I usually dont really bother with whataboutism arguments, but would like to get your take on what other countries should be banned from international sports.
I supported the ban on apartheid South Africa (in fact before it arrived). Israel and its clubs should also be excluded from all sporting competitions and a similat set of sanctions imposed to isolate it internationally.
Zero chance of that happening of course, because Israel is the arm of the West in the ME.

You could widen the net to include every country supporting the genocide but you might as well cancel the competitions.
Syria, Iran, Turkey, Russia, Sudan, Darfur, China, Iraq (I can go on and on) are all perfectly ok competing, but Israel is not?

From the look of it, someone in Israel is making up the claim that our government issued such a warning when that didn't happen (to my knowledge), either mistaking enhanced security warning (which are something different, we are very good at law enforcement protection of events and for ex when bridge stabbing and vehicle incidents happened in the UK we prepared here with warnings, didn't meant we had knowledge of imminent attacks but copycat attacks are common) for specific warnings about specific attacks, or making that up to give the impression muslims are more violent than they are.

the warning is based on intel we gathered. no one is claiming that the Italian government issued the warning.
the warning clearly states that there are calls online to attack Israelis.
I believe you it is safe going to Italy and if I was a sports fan, I would have definitely not hesitate going. but the warning is clear and based on intel.

They claim THEY have gathered intel from online posts, not that they were given intel from Italy.
Personally I like to think of genocide as a separate and special case of gross atrocities, as distinct from your normal run of the mill invasions and wars.
I mean, there's even a special international court set up to try people for that crime.
As for external Israeli symbolism or anything that can get you considered as a jew "officially" yes i strongly suggest not to wear any but that would be the case basically at any leftist protest in general.
I tried 3-4 times to bring an Israeli flag with me at those protests (they tend to protest a few min by feet from where i live in the center pretty regularly) to trigger the communists and i got harassed pretty heavily and i am a tall strong looking man, i can't even imagine what would happen to older people or women if they tried.
