Happy Thanksgiving all. Again my role in this great tradition is vegetables roasted in the oven. This year I go to them with apples marjoram turmeric and ginger.

Happy Thanksgiving all. Had a few folks over for dinner - mostly vegetables and fruit but wife did a turkey breast for a few of the guests.

i dont know enough bout hollywood rules but being involved in entertainment adjacent i imagine it could have been a situation where crediting him would entail some contractual **** and if he had representation they'd be getting a cut etc etc so did a cameo appearance without it because relationship/friends with folks - lil bit of a billboard intro before he appears as a leading role etc etc
maybe he was around the set and someone asked if he wanted to fill in quick for a speaking role vs getting some unknown as a favor even etc etc.
but 100% surprised its not in the trivia though- THAT I expected someone would've pointed out by now. i dont have an imdb account but if you dont wanna take the credit under your name, i can make a "2plus2LNLHC_ThePen" account and post it. lil digital footprint acknowleding everybody's existence elsewhere on the 'net before it all disappears into a sea of pay for play and advertisements

Not a pow day, but was still able to find some of the goods at Copper today. Absolutely beautiful day
Saw a car parked around the corner this morning. Had Christmas lights scotch-taped all around the passenger side.
I wouldn't say they covered the passenger side, but there were quite a few. Raised some questions:
1) I wonder how they change the DC from the car to AC for the lights (?)
2) I wonder what that does to the car's electrical/charging system
3) I wonder what the scotch tape is going to do to the finish/glass where it's taped on to those areas
4) I wonder if that's street legal
If they drive this at night with those lights on, it would certainly be at least a distraction. Both to themselves and others on the road.

We have one of these in our neighborhood. Looks like the passenger door still opens, though
Just went around the block, got a better look at it (was just before dawn when I went by earlier).
It's teeny-tiny LED lights, so maybe not such a big draw on the electricity. Also windows not covered, just the painted parts of the passenger side.
Did not think to see if they went around the door on that side. I don't think so, though; seemed like the strands were running horizontally.

Was just hanging in the Edmonton Airport. Layover was long enough to consider going off to explore the town, if it weren't so stupid cold. As it is, a Belgian Beer Bar in the airport was a just fine way to pass the time. Delirium Tremens on tap and poutine made with Belgian-style frites? Yes, please!
It's the tome of year when it's getting dark early enough that I'm watching more football. Some ideas:
Chiefs somehow keep winning, but don't look like a great team.
Dom's Bills, OTOH, look quite good.
Broncos showing some life, looks like Nix might be a good pick.
Packers decent, Vikings good, but Lions, WOW!
Unfortunately for mark, Jerry will probably see the injuries (mostly Dak) as an excuse to keep Fat Mike around some more.

There’s calls to bench Cousins and start Penix.
I think Cousins gives us the best chance to win anything this year, but he’s looked bad lately.
Won’t win anything with this bad defense, and historically anemic pass rush, though.
Niners season is over. Was bad enough already, but with McCaffrey PCL injury, that'll likely do it.
Weird part is that the defense has been pretty bad, and they haven't had a lot of injuries. Offense has been mediocre, even with all its injuries, so if defense was dominant like in years past, they'd still be in contention.

I've never been to Edmonton. My stepson moved to Calgary this year for affordability / etc. purposes, but my guess is that the winter will kick his ass. We're planning a road trip to Calgary next year.
Yeah, the Lower Mainland is just one big continuous sprawl. I believe Surrey is scheduled to overtake Vancouver in population in a few years. Weather was actually awesome here on the weekend, nice sunny days at a very reasonable temperature where I could still get out on my bicycle to run errands / have some garage project time.
FYI: The Edmonton hockey team has always been the Oilers. It is their CFL (Canadian Football League) team that was known as the Eskimos forever until a couple of years ago, now Elks. Warren Moon won 4 Grey Cups as an Eskimo before moving on to the NFL back in the day.
