Donald J. Trump (For everyone else except Victor)
I assume it's still acceptable to have a Trump thread in a Politics forum?
So this is an obvious lie - basically aimed at
Well no. The claim is either true or it isn't. A survet would not change that from false to true. I'd bet everything I have that it is true because they had to bus me to the local community college after 9th grade for math and physics and I never did anything beyond what they teach the 100s of students at the Clinton School or Bronx Science. Stuff that is completely normal and you would assume any HS should be able to handle is hard in more rural areas.
I don't want to close the border. I want to exclusively let in people who are measurably a lot better than the american median.
And, to kick out at any time anyone who fails (for generations) after that. Ie to keep an option to kick out failures even if they passed the first filter.
You aren't getting any talent by letting random unfiltered haitians in, you are creating bigger problems.
I would give automatic green cards to anyone who can be hired at 1.5x median income. Automatic greencard to any p
Great , so instead helping the middle class you rather send them Into poverty …
Don’t provide them better affordable education for example , just crush them by immigration is much better shrug .

dude, this is the most absurd thing you've ever written, you're cherry picking the most prestigious schools in america that are publicly funded but not even open to the public as you need to pass a rigorous admissions process in order to be accepted
to pass this off as representative of public school, let alone another public school in manhattan is grossly misleading
you're not an idiot so this wasn't an accident or misunderstanding, you just think everyone else here is
shame on you for these lies

so not true. cool.
The boos are starting for the US national anthem at hockey games across Canada. Happened at the Senators game tonight in Ottawa. The Flames subreddit was talking about whether they were going to boo tonight at the game (still about an hour away). I'll be curious to see if that happens or not.
furthermore, the overwhelming majority of my classmates at that boarding school were manhattanites who's parents didn't want their kids going to the local public school
the wealthy who live year round in the hamptons or greenwhich connecticut were far more likely to send their kids to the local public school than the wealthy who lived in the cities
and for those who can afford it, they aren't sending their kids to clinton or bronx but rather brearley or trinity etc

huge news
No teacher could handle even the 2nd half of high school calculus. And like I said I was lucky to even get the first half compared to pure rural areas…. We had a community college not that far away. But there’s no way a teacher at my school could score high enough get into IIT. Not even a fair fight.

i think the big reveal here is going to be that ed grew up in amish country or something
this is all absurd
you're genuinely claiming that most rural schools in america can't even get a teacher who knows calculus?
did sklansky hack your account in the midst of a bender and thought he'd troll us all?
So I am actually in one of “those” red states these days, and yeah, just wanna +1 that I think you’d be extremely lucky to find a competent calculus teacher here in any rural area. Hell, it’d be hit or miss in our largest cities.
When I moved schools from a suburban blue state to a rural red state as a child, I had to skip two grades. I essentially tested out of middle school.
i mean you're not wrong, most of the stuff you were responding to was objectively stupid
i think the main disconnect here is that most trump supporters think all politicians are disgusting humans and view him as a breath of fresh air in that he doesn't try to hide it
it's one of the few things i agree with them on
if biden were such a good person, why'd he also issue all those gross and disgusting pardons - ie we can all acknowledge trump is a bastard who'll do that but then you get half the popula
Because they aren’t in the “Bernie bros” camp ?
They aren’t communist, left or socialist at all despite the calls from the Republicans on the economy I suppose ?
They were just leaning more left then right but still in the right camp ?
False narrative in the U.S. seem the norm for a very long time now .

Yeah, I posted this in another thread, that 2/3 of Oklahoma high schools don't even offer
. You're very lucky to have a good calculus teacher in rural areas.Yeah, I posted this in another thread, that 2/3 of Oklahoma high schools don't even offer
. You're very lucky to have a good calculus teacher in rural areas.this is not unique to oklahoma
per the data in your own article we know that nationally only 50% of schools even offer it
only 41% of blue state california schools have calculus
red state indiana which is all farm country offers the 4rd most at 74% which is tied with Mass and only behind New Hampshire and Maine which are both very low population and predominantly rural trump country
these states are so rural they have sections that don't even have any voting data

