ex-President Trump

I assume it's still acceptable to have a Trump thread in a Politics forum?

So this is an obvious lie - basically aimed at

Seeing how many American are functional illiterate , no wonder trump do ok .
The same people that get scam on the internet and things like that .

Guy who can barely string a coherent sentence together calling others functionally illiterate is quite ironic tbf.

Ah, so you agree he is smart after all. Thanks for clarifying.

Smarter is comparative. I wouldn't have to explain that to you if you were actually smart.

If you want it bluntly……
U aren’t necessary smart because you screw stupid people …..
( I’m a very fast runner , I run faster then all grandmas in my country 0o ! )
Yes some countries hold more « weak minded » people then others .

George w bush was considered a very smart person too right ?
Biden was incredibly smart despite senile and old , he was able to beat a « very smart » person like trump .

Well, he outsmarted the democrats again. If you want to be comparative about it.

at some point one must ask if any idiot can con millions of people to become the president then why doesn't a smarter and more capable conman arrise and do it better?

by chezlaw k

trump aint clever but Van Jones is dead right that we keep calling them stupid and we're the ones who keep ending up looking stupid.

Iyo, does Romney get less votes than Trump v Harris?

Does Harris get more votes against Romney than Trump?

Ethics which obviously trump has none .
And obviously rightly or wrongly , many believes trump way won’t be successful in his second terms .

Ps: many believes his first terms was a success even tho he didn’t do much even with the 2 chambers in his pocket the first 2 years , beside tax cuts and ballooning the deficit and debts .

I have no idea

I am of the opinion that it barely matters who we run against the right unless we're going to offer something serious

If trump was smarter he would have realised he couldn't win

Democrats didn't run a good candidate, and too many of them stayed home - if you want to be logical about it.

Shortly, those people will remember why a dementia patient got 81 million votes in 2020.

Who said "any idiot" can con millions of people? Trump is very good at finding vulnerabilities and using deception and manipulation to capitalize on those vulnerabilities. You conflate that with intelligence.

Sorry dude but your attempts to deny Trump was too smart for your party are getting more pathetic with every post. You are losing the argument badly just like your candidate lost the election.

i would give up if i was you before you make an even bigger fool of yourself.

1 - I belong to no political party
2 - Is it your contention that Democrats voted for Trump?

Brian, do you speak a second language?

Because in my experience, I believe that montrealcop does a pretty good job using his second language.

But you go ahead and cast the stones I guess.....

for many blindingly obvious reasons -- let me know if you need a list

1 - I belong to no political party

Certainly a decent amount of people who voted for Biden in 2020 voted for Trump in 2024, especially among latinos.

Irrelevant. People who can barely construct legible sentences themselves shouldn't be criticizing other people's literacy. That's what I was calling him out for, not for his mangled posts.

I'm making the contention that Trump was too smart for the democrats. That's all.

A contention that you haven't managed to refute despite increasingly desperate attempts to do so.

How many is a decent amount and why do you think they were specifically Democrats?

Trump literally did nothing different than what he did when he lost against Biden, so be a little more specific, sparky.

I said "people who voted for Biden in 2020" not "democrats" for a reason.

Because we know Biden carried Latinos by 28-30 points in 2020 while Harris only got them by 5-7 in 2024.

And turnover was only slightly lower, and third parties got very little in 2024, so it can't just be Biden 2020 voters staying at home, or voting third party.

They had to switch from Biden to Trump and very approximately high single digit of them (among Latinos) did.

Something like 7 to 10 Latinos every 100 who voted for Biden in 2020 voted for Trump in 2024

Well thx for proving my point ….

I always say « functional illiterate » not literate .

And fwiw :

the ability to read and write:
Far more resources are needed to improve adult literacy.
The country has a literacy rate of almost 98%.

knowledge of a particular subject, or a particular type of knowledge:
Computer literacy is becoming as essential as the ability to drive a car.

What can I tell you , the world if far bigger then what you actually « know » .

So yes thx for missing my point (by misquoting) and proving it ( misunderstanding context ) -> yup you are maga alright …

And btw an excellent literate (as you are implying to be ) should have more ability to decipher a lower form of communication , not the opposite ….
That is what being proficient means .

by Luciom k

Right, and the current discourse was about Democrats

Obviously there were nonpartisans who changed from Biden to Trump (2020-2024), just like there were nonpartisans who changed from Trump to Biden (2016-2020).

Once Trump ****s up the country beyond recognition, they'll go from Trump to Democrat again.

2020 vs 2016 almost no one changed to Biden from Trump.

A ton more people voted than before and an ample majority of them voted for Biden instead than Trump.

In fact Trump still got a ton more absolute votes in 2020 than he did in 2016.

Very different dynamic.

What happened to Latinos in 2024 (a dramatic shift to a different party) hasn't happened to a major demographic in decades.

Well, he did Joe Rogan for one. That was an extremely smart move. His use of fringe rather than mainstream media paid off big time. As Van Jones said he completely bypassed the MSM and largely made them irrelevant. There was also less opportunity for democrats to cheat this time as well, so that probably made a difference. And there was covid which emerged under his watch in 2020, so people blamed him for that.

Hope that's specific enough for you, sparky.

Sorry, but I'm not fluent in gibberish.

Maybe get someone to translate your posts into readable English before you post them. That might help.
