You are trying to hold against us the fact that we are successful, trying to attribute it only to US support. I would like to remind you that we did very well even before the US support.
How do you define smart and resourceful? In many contexts, one who is less smart and has less integrity can win by being deceitful and immoral, by acting in ways which threaten the overall stability supporting all. I think anyone with a job understands this, though they may or may not apply the dynamic more broadly to, say. international affairs.
Say some financial institution gambles in ways which produce a windfall for them but threatens the financial system. Say they calculate that they are too big to fail and exploit an implicit need to maintain stability as a type of insurance policy against negative consequences which would make their gamble negative EV? Are they being "smart and resourceful" in their success or are they being exploitative and dangerous wrt to the system? It depends entirely on your perspective, like whether or not you work for the firm.
Likewise with Israel or, say, a cancerous tumor. If you're pro tumor, like you're a cancer cell and you want to live, then the tumor is smart and resourceful. If you're a larger biological system hosting the cancer, the tumor is dangerous. From the world perspective, Israel is a cancer. It is exploiting and undermining world security for its own benefit with zero concern for the world, and that benefit only from the perspective of Zionism which is to say a philosophy of extremist racial supremacy. Hitler looked "smart and resourceful" when he began invading European countries, one country dominating militarily as Germany did early in WWII. You might want to take a look at how that ended.

I've lived in (for a year and again for six months) or travelled around three of the five countries you listed, plus another four in West Africa that you didn't list.

Well. I think we know most of the metrics why one would argue western civilization is preferable. I am interested in knowing what metrics/observances support the argument other places are preferable.