red state nebraska, which is about as rural and red as america gets is among the top as well at 61%, same with north carolina at 59% and kansas at 56%
your example of new york is middle of the pack at 52%, far below west ffing virgina at 59%
you are making a fool of yourself here and letting personal politics distort your reality
you want this to be a red state vs blue state thing but it's not, it's an american problem shared across the board, if we excised new england the rate of calculus would severely drop nationally
and don't forget, california is among the worst in the country at offering advanced math and science classes
“Why do some British people not like Donald Trump?” Nate White, an articulate and witty writer from England wrote the following response:
A few things spring to mind. Trump lacks certain qualities which the British traditionally esteem. For instance, he has no class, no charm, no coolness, no credibility, no compassion, no wit, no warmth, no wisdom, no subtlety, no sensitivity, no self-awareness, no humility, no honour and no grace – all qualities, funnily enough, with which his predecessor Mr. Obama was generously blessed. So for us, the stark contrast does rather throw Trump’s limitations into embarrassingly sharp relief.
Plus, we like a laugh. And while Trump may be laughable, he has never once said anything wry, witty or even faintly amusing – not once, ever. I don’t say that rhetorically, I mean it quite literally: not once, not ever. And that fact is particularly disturbing to the British sensibility – for us, to lack humour is almost inhuman. But with Trump, it’s a fact. He doesn’t even seem to understand what a joke is – his idea of a joke is a crass comment, an illiterate insult, a casual act of cruelty.
Trump is a troll. And like all trolls, he is never funny and he never laughs; he only crows or jeers. And scarily, he doesn’t just talk in crude, witless insults – he actually thinks in them. His mind is a simple bot-like algorithm of petty prejudices and knee-jerk nastiness.
There is never any under-layer of irony, complexity, nuance or depth. It’s all surface. Some Americans might see this as refreshingly upfront. Well, we don’t. We see it as having no inner world, no soul. And in Britain we traditionally side with David, not Goliath. All our heroes are plucky underdogs: Robin Hood, Dick Whittington, Oliver Twist. Trump is neither plucky, nor an underdog. He is the exact opposite of that. He’s not even a spoiled rich-boy, or a greedy fat-cat. He’s more a fat white slug. A Jabba the Hutt of privilege.
And worse, he is that most unforgivable of all things to the British: a bully. That is, except when he is among bullies; then he suddenly transforms into a snivelling sidekick instead. There are unspoken rules to this stuff – the Queensberry rules of basic decency – and he breaks them all. He punches downwards – which a gentleman should, would, could never do – and every blow he aims is below the belt. He particularly likes to kick the vulnerable or voiceless – and he kicks them when they are down.
So the fact that a significant minority – perhaps a third – of Americans look at what he does, listen to what he says, and then think ‘Yeah, he seems like my kind of guy’ is a matter of some confusion and no little distress to British people, given that:
• Americans are supposed to be nicer than us, and mostly are.
• You don’t need a particularly keen eye for detail to spot a few flaws in the man.
This last point is what especially confuses and dismays British people, and many other people too; his faults seem pretty bloody hard to miss. After all, it’s impossible to read a single tweet, or hear him speak a sentence or two, without staring deep into the abyss. He turns being artless into an art form; he is a Picasso of pettiness; a Shakespeare of ****. His faults are fractal: even his flaws have flaws, and so on ad infinitum. God knows there have always been stupid people in the world, and plenty of nasty people too. But rarely has stupidity been so nasty, or nastiness so stupid. He makes Nixon look trustworthy and George W look smart. In fact, if Frankenstein decided to make a monster assembled entirely from human flaws – he would make a Trump.
And a remorseful Doctor Frankenstein would clutch out big clumpfuls of hair and scream in anguish: ‘My God… what… have… I… created?' If being a twat was a TV show, Trump would be the boxed set.
Even people who are skeptical of capitalism think across the board tariffs on major trading partners and close allies when you have near full employment and are concerned about high inflation is just dumb.
Every other country will be thinking about how they can look more towards China.
So, probably things get worse and worse and military tensions with China increase.
What a horrible President.
And I think honoring the flag is pretty pointless, except when the president is supposed to be doing it
Didn't you guys lose your ****ing minds over people "disrespecting the flag" by engaging in peaceful protest during an "honor the flag" moment (kneeling during the national anthem).
I mean, I'm not surprised Trumptards have done a total 180 and now it's "who cares about the flag". Same exact **** happened with the supposed "back the blue" "thin blue line" "law and order" sniveling. It is abundantly clear by their actions that Trump supporters believe that the law and police are only for putting down the opposition, not upholding some supposedly unbiased justice system.
Don't know about that, but American consumers will obviously foot the bill, given that the US imports 60% of its oil from Canada and Canada supplies power to, I read somewhere, 30 states.
Something something TDS

coordi definitely not a trumper
fair enough, but the point stands that trumpies always excuse any behavior by trump that under any other circumstances they would vehemently claim to be against. they have always been hypocrites but the extent to which conservatives have subscribed to "rules for thee and not for me" is disgusting and we should never let them forget it.
