Out of all the weird quirks of the guys hard stuck at the lowest stakes this baffles me the most. Their actions indicate they want to be a worker drones. They want to clock in every day and print their hourly without thinking too hard. Like you know you can just outsource all the managerial tasks, right? If you get a job someone else will take care of all the long term planning

I don't like to defend Timmay but the people on the strip are out of control. I've seen those flapper girls tell people they can tip what they want for a picture then once it's taken rant and rave when they "only" get 20 dollars.
I've seen them try and hold people's phones hostage for more money. I saw one hold a guys arm as he walked by and not let go until he told her he was gonna punch her in the face. And even then she held on until he actually brought his other arm back and made a fist. The pigs or ironically dressed as cops smacking people in the ass with paddles as they walk by should be arrested.
The CD people are just as bad surrounding tourists trying to intimidate and shake them down for money after shoving a CD they don't want into their hands.

This is patently false. Rice provides a small subset of expenses (Food, Gas, Hotel/Airbnb when not sleeping at Mommy’s house or in his car, and the irrelevant laundry category). Does not report car expenses (insurance, maintenance and others), phone, health insurance and other health costs, clothes (ha ha), entertainment, taxes, misc.
Minimal relevant transparency of poker income would be to provide annual poker income, and if he was brave enough, total number of hours played. He claims to report all poker income on his taxes, so it’s not like he would be putting himself in IRS jeopardy.
Not saying the public has a right to know any of this, but it is BS to claim you are transparent about your poker income and“profitability”, when you only release self serving subsets of poker income (or lumping several years of poker income when it is irrelevant to your current or recent “profitability“).
People are laughing at $1.73 / hour income as a profitable endeavor in the year 2025. You deflect and say you have many years to calculate profitability. Commenters are talking about now, this month, this year, or the few years since you started your homeless poker vlog.
Your Potawatomi or Council Bluffs sessions when you were wasting several years of college and law school are irrelevant in terms of current or recent profitability.

Studying to become a doctor is for suckers. During a medical convention in Vegas all the doctors are paying resort fees and standing in the non Diamond line. Plus the doctors have to shave (beards carry bacteria) and scrub in before entering the operating room.

From the sounds of it, Diesel wasn't gonna release today's vlog about the PH job unless he decided to take it.
But before he did, he wanted to make a go at this pro poker thing one last time and set out to play over 200 hours in April. The $1.73/hr for the month of April while putting in tons of hours sealed his decision and he released his new vlog series that will document his journey into the dealer box.

The last two years he have been crashing in their basement to live basically free of expences for 2 months+ in order to survive.

For what it's worth, I think Rice can get by with only his Orleans poker dealing, plus whatever moniezs he can squeeze out of his professional poker playing career, plus whatever he can sponge off his parents.
Rice probably has the lowest cost of living of anyone who is not permanently homeless.

It really depends how much/how long each year he can sponge off of his parents each year. But I can't imagine they want to get home after going to some Superbowl party and this bum is still in their house for his "Christmas vacation". He's obviously realizing he isn't making anything from poker but I'm not sure even he can just live off of dealing 6-8 weeks a year. He's gonna have to deal more than that- but he's trying to figure out exactly how few hours he can get away with each year. I can understand not wanting to work, trying the poker thing but at some point when you're barely scraping buy making 5-8 times more from dealing than you can from poker should feel like winning the lottery.
It's also amazingly stupid for such a self proclaimed financial expert like him who wants to "retire" off of poker. He should be looking to deal a ton now for a few years and investing that money instead of toiling away making 3 dollars an hour in poker.
