2025 WSOP!!
I know itβs early and normally Iβm not excited about WSOP this soon after but dang it, Iβm itching to go back already!
I
I attempted to register for an event (mystery million). I paid with paypal using credit card. The transaction went through. I could see the transaction in my paypal account. But, the app was stuck in "Processing..." page. After awhile, I backed out the page, and the app doesn't show me being registered. I emailed support, and an hour later, I see a message in the app sayi
Did they charge you any additional fees because you used the credit card via PayPal?
Hotel rates keep getting cheaper. I cancelled my Cosmo room and could immediately book the same room for around $500 less. Park MGM is $20 a night for an entire week which is where I will probably end up. Caesar's doesn't seem to have dropped for me nearly as much as MGM properties. If you have a room booked you might see if you can rebook cheaper.
I'm not seeing any movement except upward in CET properties (Cromwell, Paris, Horseshoe) From Mid June on for several months now and I check weekly.
Itβs typically based on demand. Summer is still a relatively slow period in Vegas, so rooms tend to come down in price as summer approaches unless thereβs some big event. There really arenβt any big summer events in Vegas.
I remember when the WSOP was at the Rio, rates at strip properties like Ballys tended to come down as summer approached, following the usual pattern. But not so much at the Rio.
I imagine the HS and Paris hotels are pretty well booked up at this point for the WSOP timeframe (i believe they only have ~5000 rooms for the two properties). They usually keep some number of rooms available for last minute, but I would think the demand for these hotels is pretty high. I would be surprised if rates come down much between now and the WSOP unless they get a whole bunch of cancellations.
As for the other CZR strip properties, rates may come down a bit over the next month. But one never knows because we donβt have access to their internal demand numbers.
Rates have been dropping for me in the windows I've booked, so it's definitely worth checking. Can't hurt to check.
It does depend heavily on which weekends you are targeting. Some are friendlier than others.
Main Event weekend (7/4-7/6) has dropped a lot over the past few months, and is lower than last year for sure.
This is from a CET perspective, usually eyeing whatever is cheapest (usually Harrah's for me, sometimes Flamingo, PH, or LINQ).
Booked last week for June 23-28. Five nights at the Bellagio. Great rate. Three nights comped. Rates were much better at MGM properties.
Can one sign up for this so-called Caesar's Reward Card online? If so, is there a link? I'm American but I recall a European saying they had to register for this card in person.
Yeah it won't let me register for a Caesar's Rewards Card online as i'm from the UK so need to do it in person, you should be able to being in USA π
Donβt think you can - need to be in person at a Caesarβs property. Which you also need to do to update email address on file. Seriously you canβt update email anywhere but in person. I emailed and called to no avail. Was trying to book a room using my Caesarβs account (no status) but hoped for something. Rates low enough that I just booked without account.
In the WSOP+ app FAQ
Are there any fees associated with buying tickets online ?
A 3% fee applies to credit card payments ONLY
ACH, Paypal, and Luxon Pay have no fees
NOTE - earlier they mention Paris Tournament Accounts can be used to purchase tournament Tickets online
If you use your CC to pay on PP, any fees are between you and PP. Once those funds are on PP, no fees for registering with WSOP+.
The 3% WSOP charges for direct CC payment is to cover the fees they have to pay to the CC company to cover the processing.
The PayPal thing seems to be a significant loophole. I wonder how long it will last.
I sent funds from Wise to Luxon. It was a $12 flat fee. My funds are sitting in Luxon and my understanding is that I can now buy in to events fee-free in the WSOP+ app. Seems to be the smoothest option.
(From UK here)
Luxon Pay fees page says there is no fee for bank transfer. Do you know why you were charged $12? Did you do a currency transfer?

I wondered about that, if no additional cc fees if you use credit card thru PP it's a no brainer. Get points/ miles for my cc vs ACH,, hmmm I think I'll take the free miles or ceasar rewards points thank you.
One thing I wonder is do you still get Caesars tier points for tournament registration now that it's ggpoker?
I finally got my ticket today on the app. And my Amex transaction just shows the tourney cost (simple $1000) and no other fees.
Using PayPal through the app was simple enough. Unless youβre concerned with PayPalβs security issue, donβt see why you would pay with CC directly with the WSOP+ app.
Has anyone heard if there will be a Diamond registration line?

Yes you still get tr points this year
I've set up my Luxon Pay account, fully verified and bank account has been added so hopefully I have no issues transferring money from my bank to Luxon and then converting Β£ into $ in order to use it in Vegas
Only a 2% conversion rate fee which i'll take

I also did verification for WSOP +.
It is still saying I still need to do verification in person .
After getting the tickets, it says “ you have to register for tournament “ !!
So after buying tickets what are you supposed to do ?
Everyone needs to do in person verification just like before.

My guess is that we just have to wait for do in-person verification. After that, we'll be able to apply the ticket to the specific flight you want to register in.
This may be a good idea. Typically, if you register for an event prior to the start time, they will start blinding you out if you're not seated at the beginning of the tournament. Not allowing you to register now prevents this from happening if there's issues with your in-person verification.

Need to register for the flight you want first, enter your CC info and go to the champagne ballroom and verify your card, bring ID, rewards card credit card and they will verify it. Only need to do it once, from there you can register for whatever you want (10K max per event),

Well with the WSOP+ app you purchase a 'ticket' to the event/flight you want. Then show up at that special verification desk in person to complete the process. I think they can even print out a seat ticket too.
I think I'm glad I'm not going to be there until mid-June. While I'd love to think that the changes all get implemented without a hitch and the first week is smooth sailing, I've seen enough issues from the WSOP over the years to be pessimistic where they're concerned. Hopefully they'll have any major issues worked out and most of the bugs fixed before the Monster Stack.
It's looking like the later the better. Already, a WSOP web page has changed at least twice since I first read it.
Ok so my question is. I have the wsop app and I would like to buy in for a tourney with cold hard cash. Is this still possible and how?
