Peacemaker is a strong choice for comic book goat if it continues on its current path.

The Boys..I could talk about all day but I find it to be off. They could be telling a story about how superheroes exist in the real world but the tone is a little too ridiculous. Which leads to the uber gore and shock sequences that contain little substance.

Jessica Jones has 1 great season then it sucked.

Therefore Daredevil is the goat and you should watch season 1 episode 1 to find out.

Agreed on both Peacemaker and The Boys. I do dig The Boys most of the time, but when it’s off, it’s really off. The spinoff was really good and I’m hoping that show will continue.

Peacemaker was great and The Boys is (was?) good, but Daredevil Season 3 is easy comic book goat

I found The Sandman S1 pretty amazing, to bad its canceled after S2 this summer

The last of us returns tonight

not sure whether to watch it weekly or wait til season finished

big decision to make 😃

TLOU premiere. I don't want it to be exactly like the game, but there were a few key moments where I'm not really fond of the direction they went.

Other than that, I was happy with the episode overall, and thought the actress playing Dina did an outstanding job.

The reviews I've seen of a mostly super strong
E.g.

Some are more so, so though.

Yea I didn't think it was bad by any stretch. I'd probably give it an 8, but there was just a couple elements I prefer how the game did it.

Not played the game yet.

The reviews I've seen were for the the whole season.

I'd watch weekly. I hope this isn't considered a spoiler but the trailers are pretty packed with stuff I can't wait to see that also appear to differ from the game quite a bit. All of the stuff in those that I'm most excited for haven't happened yet. And I'm guessing that it won't be for awhile into the season.

Dina was certainly the highlight. Agreed about the moments but wonder if they're the same.

Curious why they'd give Abby's motivations away immediately. I know they don't have the luxury of splitting the show in 2 like the game did, but the reveal of why she was there was so incredibly well done in the game that I'm starting to think that the entire way that IT happens will be different. Will it be pre or post whatever is in that pipe at the end of the episode? Because that might be the action centerpiece of the whole season.

I also don't think Ellie and Joel have had the "I stopped them..." conversation yet. I think that they both know why they're distant and know why the other knows, but they just haven't talked about it. Like, I don't think that Ellie went to Salt Lake to find out what happened. The scene with him on the porch towards the end of the episode, based on the game's timeline, was the final scene of the game. Instead, she stares at him and walk away. Unless that's a misdirect to toy with the gamers, I wonder if the day after is Joel's last day or not like it is in the game.

The other things that differ from the game I'm incredibly psyched about. The Serephites are probably the aspect I'm most interested in how they approach it.

Regarding Abby's introduction and motiviation. I prefer the mystery the game provided, but we'll see how this goes.

I've never played the game. So much of every episode just seems like dialogue hinting at **** I don't know or care about. The show is mostly boring. There was an episode last season that was just 60 minutes of two teen girls roaming around an empty mall. Another with two old gay guys.

Quick recap on recent watches.

The White Lotus S3 easily the worst season. Enjoyable but just overall a slow burn with not nearly as much payoff as the first two seasons. Rick (Goggins) was meant to be the chaotic good like Armand and Tanya, but it just fell flat -- the major "spoiler" was so, so obvious to see whereas they camouflaged it much better in S1 and S2. Saxon was pretty funny though. "Saxon doesn't do drugs... I AM THE DRUG!"

Severance S1/S2: one of the more overrated shows in some time. Now I'm pot committed to it.

Just started The Penguin. Good first episode.

Rick, the man with expressly no characteristics, is supposed to be like Tonya?

Last of us s1 seemed extremely underwhelming. Will watch s2 but will have no issue waiting for it to wrap up to start watching it.

The director of TLoU’s episode 2 is…

Mark Mylod, who directed “Connor’s Wedding” in the last season of Succession. One of the best episodes of TV I’ve ever seen. Up there with Ozymandias. Bringing in a heavy hitter like that is huge.

If you’ve played the game…

I don’t think it’s THAT episode yet, but I do think that a large amount of the heartwarming flashbacks from the game will be in this episode. Then possibly ending with Ellie and Joel finally having their big fight. That could also be a flashback but their dynamic in the first episode is seeming more like they haven’t had that yet.

lol one of the most laughably inept movies ever made. It's a magic loom!

Yeh I saw it at the cinema, and don't recall anything about it other than me and my friends all bursting out laughing at the room with the loom of doom!

Friends and Neighbors a small disappointment. But Hammy is elevating it.

Love to see him arguing about his clients and his book again

MobLand on Paramount Plus.

Tom Hardy plays a fixer for an Irish crime family in modern day London. Pierce Brosnan is the boss and Helen Mirren his wife. Anna from Downton Abbey plays Hardy’s wife. Guy Ritchie directs.

2 eps in and I really like it.

I like it and have seen it more than once. I probably have bad taste in movies though.

Wanted is a fine movie.

Plus Angelina Jolie never looked better.

I meant in the overall structure of the show. Yeah Rick is different from Tanya but they're the central character to each season.

Have you seen gone in 60 seconds

you're welcome to like it of course, but no, it is not a "fine" movie. It is one of the worst movies ever made.

I feel like "one of the worst movies ever made" requires a cursory critique.
