General TV Discussion and Thread for Shows Without A Thread Thread

OOTV doesnt like family comedies much huh? Raising Hope and The Middle are two of the best(possibly the best outside of NBC)comedies on tv yet no threads.

Just an observation.

Season 1 was great; I haven't watched season 2 yet.

I loved both seasons of Outer Range. I'm super disappointed they didn't renew it.

I enjoyed the 2nd season and wanted more, but after binging the 2nd season I was left wondering what we had actually accomplished which made me less surprised when it wasn't renewed

I've read this quite a bit, but I binged the 8 episodes in about 2 days. Couple slow parts, but it kept my attention

But I could stare at Rebecca Ferguson for hours

Rivals is FUN

It's the FUN Yellowstone stopped being

Too bad she’s only in season 2 for minutes

if you like her, you should watch the white queen, it's a bbc drama about the war of the roses, she plays that central figure it's named after

it's on my all time great list of tv shows

but i'm also a sucker for historical drama with good production value

The Agency is decent. Not great but not terrible. Given the people associated with it I had high hopes that it will likely not live up to.

As I mentioned before, I can't decide if it's biggest crime is that is a note for note remake of the best show on TV over the last 10 years or what.

went to share the white queen trailer and now i see why it wasn't a huge hit

this is an extremely deceptive trailer, like it's some angsty love drama

no it's not, it's about the actual history of war of the roses, cousins and brothers backstabbing and killing each other other in a lengthy civil war where some of the major participants switched sides with regularity

it's amazing, i still think about it often

i'd even argue the main character is the earl of warwick, who is known as Warwick the Kingmaker

well, i have to thank the agency, bc without it i would have never found the bureau, which i binged watched (all 5 seasons) in like 2 weeks. fantastic, even with the subtitles

Hallelujah, a decent episode of Silo

did you have subs for the english part? My prime paramount+ removes the subs when they speak english and the americans or french/americans they use have the worst case of mumbling.

The arabs/russians speaking english... im not even sure they are speaking english.

great episode(except anything to do with walker).

I still prefer the book children though and i am kinda sad they omitted the vault's toilet.

Well, I guess I have to watch this one, IMDB 8.7 and it's the penultimate episode.

That e9 ending was so good

American Primeval on Netflix. 7 episode Western directed by Peter Berg (Friday Night Lights) and written/created by the guy who wrote the Revenant. Stars Taylor Kitsch (Riggins from Friday Night Lights) and Betty Gilpin from GLOW. It’s a journey tale through mid 19th century Utah - where it’s Mormons vs US Army vs Native tribes. A bunch of recognizable faces; good action and plot. I like Westerns and liked this. Not as good as Godless but still good.

Audiences seem to like this a whole lot better than the critics.

The last two episodes of The Agency have been great. I may have to switch to The Bureau after this season and see what happens. Not sure I want to wait.

Finished Day of the Jackal and while it was predictable, it was well done. The final episode also got me.

Cunk On Life - new Philomena Cunk mockumentary doing awesomely ill-informed interviews.

Made a list of older shows that I didn't get to catch in their entirety and have been binge-watching as time allows.

Currently watching the original Night Court. Entertaining, and I don't remember much of it from the original run. I was only 6 when it first premiered, and was probably 10 or 11 when I first saw it. I mostly remember Harry the Hack from Cheers being the judge.
