying sexual behavior that creates an offensive, intimidating, or hostile work environment”
^ from A.I.
Do you guys need me to break down what “any unwanted sexual behavior that makes someone feel uncomfortable” means ?
The EEOC has defined sexual harassment in its guidelines as:
Unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, and other verbal or physical conduct of a sexual nature when:
• Submission to such conduct is made either explicitly or implicitly a term or condition of an individual's employment, or
• Submission to or rejection of such conduct by an individual is used as a basis for employment decisions affecting such individual, or
• Such conduct has the purpose or effect of unreasonably interfering with an individual's work performance or creating an intimidating, hostile, or offensive working environment.
Unwelcome Behavior is the critical word. Unwelcome does not mean "involuntary."
A victim may consent or agree to certain conduct and actively participate in it even though it is offensive and objectionable. Therefore, sexual conduct is unwelcome whenever the person subjected to it considers it unwelcome. Whether the person in fact welcomed a request for a date, sex-oriented comment, or joke depends on all the circumstances.
"Forcing someone to participate in sex acts" is a bit more than sexual harassment.
Well, I suppose in the sense and to the extent that murder is also assault, and armed robbery is also theft, yes, it is still sexual harassment.
That is how words work after all.
Assault is only assault if they see it coming. If you hit someone from behind and they are unawares, thatβs battery my friends
^ these are all US definitions. I donβt know about the euro laws
On that note, making fun of someone for not being able to conceive is def sexual harassment of the highest degree
Good thing nobody did that.
You do not know what the victim said in her private statement about it to the moderators. That is posted in his user notes.
Sure. I don't know that. But I was around and in discord chats with the victim at that time so I'm not some uniformed person on what took place there. But most importantly, I know what Mets said and the context in which it was said

So do I because it’s all screen shotted in his user notes. I think it’s reasonable that the person did not say the exact same thing to you as she privately confided in another female mod about how she truly felt about it. It was upsetting to read.
Victim: Omg this modding is crazy. We have players asking for fellatio in the thread lol! What do I do?"
Mets: "Well if you're offering ... π"
--------
Crossnerd: "he should have been perma banned for sexually harassing another poster"
The victim actually said she felt “disgusted and unsafe”, that she felt “sexually harassed” and “crawling out of [her] skin”, that she was having anxiety in real life over it and how she froze, that she blamed herself, that she never ever wanted to talk to him again, and that he should be banned.
You do not have all the information. I do. And I can see in her own words how she actually felt about it, and it’s upsetting.
Is that bannable?
Clearly sexual harassment imo

I mean, that does seem like sexual harassment. You would be instantly fired from most jobs for that.
Are any posters employed by 2p2 here? Is Mets?
I meant it as an indication of what’s commonly considered inexcusable conduct. Whether he should have been banned for it on a poker forum is up to the mods.
Never heard of a fascist being dysfunctional enough to be guilty of sexual harassment before. They're usually so respectful of women.
If it boiled down to the victim saying she didn't want to post here any more because Mets' presence was making her feel threatened, and him being banned, I think he should have been "asked to leave".
