I've noticed the Liberals are now ahead in all major polls and Trudeau hasn't even started to campaign yet
I’m very happy about this one: liberals support IVF treatments. As someone where both my kids are IVF babies I know first hand the stress that comes from pushing the price of a small car off a cliff every month in the hope of getting pregnant. Sure it’s not a top 20 political issue, but infertility affects 1/8 couples and it’s an important gap we’ve had in Canada for a long time.
Great to see leadership from the liberals on this

Just to clarify: they said a one time rollback of the CPI by .7% due mostly to lower gas prices at the pump.

Lol, no we said precisely what your article confirms. Each year it contributes maybe 0.1%. If you take all the cumulative years off in one go you get a single year drop, mostly from gas prices, of which all that saved money is lost due to reduced rebates.

Is IVF price different than many other important medical procedures in Canada, as a trend? because it might be very expensive just because in general healthcare is very expensive in rich countries.
In italy prices aren't insane (but in general all out of pocket healthcare prices are a lot lower than in Canada and the USA)

It’s only covered under three provincial health plans . Yes it is very pricey .
You’re not being honest here as the carbon tax did nothing to lower climate change so if you believe climate change causes more floods, fires and more claims that increases your insurance premiums .
So my premiums will go up with or without the carbon tax
Prediction: After 900 something days in unofficial campaign mode, late in the official campaign, after people have been voting for days already, we are hopefully hopefully finally going to get a costed platform tomorrow from Poilievre. I predict a specific sleight of hand will occur. In the liberal costing, they listed the costs of a lot of the proposals, it costs this much for each of the tax cuts, it costs that much for spending on the military, etc. We'll get these too (of course the cost of the tax cuts will be bigger for the conservatives). And we got a dollar figure on what cutting the operational parts of the government will cost, we'll get that too from the conservatives (probably bigger?). But I think they will add a fudge factor. The liberals were very careful to say that their policies are LIKELY to contribute to economic growth that raises tax revenues. But that isn't in the costing. They don't count on it. I think the conservatives will count on it. I think they will explicitly say no no no even though our tax cuts are bigger and cost more, we're going to get a much smaller number out of it because they claim the "budgets balance themselves" trick that economic growth will raise revenues.
That's speciifc enough of a prediction it's probably wrong, but I wanted it typed ahead in case for future credit😃

Lol so slimey. Nobody has ever suggested that Canada - alone - can magically fix the entirety of global warming to the level of detail that your insurance premiums in a specific year go up or down. Don't be this guy.

Try reading Montreal's post he is indicating that because the carbon tax is cancelled my insurance premiums will go up. Did you not here Jagmeet claim that Canada efforts can reduce forest fires and floods
He's right. Insurance premiums ARE likely to go up from increased climate risk over time. We should act. That isn't the same thing as suggesting Canada alone can solve global climate risk. Stop conflating those.

What do you mean, exactly? Ontario typically covers the first cycle. If you do more, that's on you.
For us it took us two cycles to make 4 viable embryos that transferred and led to two kids. One was in the US (fml), one in BC. All together the expenses with all the testing etc was about 60k.

You're right I just looked it up and it isn't 1K anymore, I guess I was thinking back a few years from personal experience. Inflation I guess.
