LAKE LURE, N.C. — Federal emergency response personnel on Saturday had employees operating in hard-hit Rutherford County, N.C., stop working and move to a different area because of concerns over “armed militia” threatening government workers in the region, according to an email sent to federal agencies helping with response in the state. Around 1 p.m. Saturday, an official with the U.S. Forest Service, which is supporting recovery efforts after Hurricane Helene along with the Federal Emergency Management Agency, sent an urgent message to numerous federal agencies warning that “FEMA has advised all federal responders Rutherford County, NC, to stand down and evacuate the county immediately. The message stated that National Guard troops ‘had come across x2 trucks of armed militia saying there were out hunting FEMA.’”

So Trump was doing some rally in CA, and he secret service pulled over a guy nearby with fake plates, a bunch of fake IDS, and loaded guns in the car.
The amusing part of it is the guy says he is a MAGA Trump supporter, and that is just how he rolls. And the story is plausible enough it isn't obvious whether he was there to cheer Trump or try to assassinate him.
Maybe I am just in a bubble and it isn't real; but it does seem like Musk campaigning for Trump is turning the election in his favor. Musk has been on a blitz pushing all this cool rocket, robot, AI technology; tying it to the election, and basically arguing Trump supports this progress and Harris supports a regulatory state that wants to stifle progress and is waging "lawfare" against innovation itself.

i'm pretty sure that when the national guard encounters 2 trucks of armed militia members threatening members of the government, the expected outcome by a majority of the people who own the national guard....is 2 trucks of dead militia members.

Right, that's exactly what I meant. You'll uncritically repeat whatever criticism is popular. If the nominee was someone else, you'd be repeating the "facts" you heard about them. That you don't know what criticism to level at other candidates because you haven't been told what to parrot doesn't mean they are better candidates, it just proves my point.
