Las Vegas Fine Dining Thread
Hey,
So I'm compiling a list of places I need to go to, never been before but I have so far been told that we should hit
First weekend trip in many moons. Did Partage dinner, LPM brunch, Kaiseki Yuzu dinner. DidnÂ’t have a bad bite of food all weekend but did spend a grand between all three (had wine and sake pairings at each). Best bite of trip: oxtail signature dish at Partage. The bacon at LPM is ridiculous though as is the Wagyu dish at Kaiseki Yuzu. Photo dump:

Wanted to add some context:
Chef Yuri at Partage came and talked to us for about ten minutes. Really nice guy. I had tried getting a last minute reservation at Kaiseki Yuzu for the trip but they were full but they’re good friends so Chef Yuri made a call and suddenly the next night (Saturday) my party of 2 was in a pvt room. So major kudos to Chef Yuri. His recs list largely mirrors this thread - has Edo as his number 1 Spanish place for example - and he was just really kind to us.
LPM brunch might be the best value on the strip right now and is a meal you could literally take with your buddy, wife, mother in law, whatever and everyone would love it I think. Two brunch sets, coffees, bloody marys was 300 all in after tax and tip. I would go here once a month if I lived in Vegas. I used to always do Bouchon and Tableau for breakfast and this is as good if not better.
Kaiseki Yuzu’s largest menu costs 280 now and that’s a pretty high price point but, as others say and even my bad photos show, they’re phenomenal with ingredients and presentation. It’s an adventurous meal, though, and maybe not one I would recommend as someone’s first Japanese experience because there’s just a ton of subtlety going on. Sake pairing was 80 so with tax and tip for two of us that was 1k. That’s getting into Guy Savoy or Robuchon territory but honestly we were tired of eating French food and wanting something adventurous. Very glad we did, loved it, but just a warning that it ain’t cheap.
so many craveable meals to be constructed from that loosekanen of a photo dump
makes me feel like living some jonesing stoned jonathan livingstone seagull existence
ducking under plastic flaps of vegas seafood bins to pluck flesh and carapace from the mouth of rats
Have you had the bacon at Bavette’s? I need a comparison.
I have not had other bacon like that in Vegas. IÂ’ve lived in Texas for the last few years and I described it as such: Texas people always bitch about how bbq outside of Texas doesnÂ’t have the right smoked flavor and I generally agree with them. This, for what itÂ’s worth, tastes like an elite piece of Texas bbq. Very fatty. Like the best piece of pork belly I ever had. Sweet and smoky both. Really loved it.

Thanks for the comments and pics. It looks amazing.
Went to Zuma tonight, absolutely incredible dinner and easily the best Japanese place I’ve been to.
Burning History cocktail - similar to an old fashioned, 8.5/10
Other cocktails 8/10, don’t remember names
Pork belly skewers - 10/10 unbelievably good
Sushi rolls (spicy yellowtail, fatty tuna, spicy tuna) - 9.5/10 very high quality sushi, need to try nigiri next time
Spinach with sesame dressing - 10/10 light but with a creamy sesame/peanut butter type dressing that was awesome
Skirt steak - 10/10 perfection
Wagyu dumplings - 9/10
Miso glazed cod - 9/10, great sauce
Chilean sea bass - 7.5/10 good but not on the level of the other dishes, everyone agreed on this one
Scallops - 8.5/10 I’m not a big scallop fan but they were cooked perfectly and sauce/seasoning was solid
Baked potato - 10/10 this was shockingly good, I could eat this as a meal. One of the best side dishes I’ve had anywhere.
Desserts - 9.5/10. Chocolate hazelnut bar, baked cheesecake, and chocolate mousse. All of the ice creams and sorbets on the side were 10/10.
Total came to $729 for 4 people including 6 cocktails. Expensive but well worth the money. It was comped thanks to my friend but I’d for sure pay $220 to have all of those again. One of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to really.

that is some lovely ceramics.
zuma is just the best, been there a couple of times, just amazing.
and, not just the quality of the food, also the ambience, the service etc... perfection
well worth the $$$
It's doable but possibly frowned upon. Went there last summer, had a 5pm reservation right at opening for 4 people. Told the guy seating us that we were just drinking and he said "really?" in a really pissy tone and walked off. Four people and 2 cocktails each later, was still a $200 bill. I kind of get his disappointment but no need to be so rude, and it's not like we came during prime dinner hours to begin with. Very cool venue but unlikely to go back due to the rude service.
Chef Guy Savoy presents Louis XIII Tasting Menu
Who's in? Unfortunately not me and it's very much pricey.

firstly need to know if inspired by overpriced organic cognac or the cuisine of a certain early 17th century french king
secondly what's dessert, deconstructing 3 musketeers onto trays of 13 pieces drenched in a dumbass amount of remy martin
if so, watch out at those events
poor hoes are amiss should you engage afterward in naming three notches of dark tannin buckle washers

You should start a popup restaurant in LV. I'd go.
just in case anyone thought i was being crude about a Louis XIII Tasting Menu
those roman numerals in latin france are often pronounced treize
a phrase applied coarsly to both high priced cognac and the three century old french king who inspired it
another author at the time by the name alexandre dumas wrote volumes about d'artagnan romances featuring the three muskateers athos, porthos and aramis
I am fine with a dumbass idea. In addition to his work, the references in Sleepers, Shawshank, and Django are nice.
Kumi last night at Mandalay:
Wagyu gyoza - 9/10
Spicy tuna crispy rice - 8/10
Yellowtail sashimi - 7/10
Rock shrimp tempura - 8.5/10
NY strip - 8.5/10
Nigiri - 9/10
Old fashioned - 8.5/10
Espresso martini - 5/10
Green tea bread pudding - 4/10
Overall pretty solid but it was $414 plus tip. Cost us way less thanks to InKind $200 off $400 but if we had actually paid $250/person it would have felt way overpriced.

Eat talk repeat podcast are trying to find the best steakhouse burger in Vegas. They have it narrowed down to Mae Dalys, Peter Lugers, Delmonicos, and Niccos.
I haven’t tried Mae Dalys burger yet, but I love the other 3, although the Nicco’s burger is crazy priced.
Also, I really like Scotch 80 but that burger sounds like an absolute disaster.
for those of you PNW EDO fans, he just opened a restaurant in seattle

We walked by Mae Daly's on our recent trip, and I wondered if it was any good. Will give it a try on the next trip if prices seem reasonable -- off to Google it now.
Edit: Wow, Vegas is so expensive. No steakhouses for us -- we can cook an excellent steak/burger at home! I'll stick with Thai, sushi, Edo, etc., which I can't do justice to at home 😉
You are an adventurous walker Java! That area is dicey. I absolutely love Mae Dalys, I’ve had more than half the menu and the chef really hits my palate, best foie in town. Service is awesome, good bourbon selection and old school steakhouse atmosphere.
I have to agree, the prices feel out of line. I imagine they are trying to get a bunch of customers that can’t get into the golden steer, but the golden steer wouldn’t be able to charge strip prices without the history (and that it’s much improved post covid). I hope they find a better balance because the food is really Esther’s, edo, level
That's good to know. I love foie gras.
Hello all,
I have been building a

I am curious if anyone mentions a location not listed, or has strong good/bad opinion about one here. Also I bet a few have closed/moved that Im not aware of. I realize there is a great wealth of knowledge on this thread. Any feedback is welcome. ty.Top 10 Steakhouse list
