they need to be made physically smaller so they fit in your mouth easier... making it more efficient to eat and therefore making them more desirable and thusly selling more product.

Impulse bought a bag of Simply Tostitos at Wal Mart, mostly to see if they were simply rebranded Siete Maiz chips now that Pepsi/FritoLay bought out Siete. Inconclusive. They were okay, certainly more than adequate for the primary purpose of a tortilla chip - a vessel for guac, salsa or queso.

Speaking of Tostito chips, there is a new version from Frito Lay. Bite Seized with a hint of queso - really good with salsa. They had a limited time release late last year, and performed well enough to be a new item permanently from what I've heard. Found them again this past week at a local grocery Meijer store. Highly recommend!

I had some Candy Corn (1st of the season!)(not Brach's) around Labor Day weekend. T'was glorious, and I don't have to eat any more this year! Winning.

Impulse bought a bag of Chex Mix ("now Chextra delicious!") since I'd heard that they changed it up. I've always thought the commercial Chex Mix sucked. Haven't bought it in years.
It was actually pretty good. A bit saltier than I remember and they appear to have purged the boring staleness that defined the old Chex Mix. Would eat again. Especially if nobody is making homemade.
I got a box of peanut brittle at Dollar General for $1.25, really good for store-bought. Mascot brand which I've never heard of.
Dollar General has all kinds of weird **** for sale. I just go exploring in there, the wonders to behold.
