ex-President Trump
I assume it's still acceptable to have a Trump thread in a Politics forum?
So this is an obvious lie - basically aimed at
President Trump and Elon would like to wish everyone a very happy thanksgiving from Mar a lago!!
Elon was enjoying "YMCA'
Money can buy elections, but can't buy class
man with dozens of kids spends thanksgiving with none of them
Saw a funny meme the other day.
Elon has 235 billion dollars. There are only 8 billion of us on earth. Why not just give everyone a billion man?
Ok so how does he give everyone a billion if there are 8 billion people? Is the joke that Americans can't count? He can give everyone 30-40 bucks, a bit of a far cry from a billion.
Using some of his money to fund some remedial 3rd grade level arithmetic classes for American adults would probably be a more modest and useful request.
If it's a joke, I don't really get it. If I said to you "hey, check it out, I have 100 bucks, that means I could give 100 people a million bucks each" would you find that amusing?

Haha
A bit too much egg nog I guess
I don't really get the "it's a joke" explanation for someone saying something dumb or nonsensical. A lot of people seem to do that for Trump as well, for example saying his constant references to Hannibal Lector are a joke. One of the defining characteristics of a joke is that it has to be at least intended to be funny. Unless you are 5 years old and you find non sequiturs funny, I don't really see how a lot of these things were ever intended as jokes. They are just dumb things people have said.
I'm convinced the Hannibal Lecter thing comes from him thinking immigrants seeking asylum had something to do with mental illness asylums. He wasn't trying to be funny, he was trying to be topical.

Right. He was being a moron, as is his wont. My point is that quite a few people said he was joking. Seems to be a common defense people use, even when it makes no sense to do so.

Dude you don't need to comment on everything - there was some meme regarding that and how the math wasn't mathing. Calm down and relax - it's the Holidays!
Kash Patel seems like Trump's second most ridiculous nomination so far (behind Gaetz, of course).
Yep. Awesome pick imo. The FBI is long overdue for a cleanout.
Time to investigate the FBI involvement in Jan 6 as well.
