2025 WSOP!!
I know itβs early and normally Iβm not excited about WSOP this soon after but dang it, Iβm itching to go back already!
I
For those debating between Paris and Horseshoe, if you are playing a tourney be very cautious about heading to your room at horseshoe during a break. I know the elevators have broken leaving players stuck on there for some time, at one point last year some players had their chips pulled from the table after a while. I believe it happened a few years ago as well.
Someone had to get screwed. It's the seniors since they place first and then have to pay for another hotel day waiting for day 2. I would have thought they'd make it the other way around.
Think about it - the old farts start their day one at 10:00 AM the pups start at 4:00PM I sure as hell want to finish my Day 1 before MIDNIGHT instead of 4 am in the morning and then get up to play at 2:00 the next day.
They did we "mature" players a favor. π

Don't the under 50s who bag have to do the same? And I gotta say, seems the clear choice to have the olds start at 10a and the youngs bag late and have to restart early, rather than the other way.
I've stayed at both. If the money doesn't matter to you, I think Paris is the objectively nicer hotel.
Is it a drastic difference? No.
Is the convenience going to vary wildly from one to the other? No. They are both ground zero for the WSOP.
If you're going to stay at a Caesars property, I'd stay at Planet Hollywood. Easy walk. Better Casino, better food options, attached to a mall, fewer WSOP attendees. No brainer to me.

Iβve never had that happen but it wouldnβt surprise me that it has. Probably happens in a lot more Vegas hotels than people realize. Those elevators get a lot of constant use.
Iβve stayed at both Paris and HS and prefer HS. I find it a little closer proximity to the games (unless seated at Paris), better food options, and I hate saying it but it seems less pretentious.
When Iβm getting in poker business mode and getting my mind ready to play, walking by scantily clad drunk 21 year olds outside of the Vanderpump restaurant thing, it just takes me out of the zone.
I want the dirty grit of unwashed heavyset people with backpacks, headphones, and a dream. THATβS what gets me amped to play!
I've been sweating my drop down to Platinum from Diamond regarding valet parking even as a guest. Just found on site that its still free for Platinum " Valet Parking is complimentary for Caesars Rewards Platinum, Diamond, and Seven Stars Members."
At least at the Horseshoe, Paris and The Cromwell. Can anyone confirm this with real world first hand knowledge https://www.caesars.com/parking

I was Diamond last year and can confirm I had free valet parking at Paris.
GLGLGL
As did I (Diamond) last year and yes it was free (and convenient ) but the website also says PLATINUM has free valet and candidly that happily surprised me. Since I am just Platinum this year that was what I was hoping to confirm. But thank you for the input.

I've always gotten free parking at Harrah's in AC with my Caesars rewards card, even before I was Diamond. But don't have any experience parking at any of their properties in Vegas, so can't speak directly to Horse Shoe, Paris or Cromwell. Perhaps a call to the their rewards dept

Which HS food options are your favorite? I usually end up with gift shop gas station sandwiches.
Johnny Rockets closes early, right? Like 1 am?
I forgot about Sbarro, but I think they close around 1 or 2 am too. Their pizza is very meh, but I like their spaghetti and meatballs.
If you want pizza, there is a Giordano's Pizza take out window right in front of the Horseshoe in that shopping/restaurant area. It's good and quick. Also, there is Istanbul Mediterranean and Dave's Hot Chicken in that same area that will get you in and out pretty quickly. I think they are all open pretty late.

Actually, the Paris pizza place (I forgot the name but itβs next to the crepe place) has pretty decent pizza. Pricey, of course, but not terrible.
Johnny Rockets or Nathans for breakfast. Subway sub tucked in my 'fridge for dinner break.
HS options are pretty bad. There used to be an asian/noodle place that you could order to-go from your phone, that worked great in 2023, but it closed just before last year's WSOP and I don't think there's anything that's taken over that spot yet.
If I want something a little better than fast food I usually sit at the bar at Cafe Americano at Paris. I really enjoy their honey glazed salmon bowl and poke bowl, and they've got a good selection of burgers, tacos, sandwiches and pizzas for under $30. I've found service at the bar is usually pretty quick.
There's a new food court opening at the Miracle Mile shops that looks like it will have some interesting options, I'll probably check that out this Summer to see if there are some better fast-food options.

I'm not a gourmand. I eat to live, I don't live to eat. My appreciation for a tuna sub goes back to my college days, decades ago. I just don't associate fine dining with poker. to each his own.
Cafe Americano has a decent breakfast but about $30. Fairly normal by strip standards. Blueberry hill for breakfast is great but its 2 miles away straight down East Flamingo. I always eat at Paris Mon Ami Gabi at least once per trip if I bust early. Dollar per dollar for a Quality meal its the best option I've tried at the Horseshoe or Paris ,sets you back $75 -$100 tops. Jack Binion's is a fine Steak House but plan on spending at least $150. I only ate there when I was blowing my $100 Diamond Dinner comp. Best Burgers to me at least is the Wahlburger's in the Grand Bazaar just outside of the Horseshoe personally I think they are much better than Bobby burgers in the Paris walkway.
You can go the back way out of the Horseshoe over to the Linq. I've done that the last two years and had plenty of time to eat at In N Out or Gordan Ramsey's Fish place and get back. There are also plenty of options at Planet Hollywood. I ate at PF Changs and still had time to kill. There is a Chick-Fil-A out front and plenty of other options.
+1 to Mon Ami Gabi. I think it is one of the best values on the strip.
Agree that the burgers at Bobby burgers in the Paris walkway are just meh. Definitely better at Wahlburgers.
For those that don't mind the walk, a great place to eat on dinner breaks is Ellis Island. Food is great and prices are every reasonable. Ellis Island BarBQ in the back right corner when you enter has great ribs, and the food comes quickly. The Front Yard cafe on the left when you enter has great burgers and chicken sandwiches. And the desserts are awesome too π
It's less than a half mile walk from the Horseshoe. Go out the HS food court door, make a right and walk down to Koval Lane and make another right. Ellis Island will be on the left side of the road. I've been able to walk down there and back, and eat within 30-40 minutes each time. But I'm a fast eater and fast walker, even though I'm old enough to play in the Super Seniors event π
Last year my go-to was Dirt Dog's 3/$12 carnitas tacos with pineapple salsa. It's in the same plaza as Giordianos, the chicken place, etc., but never as busy. It's not a lot of food, but I never want to eat a huge meal on dinner break, so it's kind of perfect.
All structure sheets are now available. Had to look at the one for the Main Event.
