Donald J. Trump (For everyone else except Victor)

I assume it's still acceptable to have a Trump thread in a Politics forum?

So this is an obvious lie - basically aimed at

It's not your fault they let Trumpers in the non-Trumper thread anyone could have foreseen this.

I saw some chatter about that in the moderation thread. I mostly view subscribed threads, so I don't see new threads very often and am probably just seeing the older threads.

The mods ****ing with threads is also terrible.

Their mere existence pisses me off.

He just blamed the plane crash on DEI.

I’m hearing it was a transgender plane on its way to get gay married.

The crash was the US Military's fault, right?

Ban it.

Hatch Act

Another item to add to the things the Colonel doesn't know anything about. Of course he'll come back with some tortured reasoning that it would be covered, but he'll be wrong and not realize that the actions aren't even covered aren't covered under Hatch for most government employees.

Jesus Christ, Trump is a ****ing **** wow

are you just figuring that out?

He said we need to hire competent people over hiring someone only based on them being black, gay, or transexual, which is what the prior administration was doing (not only with the FAA/ATC but with every gov't agency).

The controller involved in the crash was incompetent (this is coming from an industry professional). Idk what his race or sexual preferences are, but his low key laid back attitude on the microphone while trying to avoid a potential collision wasn't nearly efficient enough, nor did he follow proper protocol.

Dunno man but your government official site says this, in the "prohibited activities"

/
https://osc.gov/Services/Pages/HatchAct-...

Less restricted federal employees may not:

Use their official authority or influence to interfere with or affect the result of an election, by for example:

Using their official titles or positions while engaged in political activity

Inviting subordinate employees to political events or otherwise suggesting to subordinates that they attend political events or undertake any partisan political activity

Solicit, accept or receive a donation or contribution for a partisan political party, candidate for partisan political office, or partisan political group by for example:

Hosting a political fundraiser

Collecting contributions or selling tickets to political fundraising functions*

Be candidates for partisan political office

Knowingly solicit or discourage the participation in any political activity of anyone who has business pending before their employing office

Engage in political activity – i.e., activity directed at the success or failure of a political party, candidate for partisan political office, or partisan political group – while the employee is on duty, in any federal room or building, while wearing a uniform or official insignia, or using any federally owned or leased vehicle. For example, while at work employees may not:

Distribute campaign materials or items

Display campaign materials or items

Perform campaign related chores

Wear or display partisan political buttons, t-shirts, signs, or other items

Make political contributions to a partisan political party, candidate for partisan political office, or partisan political group

Post a comment to a blog or a social media site that advocates for or against a partisan political party, candidate for partisan political office, or partisan political group

Use any email account or social media to distribute, send, or forward content that advocates for or against a partisan political party, candidate for partisan political office, or partisan political group

Seems to me that's kinda premature to blame the crash on DEI

You just did this goalpost shift of introducing the Reddit posts into a discussion that had nothing about that because you're a shifty mother****er, but...

"use their official authority"

You are just presuming everything and arguing things until the point where "it is possible for a federal employee to commit a felony" means, in your pea brain, that you were right. You created an imaginary story where your fellow fascist said something about posting on reddit all day, and now you're inventing that the imaginary perpetrators are also using their official authority in those posts. Disgusting display of intellectual dishonesty.

Luciom - I was going to respond but microbet's first line sums it up. Take the L on this one big-boy.

Especially since air traffic control asked the helicopter (on a training flight) if they saw the plane, the helicopter pilot said they did and then they still crashed into the plane.

There is no need for them to be acting on official authority in order to violate the act. Check the list, it's made of ORs.

I am referring to the organizing of the "resistance" on reddit because that's what happening right now, with posts in working hours

Some examples

And so on.

I understand you are upset about life right now, but i am not the person causing you any trouble. I didn't even vote in the USA.

I accept the L for the felony designation because apparently it doesn't apply, i don't understand though why you think posting politically on reddit during working hours isn't a violation of the Hatch act given the source i provided

Luciom,

How did AOC describe a committing a felony? You invented the reddit thing. You may as well have submitted that by "resist" she meant drop atomic bombs and release nerve gas. Very dishonest. "Do stuff" could have been the entirety of her post and you could be saying she told people to do felonies.

Trump just doesn't have a single ounce of humanity does he? Just a completely horrible person.

Can't wait to be called a libtard etc by all the cult members when i'm centre-right

Well i took the "resist" and i provided examples of illegal forms of resistance already happening.

But i agree i was wrong in thinking those actions were a felony, they are "just" a very significant civil violation.

Nice fake news

A provision about insulin in the Inflation Reduction Act is conflated with a 2022 executive order by former President Joe Biden on lowering prescription drug costs in posts online that suggest President Donald Trump has canceled the $35 insulin co-pay cap for certain Medicare programs.
Biden’s executive action in October 2022 did not establish the $35 insulin cap, which was put in place by the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022, two months earlier. The IRA can only be repealed, opens new tab through new legislation and not by an executive order.

Trump on Jan. 20 rescinded, nearly 80 executive actions of Biden, including Executive Order 14087, which directed the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to consider “new health care payment and delivery models that would lower drug costs” for Medicare and Medicaid beneficiaries.
posts said: “WHY would Trump remove the $35 insulin cap when millions of people need it? Just because he has a need to overturn all things Biden? Because he and his millionaire, billionaire partners with investments in big pharma will make more money with that cap and other cost savings removed? Welcome to Trump's America. Four years of this coming your way.”

I didn't "make up some crap", the resistance being illegally ongoing in working hours on reddit by federal employees has been everywhere on my twitter feed, and AOC is one of the voices pushing for that to happen (with the reported tweet and others).

I am not sure what you think she means with "resist all demands"

My god it's disgusting watching trump just blatantly lie at the press conference about the plane crash. Reprehensible.

Trump tried to rescind the $35 cap on insulin, but apparently can't isn't the burn you think it is.
