Edit: RULES FOR THIS THREAD
Posting guidelines for Politics and Soci...
These are our baselines. We're not reinventing the wheel here. If you aren't sure if something is acceptable to post, its better to ask first. If you think someone is posting something that violates the above guidelines, please report it or PM me rather than responding in kind.
To reiterate some of the points:
1. No personal attacks. This is a broad instruction, but, in general, we want to focus on attacking an argument rather than the poster making it. It is fine to say a post is antisemitic; it is not okay to call someone an antisemite over and over. If you believe someone is making antisemitic posts, report them or PM me. The same goes for calling people "baby killers" and "genocide lovers". You are allowed to argue that an action supports genocide or that the consequences of certain policies results in the death of children, but we are no longer going to be speaking to one another's intentions. It is not productive to the conversation and doesn't further any debate.
2. Racist posts and other bigoted statements that target a particular group or individuals of such groups with derogatory comments are not allowed. This should not need further explanation.
3. Graphic Images need to be in spoilers with a trigger warning.
4. Wishing Harm on other posters will result in an immediate timeout.
5. Genocidal statements such as "Kill 'em all" etc, are no longer permissible in the thread.
If anyone has any questions about the above, please PM me. I don't want a discussion about the rules to derail the content of this thread. If anything needs clarifying, I will do that in this thread.
Please be aware this thread is strictly moderated
wtf what? we didn't have muslims in Italy, France, Spain, Germany 100 years ago.
Spain in particular fought a millenarian war to send them away. Italy fought an existential war that culminated in Lepanto with the help of other european powers to fight against our existential muslim enemy.
Vienna was under siege by muslims a tad later and again all of europe united to fight the existential enemy of europe.
Islam has been our explicit, complete enemy in wars of annihilation of many centuries.
You know it’s not true that there were no Muslims in Europe until recently because youve written about it before.
I don’t know why you lie so much and so unconvincingly. I guess it’s a logical consequence of the things you need to invent without which your fascist ideology quickly falls apart under the weight of its own bullshit.
The F-16's that flew over the Nasralla funeral were the same ones that took him out.
Tell me that's not gangster!
Through immigration and demographic change, Lebanon became a Muslim majority nation and that majority embraced foreign funded radical Islamic non state militias that took power and aligned with the PLO and Iran and became belligerent towards Israel. And the nation turned to ****.
Lebanon is very much a cautionary tale of what happens when you let foreign controlled and funded radical Islam take control of a nation. Which is what the Arab Gulf countries are so aggressive in stamping out radical Islam, because they know how this ends if they dont.
Of course from your perspective you might argue it is Israel's fault for provoking Lebanese to turn to radical Islam. However, unlike most liberals I think "brown people" (at the state and personal level) should be treated as individuals with agency, and not have Jews blamed for all their bad decisions.
So I never really got an answer.
Do all the so called anti-colonialists approve of Kurds and Druze taking control and taking autonomy in the regions of Syria that are their ancestral homeland, and throwing out the Arab Muslim colonialists? Even if it means allying with Israel to do so?
Who's suggested throwing people out of the place where they're living (apart from the pro-Zionists)?
lol at the Druze taking autonomous control of the south Syria while the Israelis build military bases all over

Thank you for answering honestly. Like I said, this is you giving the game away. You are not anti-colonialist. You dont believe as a first principle people should have self determination. You are perfectly fine with colonialism and ethnic cleansing as long as it is nations like Turkey, Iran and Russia doing it.
You are just anti-semitic and more generally anti-Western civilization.
no, you are just making up rediculous scenarios that have no semblance of reality.

ofc I am anti-West. I dont like mass murder, torture, and theft.

lol, this is just fantasy nonsense to anyone who knows anything about Lebanon. More of Kelhus' deranged racist lies.

If you'd like to see the track record on mass murder and torture for the middle east, Africa, Asia, etc, we can make an excellent thread on that. It's going to be ghoulish af though.

There are Arabs in coalition with the Kurds in Rojava. I'm not saying zero Arabs were thrown anywhere, but by and large they weren't.

Dude, you changed the subject and then invented my positions. It's impossible to talk on this forum, no one is honest.
oh hey Blue, while you are here, can I get a translate on this one?
Lololol ofer levi.
A drug addict wife beater tax evader with a crowd of 50 people on a good day .
You really showed us what is what
Just a reminder that we can all be passionate without endless evoking of charged imagery or insults
I didnt make any claim against you. I am not sure what coordi is talking about and if its directed at me then he is misinterpreting my post.
I was just looking for confirmation on the translate and some insight into who this guy is. he seems pretty popular really
regardless of his popularity, it seems weird to go on national media and brag about war crimes and try to incite genocide. doesnt sound like he got any pushback for these remarks but maybe Blue can inform us otherwise.

No. That is my position. I am actually not sure what point you were making invoking Lebanon.
I am also eagerly awaiting Teolly’s position since he is so critical of mine, which I am going to predict involves lots of blaming Israel and complete lack of agency and accountability for dysfunctional (and often extremely murderous) choices made by different factions of Lebanese people the last few decades.

It's a lot of work to have to quote you to show you what you said so that even a 3 post exchange can be followed.
"Of course from your perspective" is where you invented my position.
And I was making a point about whether or not the West would rally around Christians or abandon them, which should have been clear because I was directly responding to a post you made about that.

My criticism is that you've invented a pure Candyland fictional narrative. Like, literally nothing you've said about that country bears the slightest resemblance to reality.
