You would do the same thing if you won the war against Israel.

Syria was not at war with Israel. in fact, their Western backed mercenary usurpers never fired a bullet or raised a weapon at the Israelis and only asserted they had no issue with them.

and Lebanon was in a ceasefire but we all know what those words mean by now.

regardless, there is a big difference appropriating funds from an illegitimate government versus just taking all the valuables from every house you can find.

So how does this hurt Hamas?

Syria was not at war with Israel.

Actually, Syria and Israel have never made peace since Syria's first invasion in 1948. They are technically very much at war.

Anyways, seems Israeli right wing twitter mostly made this up and the whole thing is a nothing burger. There was some local squabble Israel wasn't involved in at all, and for whatever reason Netanyahu made some nonsense comment about the IDF getting involved. And that got Israeli right wing twitter all fired up over nothing (at least nothing Israel is involved in).

.

1. The rebels fired a few times into Golan Heights, but our reaction detoured them from continuing. I was on reserve duty when mortar shells fell a few kilometers from us.

2. Lebanon was in a ceasefire on October 7th, but we all know what those words mean by now.

Yay, the documentary "No Other Land" won the Oscar for best documentary. Wonder if it will get a US distributor now or keep being suppressed.

It was a cute speech. It played well with the liberal audience. It would be neat if the Gazans didn't live under terrorist law. Unfortunately, what we have here are virtue signalers who don't understand the hate of the Gazan people. The Gazans only know violence. Terrorism is their industry. It's their lives. They are taught from a young age to wish for the death of Israel. We see it in their words and we see it in their actions. We saw it here in the Americas on college campuses. We've seen it when "Palestinians" were living in other countries. The Israelis don't want them as neighbors anymore. they simply can never be trusted.

I think this documentary will continue to be suppressed. Calling out the administration was not a good idea. In fact, this probably will get more Gazans killed.

We continue to see the results of Oct 7th.

These children would be healthy and happy if not for that horrific terror attack.

A question for the anti Israel crowd. Do you wish we could go back in time and not attack on Oct 7th?

I wish we could go back in time and not create Israel.

Can’t believe we forgot what a wonderful place full of health and happiness Gaza was under the Israeli military siege and blockade pre 10/7.

It's a shame we can't go back and not have all the Jihads and intifadas. Also, go back before all the "From the river to the sea" talk.

I'm sure you do.

The real shame is that you are that ignorant and uninformed to realize that “river to the sea talk” originated in early Zionist circles wishing to create a Greater Israel at the expense of Arabs which as a result created the Jihad & Intifadas.

But I get it, it’s so much easier to just blame others for all the problems you created.

It doesn't matter who originated the saying. What matters is it's the Gazans who are chanting it now. Current Israelis can't be held responsible for what happened 80 plus years ago. They have to make decisions based on current conditions. Hamas wants to make a greater "Palestine" at the expense of the Jews.

^^^

It is a contemporary slogan for both groups. Israeli Twitter is full of memes claiming the land from the river to the sea.

Only one group is successfully achieving it.

Well. It was certainly better before 10/7 than after. And it was certainly better before the 2nd infinitada than after. And it was certainly better before Hamas took control than after.

The overall trend is down, but it is cycles where things get better and then poor decisions on the Palestinian side cause everything to fall apart.

The political culture of foreign funded and aligned militias constantly starting wars even when things are getting better (and the rest of the world being mostly agnostic towards this) has been a giant negative for everyone.

We can all see that Israel acts as a police state, and it is fine to say this is bad. But if every time Israel loosens control it gets predictably attacked by rockets and suicide bombers, (and most recently pogroms) then that isn’t a very good incentive structure that will result in things getting better. I hope we can all agree.

I think it's deeply unfair to say that Israel acts as a police state.

that expression is used when you treat your citizens horribly.

treating aliens horribly is never even comparable to treating your own citizens horribly.

Israel does treat alien inimical group members very harshly, and some people might consider that bad, but it's never even vaguely as bad as treating your own citizens as the enemy.

The point is, you want better behavior, provide better incentive structures. Telling someone they should do x, y, and z and have to face rocket attacks and suicide bombings for their troubles isnt a great selling point.

Everything I don't like is Hamas.

This engine is Hamas.

Tell me you walk around with blinkers on without telling me you walk around with blinkers on.

Did you even bother to read my post?

You can’t continually encroach on other peoples land, kick them out of and demolish their homes and segregate them to second class citizens and then turn around and play the victim.

The very fact that you are trying to equate any of the issues or whatever I said to something that happened 80 years shows just how blinded you really are.

Ofcourse current day anyone should not be held to account for an event that happened decades before any of them were born.

But what about the events that are happening now?

If current day Israeli’s are responsible for making decisions based on current conditions should they then be held to account for allowing things like the law of return to stand? For allowing the IDF to stand by and protect settlers while they are abusing a Palestinian family and physically removing them from their house? For allowing their government to perpetrate war crimes like the murder of 100k Gazans and ethnic cleansing of 40k in West Bank?

I think they absolutely should.

Congrats buddy! You’re on the right track!

A good start would be to discontinue the law of return, to disband all settlements inside OPT, to take down the wall of apartheid, remove laws that prevent Palestinian freedom of movement, remove the military checkpoints and ofcourse to dismantle the right wing government.

Don’t want a bunch of rockets fired at you? Have you considered not abusing maiming and murdering Palestinians by the hundreds and thousands every ****ing year?

LOL. Your not on the right track at all. Israel is not unilaterally moving towards peace (nor should they), where they have gotten nothing but violence and bad faith from the other side. That isn't how the world works.

I would understand why you want Israel to do this, because your preference is Israel being destroyed, so you view this working towards that end. But given Israelis dont want Israel to be destroyed, they aren't going to unilaterally lay down their arms. Especially after 10/7, when Hamas gloated how they tricked Israel into letting their guard down by pretending they were interested in peace.

Why do you think these restrictions were enacted in the first place? The wall pretty much stopped the bus bombings and other terror attacks. Removing a half million heavily armed nutty settlers isn't gonna happen. The law of return isn't going to end.

You are severely detached from reality just like the "Palestinians" are. This nutty dream of walking around Israel freely and having your own state ended on Oct 7th. As long as this dream remains alive the terror attacks will continue and the restrictions will get tighter. It's time to accept reality and for lack of a better term bend the knee to Israel. The "Palestinians" have revealed who they are and what their intentions are. There is no way an Israeli will ever trust living next to a "Palestinian" again.
