New fast food discussion/review thread
OK OOT, it's been a while since we had a devoted fast food thread around here and I think it's time we had a new one.

Thanks Red, as always you are the best.
Those might not be the pinnacle of wings but they are damn close.
I never get wings, but those look pretty darned elite.
I understand this from a value perspective. Wing prices are rediculous at restaurants, and now a "wing" = one flat or one drummy at most places.
Chicken is inexpensive. I can get wangs for under $3-4/lb retail supermarket prices, and make pretty dang good wangs in the air fryer, which really weakens the case for buying them at restaurants.
However, I did pay $5 for 3 gas station chicken tendies, a pretty decent deal considering the place was next to the middle of nowhere. Each chicken has only one tendy, but two wangs.
sidebar: I love my air fryer. Did Mrs. Paul's fish fillets tonight for first time and they tasted amazing.
I love love love wings and godamn those look amazing

Wing prices are ridiculous and one reason I almost never order them. I'd guess I order them once every two months and I will only order from the best places in the area. Nine Eleven Tavern, Duffs, Bar Bill. Buffalo has plenty of places with awful wings.
I'm going to the original Anchor Bar this Friday. Haven't been there in about 15 years. I'll send Red pics to post.
This will be a rare back to back wing weekend.
I don't see any grill marks on those wings, so obvi can't be pinnacle wings.
Fried + tossed + grilled >>>> Fried + tossed, you know, like, IMO, man.
Those wings do look great.

I forgot to mention, nice plate of wangs there. I grew up eating them with white rice, I wonder if any wang places in buffalo offers rice?
I need to pick up wangs from the market now.
edit: ty for the bk heads up! love it when people post the hot deals
I haven't had one in years. Was pretty darn good!
Especially compared to the other cheap chicken sandwiches.
Yeah basically you know what to expect with the OCS. There's no surprises. And there's a baseline of value, which I'd say as, at worst mediocre, and then there's that element of nostalgia; which can really hit the spot if you haven't had one in a while.
been snacking on culver's cheese curds like 3x a week
Today is National Cheeseburger Day.
Lots and lots of Cheeseburger deals out there today.
Had a deal for a free CFA. Walked up; that, hash browns and a cup of water made a pretty good breakfast for < $2.
