British Politics
Been on holiday for a few weeks, surprised to find no general discussion of British politics so though I'd kick one off.
It might be a big deal to women in the toilets though. Like I said, I personally don't have an issue with unisex toilets and I've never heard of any issues arising from them over my way, where they are at some venues and have been for several years. But if it's not the norm and only two options are available, I think women's concerns should take priority.I mooted this as a hypo
Yeah fair enough. Good to have a normal conversation with you. 👍
Basically no woman wants unisex toilet, but a decent amount support having a third bathroom that is gender neutralFewer women agree with you ("unisex toilets only!") than they believe we never went on the moon or that the earth is flat
Pretty misleading how the poll was worded. Clearly some, maybe many, venues won’t have space for men’s, women’s, disabled and unisex toilets

Well schools, airports, train stations, important public offices will, as well as any place of work with hundreds or more people.
There is nothing misleading in the question btw, there is only you not willing to admit actual data tells us almost no one agrees with you on this issue

According to you 38% is almost no one in a poll that barely produced a majority for any option, one that’s not even practical in many situations.u
I really hope at least one of your kids (if they’re real) transitions because right wingers like you are incapable of empathy and can only understand other peoples situations when they experience it themselves. Your EQ is approximately zero.
You’re nothing but a hateful loser who in another thread is celebrating that Wikipedia is under attack by the Trump regime. Please go and **** yourself.

YOU DID NOT PROPOSE A THIRD BATHROOM while keeping a women-exclusive one ffs. 38% would like it , but that's not your proposal.
If it is, all trans people would have to go to that gender neutral bathroom is that part clear?
You hope at least one of my kids gets medically sterilized. You are a true monster
I do celebrate anytime tools used my my enemies get weakened, and wiki is a tool for radical leftists, antisemites, pro china and pro putin people (all enemies of mine) to spread propaganda while receiving tax free donations, so i am happy if it gets whacked

If a child grows up and wants to transition and passes all the usual hurdles then yes I support them, as should you.
Should have done it decades ago if he had the evidence then, but nevertheless
Always the ad hominem when the incel position collapses.
I misread your stupid poll.
Which would you prefer, £10,000, £100,000 or £1,000,000? Tick only one box. Everyone ticks the million but is happy with ten thousand.
uh? even with infinite resources available an absolute majority of women wants only gendered bathrooms.
If infinite resources are available, a significant minority of them is willing to have a third bathroom for non binary and trans people.
Almost no woman prefers unisex toilets only vs gendered bathrooms.
That's the poll, it's very clear, there is no hard question there.
There is just you denying data that explicitly tells you , women disagree with you in full about the topic.
You asked for data, data is overwhelmingly clear, your preference isn't the preference of women. Accept that.
Transphobes Elrazor and Luciom expect this person to use the women’s toilet.
The Supreme Court doesn't and therefore the law doesn't. The judges addressed this famous 'transman gotcha' in the ruling. Unlike trans women (men) in women's spaces, trans men (women) in men's spaces are unlikely to cause reasonable concern, so excluding them would not be a proportionate means to a reasonable end and could give rise to a detriment on grounds of discrimination against the protected characteristic of gender reassignment.
And of course trans men are noted for seldom wanting to compete in men's sports, for obvious reasons.
I listed a lot of far more relevant issues regarding the topic of being considered legally a woman just by self identification.
As for toilets (about which i care much less than you), i could be ok with an actual "passing" division, if you are ok with a court or law enforcement being able to use that element to determine which bathroom is appropriate (in case someone raises the issue ofc).
And btw ofc i am talking PUBLIC toilets in the sense of toilets in facilities owned by the public.
The idea that private entities should always be allowed to do what they want stays for me as the golden rule.
The law necessarily applies to private companies, as it does to individuals.
Well yes in the illiberale framework where the state can violate freedom of association yes.
But the idea is that the public shouldn't discriminate while provate discrimination should always be legal and the state shouldn't be allowed to ban it in any way as freedom of association is an unalienable right (including freedom not to associate).
iirc we abolished freedom of association sometime before the napoleonic wars
No, and it's in Art.11 of the European Convention as embodied in the Human Rights Act 1998.
Debatable
Suppression of Associations:
In 1799, the government passed legislation to suppress the LCS and other reform-oriented associations. This suppression was part of a broader crackdown on dissent and political activism in the wake of the French Revolution
Of course not.
Has anyone ever had an issue using a men's restroom, regardless of the external genitilia or gender identity? I have certainly never heard of any instance.
Lets at least be honest. The issue is completely people not being comfortable with persons with male genitalia in female spaces. Because everyone understands that too many genetic males (including those that identify as females) are going to abuse whatever grace is given them, and sexually intimidate or abuse females.
Indeed its before the napoleonic wars
chez is still partying like it's 1799 though.

If you'd read the previous few posts you'd have realised not having an issue with anyone using men's toilets is what people agreed, apart from Luciom and Elrazor who were unusually silent on the issue.
But how is any sex or gender using men's toilets different to letting men use women's toilets and calling them unisex? All you're doing is changing the sign on the door and getting rid of urinals.
