2nl to 200nl or die trying...
Hi all. Thought I would start recording my progress as I attempt to grind a roll from 2nl to 200nl and even further if p
I agree. The new format is great. Very entertaining.
Pretty much same lol... if it wasn't for having to update this thread every day I wouldn't be forcing myself to play.
If I've learned one thing playing, its don't play if you don't want to! You'll never be on your A game, just going through the motions and youll get burnt out quick!
Then what is your motivation if you don’t like playing most of the time?
Then it becomes a job that you don’t like but still have to do every day.
Because I want to achieve something. I don't like working out much either but I do it for the same reason ๐
I mean don't get me wrong I am fascinated by the game, and part of me does enjoy it. Just a lot of the time I don't actually feel at my best or that I want to play right at the moment, so I need certain things, like this thread, to push me into it.
Decent sesh. I think probably made a mistake in one hand with AQ, i'll post it. Ran KK into AA BTN vs CO but sucked out and jammed AK into a cold 4bet from a fairly aggro reg in blinds and ran into KK and lost for 100bb.
Day 29 results:
BR: $340.40
AQ hand:
I agree with your analysis.
I hate folding top pair top kicker too.
It takes so much discipline and patience to wait for the next opportunity.
Short but fairly sweet session today. Woke during the night and could not sleep for a couple of hours so session started late. Pretty annoying in one hand I flopped a flush vs a huge fish and he raised turn. I was deciding whether to call or jam and I timed out and folded lol... Pokerstars timebank system sucks at times, feel like you get 5-10 seconds to act and I'm not always sure when my timebank will run out, so even in other hands I feel rushed.
Day 30 results:
BR: $369.75
Felt like I was playing quite well today. Had one really sick hand which I lost for 130bb which really hurt final results.
Day 32(corrected since I put day 29 twice lol) results:
BR: $375.64
Some hands from session:
Your doing great! Keep up the consistancy and you will make it to 100NL within 2025 for sure!
As soon as you reach 50NL, i suggest you spend that 60USD per month on GTO Wizz and start doing 500 preflop drills a day or more. You can even do them on your phone.
Focus on your preflop mistskes first. This way you save a lot of time analysing hands, which you would have played diffrrnt preflop anyways.
Peace!✌🏻

Thanks, that's definitely in the crosshairs. For now I'm going to keep going until my winrate slows down or goes into decline. Once I feel my strategy isn't good enough anymore I will look to start changing things up.
QQ hand looks like a punt.
Prob yea. But i would never take that line/sizes.
Been back in the lab yesterday and going to do a bit more today(MP and UTG) working on my ranges a bit more. Specifically 3bet defending ranges. I will be 4betting much more aggressively than previously vs any reasonably aggressive regs. I now have what I think should be a fairly solid gameplan for when opeing from the sb and button and CO facing 3bets where before I was much more conservative with my bluffs, only 33%, now exactly(within 1 combo) 50% of my range will be bluffs. Let the spew commence!
I tried playing earlier but could not find even 1 table with a fish on in 20-30 minutes of waiting so... I'll try again later.
is this pokerstars?
