New fast food discussion/review thread
OK OOT, it's been a while since we had a devoted fast food thread around here and I think it's time we had a new one.

^ Damn it...
I just poured a whole can of Angus no bean Chili over a bowl full of White Japanese Rice.
Pretty pathetic whopper today. Definitely not grilled.
Definitely is grilled. Grill marks are painted on.
That's racist...
I have a GREAT Viennese Cutlet franchise near me... the place is always super clean and the dogs are not prepared until you order them.
and extremely well run place that is NEVER crowded.

This was actually pretty close to as spicy as the Korean ramen is which was very surprising for kfc. I was happy to have some mashed potatoes and gravy to wash it down with.
7/10 if it doesn't give me the shits tomorrow.

Also made up for my shitty bkk airport burger with a pretty solid street food burger that's underneath a weed shop. 9/10.

This is not fast food but thought maybe it would be interesting. Bee larva. 3/10. Texture not for me although the flavor was ok.
Does this mean extra pickle, mustard and ketchup? Those things come on the McDouble already, right?
Are you for serious?

This means you had a McDouble and small fries for a meal? That is a very modest meal by American standards, good for you.
As someone who has been eating McDoubles for almost 30 years, once you pass forty something or so your appetite goes down by a decent percentage. You have to save room in your tummy for dinner!
In all seriousness, daily double + adds kicks a whopper's butt. Mainly because for some reason they are heavy handed on the mayo with the daily double, and I do love me mayo.
I also love how the wiki has a wack ass misshapen bun on that burger
Rick’s.
Haven’t been in months.
One of these days I may go for breakfast, schedule permitting.
One of the advantages of being (semi-)retired is the schedule can always work out.

This is the first I've heard of a Daily Double.
Pretty sure the daily double is some sort of internet troll and doesn't really exist
I'm skeptical that it was "introduced" in 2012. I wouldn't swear to it, but I really think it was on menus in Chicagoland when we'd travel through in the 80s. It was memorable because it was something that wasn't available from Rick back home.
This bag of frozen Arby's curly fries is pretty good. Only bought em cause my Walmart ran out of Checkers. Still I prefer my Checkers.
Literally true, and it also works as a Nixon callback.

Holy cow, I would have lost all my money betting I could name every McDs sandwich with no problem. I too have never heard of/noticed the daily double.

Lol perfect.

Sigh, at 45 I wish this would happen to me, instead I just eat as much and gain twice the weight.
The other evening I was buzzed and decided I needed a McDs snack on the way home. I grabbed a daily double $6 meal + used points for a free vanilla cone. On the daily double, I was pleasantly suprirsed to see I could add a 3rd patty for $1.00, which I thought seemed like a reasonable proposition and took them up immediately. I was then quite angered to find that I could add a second slice of cheese, however for this Ronald needed $1.49. $1.49 for a single thin slice of American cheese? A beef patty costs 33% less? Outrageous. But... I had already got my heart set on the triple burger. And, I didn't see any way a 3 patty/1 cheese ratio would prove to be a satisfying experience. So I forked over the clown's blood money and added the cheese too. $6 meal was now $8.49, or $9.50ish after tax and suddenly didn't seem so cheap. At least the lady at the counter gave me a hot mustard gratis when asked, to go along with the sweet and sour ordered in the app.

How you have to carry pocket cheese with you when you leave the house.
