To reiterate some of the points:

2. Racist posts and other bigoted statements that target a particular group or individuals of such groups with derogatory comments are not allowed. This should not need further explanation.
3. Graphic Images need to be in spoilers with a trigger warning.
4. Wishing Harm on other posters will result in an immediate timeout.
5. Genocidal statements such as "Kill 'em all" etc, are no longer permissible in the thread.
If anyone has any questions about the above, please PM me. I don't want a discussion about the rules to derail the content of this thread. If anything needs clarifying, I will do that in this thread.

No matter how many times you spew lies about Israel…it’s still just that.
This is a moment of innocent civilian hostages being swapped for bloodthirsty murderers, rapists and terrorists. I’m good with the side I’m on.
What are you smoking? They didn't carpet bomb. No one except you has even accused them of that.
We know what happened. Israel reported on it while they were doing it. It isn't some mystery.
They evacuated entire portions of Gaza and then went building to building demolishing everything that was part of the terror infrastructure, which was pretty much every building. And if the UN lets Hamas come back and rebuild all the terror tunnels and weapons caches Israel with probably eventually go back and do it again.

Third world nations generally suck because because such a large % of people (especially leaders) act like this, and western liberals are agnostic, if not encouraging. Tribal, zero sum, unempathic loserville held to low standards.
I know you are upset, but just take solace you live in a society where people (especially the leadership class) behave better and are held to higher standards; which is a big reason your society doesn't suck like Gaza does.

You link doesn't even say Israel carpet bombed Gaza. That is an interview Biden gave recently about a conversation that happened over 1 year ago before Israel had done much of anything in response to 10/7.
I wouldn't be surprised if Biden completely misremembered whatever conversation he had, or just made it all up. But even giving him a giant benefit of the doubt he remembered the conversation correctly, it still doesn't state that Israel carpet bombed Gaza, just that Netanyahu challenged him when he said Israel cant do so.

brother, I just dont think giving a gift bag is as sinister as you do in this situation. I get where you are coming from but I just look at it differently. I could be wrong and maybe the hostages (yes I do think these women in particular were actual hostages from what I have read) will eventually give their thoughts.

It is a little funny to see Hamas wearing pristine uniforms for their pro-terror propaganda photo-op at the hostage exchange.
I guess they only break them out for special occasions.
The amusing thing is that if our leaders or military (or that of Israel) acted the way Hamas does now, every liberal in this thread would be completely mortified and aghast and outraged.
Again, be grateful you live in a civilized society that is held to higher standards of behavior. and be sad that places like Gaza are trapped in a cycle of destructive, self limiting low standards and low expectation.

What did happen was tribal, zero-sum societies with corrupt leaders made deals with colonial powers that benefitted them personally, but did mostly nothing for the people. And this still mostly explains what is going on, except the corrupt leaders are making worse deals with China and Russia than they ever did with France and the US.
