2024 Presidential Debate 2 Electric Boogaloo
Starting off to a great start where first question is not answered and ignored and they just go straight into talking points
Harris did better then I expected, she was more polished. But still offered nothing new and used the same old talking points/lies towards Trump. Her rebuttals were terrible because she was off script, she got really nervous and jittery whenever fracking and Pennsylvania was discussed, which probably means it's in play and their internal polls are bad. Trump's closing statement was much better then hers and his challenge to her to go close the border was strong.
All in all Trump was as expected, Harris was better than expected. Probably won't change much but Harris showed her hand and expect Vance to hammer Walz on fracking bans, gun confiscation and the border for their debate.
The fracking claim... can someone find a source? All I can locate is when she said she was against fracking on public land... which was an issue at the time when she spoke about this.
Regardless, people are allowed to change their position, as long as it's not just bluster or pandering.
1:58 mark

so stuff that is completely made up and not real. cool. sounds standard republican policy talking points.
Truth should he defended especially when there are plenty of absolutely reasonable lines of attack vs trump, making up falsehoods and entire absurd narratives is terrible.
It predisposes for the same to happen no matter the candidate, life will go on after trump (which could be as soon as some months from now) and we are all really better off if we stop making up false **** to attack people who represent ideas we disagree with.
Also, it backfires with normies. There are people who realized at leas
Are you for real? Seriously... you're talking about a man and an infrastructure that literally and intentionally makes up entirely false realities and narratives on the daily about everything to con their base.
Hatians eating pets.
Doctors killing babies.
Kamala is a Marxist.
Inflation at 20%+.
Millions of people flooding into America illegally.
Pelosi is responsible for Jan 6th.
Biden took millions from Ukraine.
Crime is through the roof.
And on, and on, and on.
And you're complaining about things like Kamala pointing out, his "fine people on both sides" and bloodbath comments, that are actually TRUE. He said those things... and he was coming to the defense of neo-Nazi's in Charlottesville. He was even thanked by David Duke for defending him.
Ty... so do you listen to that and think... ya, this clearly proves she said it? I'm just curious, because it doesn't, and her setup is even intentionally misleading.
This is what she actually said:
During her 2020 campaign, Harris publicly voiced support for a fracking ban, telling CNN, “There’s no question I’m in favor of banning fracking.”
“And starting with what we can do on Day One around public lands, right?” Harris said. “And then there has to be legislation, but, yes, and this is something I’ve taken on in California. I have a history of working on this issue and to your point, we have to just acknowledge that the residual impact of fracking is enormous in terms of the health and safety of communities.”
I remember her talking about this because it was a major issue where I live. A lot of people on the right wanted to open up public lands to fracking, and Harris and most of the left were against it.
So.... this is a DESPERATE reach to the uninformed, imho. And the right wants to complain that bloodbath was mischaracterized? Or fine people on both sides? lol
I really think you guys are giving way too much credit to Harris for her performance. Of course she won last night, but that is because Trump is an unhinged buffoon that is just making stuff up as he goes along.
I said it earlier but I'll bet if you put one of his debates against hilary up against last night, you'll see a huge difference.

I don't think anyone is claiming that she pulled off some historically great debate performance. She isn't a gifted enough debater for that to have been a possible outcome.
But she executed on her plan without any major stumbles. After the first ten minutes or so, she seemed comfortable. And she didn't let Trump's antics cause her own performance to degrade.
There was only one real stroke of genius last night, which was the decision to needle Trump about his rallies. I don't know who pushed for that strategy, but it caught Trump by surprise and worked to perfection.

And she did it when the question was on immigration - Trump's big winning topic.
Instead he got distracted and rabbited on about having the biggest and best political rallies in history for a bit...

Seems like most people I've read are saying she covered the spread going against a bad opponent. That's about it.

I really like Trump's response when he was asked about how he very recently admitted to losing in 2020. Initial confusion (I said that???) then lying and saying he was being sarcastic. He's so weak that Nazi dude turning on him hurt his feelings and forced him to disavow himself lol.

and that is what is hurting Trump in my opinion. Magaland has become megaonline. how many of us had to explain to family members wtf he was talking about with the cats and dogs thing or understood what he meant when he briefly mentioned aurora?
how online do you have to be to even know what you are talking about in your post. like how many people read your post and go, yeah Nick Fuentes went off on trump about the lost by a whisker thing and now he's walking that back. how many people even know who nick fuentes is?
Truly incredible for the majority owner of a social media company (albeit a badly run, unprofitable one) to be "very online", unpresidented
I wonder if Harris was lying in this clip or last night?
