Gobbo other Thread got closed by the mod said it doesn't belong in the House of Blogs, hoping we can have this one without Trooper talk.
This thread is to discuss local professional poker players on their journey. Please refrain from mentioning the local youtube celebrity who plays poker.

This now stands for this thread:
Trooper97 vlogs, discussions etc. will be allowed to continue in the new thread. That thread will not be unchained and I will work with the other LVL mods to keep it civil.
I personally am not going to allow a lot of the horrible posting that went on in the original thread to take place and I will be very generous with post deletions and bans if needed.
Posts the are overly derogatory, mean spirited, name calling (including using rude derivatives of names) , and demeaning posts towards any of the vloggers or posters in the thread will be deleted at the mods discretion. If any accounts persistently do this they will be banned or exiled from posting in this thread. In these cases we may issue a warning first.
Accounts that are used only to or substantially to troll post in this thread will be banned.
No personal family information or situations allowed in the thread.
Update April 2018
********************
OK Vlogger Thread, we are going with some new parameters to try to make this the POSITIVE vlogger thread that it is supposed to be, not the AIDS vlogger thread where a few loonies ruin it for the rest. Note that 'positive' does not equal 'only positive', it means anything negative being said CAN'T be namecalling or wild, unsubstantiated speculation regarding any and all vloggers. Personal lives and anything aside from poker is OFF THE TABLE.

A new update March 2019:
NO ****ING POLITICS!
This environment gives them a form of excitement and entertainment that they otherwise would get through various outdoor activities like snowboarding, hiking mountains, mountain biking, paddleboarding, fishing, and 50 other things. Not everyone gets to live in Colorado.
I'm walking on a beach reading this thread, turns out people have tons of free time
Plan was to find a dealing job ASAP. Work 75 percent. Play 25 percent. Didn't work out.

I feel like you are exactly what pman would end up like if he didn't have his dad bailing him out from reading your thread.
I hope things are better for you now, but damn you didn't do yourself any favors at all.
Diesel does alot of stuff wrong but if we're comparing him amongst the misfits of society he is pretty much the king.
Diesel and TBC are pretty much the only ones I've seen from the misfits that have been profitable from poker. TBC is much better at poker but Diesel is much less autistic.
6 figure portfolio, eeking out a small profit from poker, graduating from higher education (even though he can't utilize it), successful youtube channel with low 4 figure monthly potential.
He has a likely upper middle class family that he will get a good inheritance from.
Even if he isn't successful by society's standards and he has many off putting personality traits, he will be just fine in life.
Some of us are even being paid while we're watching youtube and posting on internet forums. What a world we live in.
I was sitting right next to this new Vlogger at South Point a week ago... seemed like a really nice guy, but he is new to the Vlog game.
El Diesel/Rice is still shook from what has become known as the Red Rock Massacre when he lost 60 bb ($180) in one hand.

The last time I saw him that rattled was when he lost the drink vouchers.
99% of vegas players must know how he plays and probably no one ever pays him off now.
He probably thought he was being so clever by attempting a bluff in that spot, and honesty it would have worked 99% of the time if the player had the lower side of their range and the player wasn't an omc, so his reality got shattered.
Doesn't get paid off when he gets hands, can't get his semi annual bluff through, how is he going to make money now?
He is stuck in his ways and won't open up his game, so he chose to flee to another place where less people know the way he plays. It's a matter of time before people realize how he plays and it will likely be the end of diesel's career as a poker player.

What ocean beach is in Colorado?
I wonder how Rice's investments are doing?
If he had a young man's portfolio of growth stocks he would be closer to retirement.
A 2% dividend return must be driving him crazy when compared to lesser mortals who just buy a 500 index.
I don't know that he would be much closer. He'd have a bigger account, but he'd have to sell it to accumulate divvy stocks. That would take a number of years. That's the key with owning divvy stocks that grow - the yield relative to typical current yields would be much higher because he bought them a decade ago.
Makes little sense if ELD goes to Iowa I checked the rates and rooms are $80 to $150 a full ten times the rates ELD can get in Vegas.

It's funny how Nomad paints the picture out to be that it's just not fun or enjoyable for him anymore in Vegas. He always stresses how much he prefers a talkative and social table that's having fun. But yet he chooses to play in the most depressing games full of OMCs and comp/promo hustlers. Always plays at the worst time of day/week and in the worst rooms when there will be very few tourists of recreational players.
The truth is that Nomad was the youngest and tightest OMC in Vegas. His so called "joy" in life comes from getting as much stuff for free and living as cheaply as humanly possible. Grinding long hours for the most miserable hourly rate imaginable in the most miserable 10 handed 1/2 games with ultra low buy-ins full of equally miserable nits all chasing comps and promos.
The real reason he is leaving Vegas is that he can't afford to keep living there. With the loss of his daily drink vouchers and the prospect of less and less affordable rooms on the strip it seems like he wasn't as immune to inflation as he pretended he was. It's very likely that he realised he wasnt even going to qualify for diamond this year which meant no more waived resort fees either. And we now know that he would prefer to stay in a dingy 1 bed hotel room at Harrah's than having a beautiful sprawling beach house in Miami.
I don’t think he had good results last time he took a trip to Council Bluffs but historically he does his best there and at Potawatomi. Diesel will scrounge up some good room rates from somewhere, he always does.

Sometimes in life you take your shot and fail.
I'd rather try, and fail, then never try at all like 97 percent of the world.
My thread was a cautionary tale to have a better plan than I did. Sorry if that went over your peabrain head.

I hope council bluffs has a nice parking garage. Diesel seems to enjoy spending his free time there.

That drink voucher thing really hit him hard. For me, the vouchers are just a convenience. There's no way I'm paying Strip prices for drinks when I can just drive to Walmart and buy them for a third of the price. Which is why it doesn't make sense for Diesel to get bent out of shape over losing the vouchers. Unless it's because he likes to make a big deal out of giving the drinks away. Which is sad - He thinks players and dealers say "Yippee, here comes Diesel, our great drink benefactor"?

He'll find a couch spot to bum off someone for awhile. Wonder how many people he knows there.
