New fast food discussion/review thread
OK OOT, it's been a while since we had a devoted fast food thread around here and I think it's time we had a new one.
In
cross posted from LVL thread for reasons:
I've heard nothing but good things about Japanese 711 or Lawsons egg salad sandwiches.
I just can't do it at all in the US. I'm never buying egg salad at an American 711. Maybe a royal farms or wawa
yes 7-11 is surprisingly a thing in Japan I guess cuz all of the youtube vids I've seen about eating there have been very positive. Like night and day vs. USA quality-wise.
add sushi to something to never buy at an American 7-11. A former gf of mine did this and offered me a bite. It tasted like what I would expect rubber to taste like and I instantly spit it out. The funny thing is that she wolfed it down (after LOLing at me) but then would rag on me about how crap TB was.
The Family Mart food vending machines at the Tokyo (Haneda) airport are awesome. Sandwiches, pizza rolls, seaweed wraps, donuts were all good. I was stuffed spending $3. (About 4 food items)
I was pretty impressed with the AM/PM in the Kintetsu station in Osaka 25 years ago. Never saw anything like that in US convenience stores.

It's art!
They really could have come up with a better name than Saucy Nugs.
Might go to Chipotle tomorrow and try their Limited Time only smoked brisket in a bowl.
Has anyone tried the Big Arch at McDonalds? If so, how is it?
I'm a Canadian boy here, so I'm not sure if that was released in other locations.

one of your fellow canadians reviewed it upthread.
We got this new big arch thing this week, will likely be a permanent menu item going forward. it was pretty good but the tangy sauce was on the sweet side and Def not as good as mac sauce. Might try it with mac sauce if I get it again. 2 QP patties, $9.99 CAD. Would use the holo card on that.
I'm a Popeyes fan and I've tried a few things on their menu and they've been good. I recently tried the chicken nuggets and I will say they were a bit of a let down. The other items I've had have been way better like the chicken fingers, chicken sandwiches and chicken pieces. I definitely don't recommend.
The Popeyes in my area always confuse me. I'll go during lunch and they always have a very limited selection. Like they will have zero spicy chicken. And this is at noon. Also:
1) Every employee is middle eastern. There are a few Popeyes I'll go to and it's the same at all of them.
2) They are, by far, the cleanest FF place I've ever been. Not sure if that's related to point 1.
3) The service is always great.
I just wish the entire menu was available when I visit.

first guess is all are run by the same franchisee
who somehow thinks they can't compete with local wings
Didn't go to Chipotle, instead went to an upscale diner and got an amazing burrito bowl that blew regular Chipotle food out of the water.
Eyyyy, I’m typin’ here!
Just snagged a $5 McChicken meal at McD's. Worth every penny, it really was! Pretty good service too.
I had wings last night at Nine-Eleven Tavern (top 5 in Buffalo area IMO). Delish every single time.
I DON'T KNOW HOW TO POST PICS. I can email the pic or text it to you and you can post. PM me.
my wing man nate sent me a pic
