Alright I caved and watched the episode. So these two are just on girls vacation doing some exploring with some minor travel mishaps. What happened to the chick being in a fit of rage and pissed off hell bent on revenge instead of trying to be quiet she's singing 5 minute songs? She's happy she's got to deal with "being a dad" now too? Again 90% of the episode was boring.

That was a terrible episode. You don't drop a tank lid in the middle of a bunch of zombies who are attracted to sound. You don't play drums and guitar either. Then lets take a break from our rage fueled revenge tour to get it on and get in our feelings. And holy **** at the "I'm going to be a dad" line

From what I've read, the game handled all of that on a different timeline. The sex scene happens in the winter when they are snowed in. Dina being pregnant causes issues with their relationship. The guitar scene happened on the way to Seattle. That all makes perfect sense.

I do like the Scars vs WLF potential and Isaac seems interesting. I am rooting for Abby at this point. They have made Ellie to be a very unlikeable character. That was the first bad episode so I will keep watching. There should be a lot of good stuff to come, but who knows how much they stray.

Did you think she dropped the tank lid on purpose?

The guitar scene happened pretty much the same way in the show as it did in the game.

Her reaction to the pregnancy was different, but they could be saving how she reacted in the game for later when it actually becomes a hinderance.

Finally getting caught up on The Handmaid's Tale final season. 7 of the 10 episode have aired and it's looking like it could wrap up pretty well.

I don't know if Jonah Ryan (Timothy Simons) had been in the cast before but he's even more disgusting in this. Poor guy has certainly has been typecast lol At least in Veep, it was funny. In this, it's infuriating!!

I am absolutely loving The Studio. I know that spoofing the inner machinations of Hollywood is not exactly an original idea, but they are doing it to perfection every episode.

It's fun to notice all the cameos.

They sure seem to be having fun making it

rewatching s1 of last of us before going into s2

interesting because you notice some small things

Spoiler
Show

like they repeatedly reject or are unable to eat wheat products the day everything goes wrong - no pancakes, no cake, refuses cookies, refuses biscuits etc - something i completely missed the first go round

I caught up with The Last of Us. The show is straight up bad. Boring stories and characters. I'm done giving it another 60 minutes.

I sampled it this week. I liked it better as The Walking Dead.

yeah, that was pretty cool when I first noticed, it too. Blind luck saved them.

Really happy to see that Poker Face back for a 2nd season. Can't say I liked the first 3 eps. Let's see if it gets better.

The Four Seasons on Netflix was great imo. But i think you need to be 30+ and married to be able to enjoy this lol

Also Andor, finally watched S1 and caught up S2 before the finale this week.

I was always lukewarm on Star Wars, but damn.. this really is one of the best tv shows of the last few years

Andor is great

Yeah Andor S2 picked up a lot. Looking forward to the last 3 eps this week.

lol...

Mostly agree:

S2E6 - allll the flashbacks ever!! Will be a gut wrenching watch, gamer or not.
S2E7 - definitely day 3. Curious where they end it though. In the same place makes sense but maybe they have something up their sleeve.

Season 3, most of that seems right. Aside from the Ellie in SLC. There’s very little reason for Ellie to be there in season 3, so I’m guessing we’ll be getting a lot of Tommy. And maybe more the origins of the Seraphites/WLF war. They mentioned the huge budget they got so I’d like to see the entire final war and not just what we saw Abby. Too much of an expense not to milk it lol Farm day and Santa Barbara could be 1 episode.

They don’t start filming S3 until next year so… yeah… long wait…

there is a last of us thread btw

https://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/159/o...

might as well use it, given how many of yall are watching and discussing the show

TLOU never play d the game so know nothing about it, but i enjoy most epiosodes of it, i think there was only 2 so far between s1 and s2 that i thought was boring.

for the people who have played the game, how many seasons do you think it will run for ? is the game still being made (new stories?)

you can put answer in spoilers if needed

thanks

It was originally planned as 1 season for the first game and 2 seasons for the 2nd, which they’re holding to. The makers of the game have been working on a new IP for awhile, so even if they’re secretly working on TLoU3, it’s probably still pretty early. They’re like Rockstar Games in that they take their sweet ass time because they can.

While they were still doing press for the first game, Druckmann pitched the gist of the 2nd to the 2 leads. That was in 2013 or 2014. The announcement trailer for TLoU2 was in 2016 and it didn’t come out until mid-2020. I’m 99% sure that the show will never outrun the games ala GoT, so if there is a 4th season it’d be after the 3rd game, so….. 5 years maybe lol

I wish we could just discuss the Last Of Us show in here and compare it to the game in the other thread. I just don't care how close or not close the show is adhering to the game.

Who says you can't do both?

Fair enough. I’ll do my best.

These last 2 episodes had a bit too much YA rom-com but I think we might be done with that. Unless they go full triangle….

I really liked how they showed how dangerous and formidable the Seraphites actually are. The scene from ep4 in the radio station was one thing but seeing them actually do THE **** was something else entirely.

Way too many conveniences in ep5 which wouldn’t been so bad, or even made to work well, had the episode not been only 45 minutes. Also, the Ellie we saw in the basement was more like the Ellie we should have had for the last 2 episodes.

The episode being 45 minutes kind of irked me. Especially in such a shortened season.

Plus, the episodes in the game were all much longer.

Loved season 1 of Andor but 6 episodes into season 2 and it's painful. Think I'm done with it

I felt the same way but enjoyed the last half of the season. Not as good as 1 but still good.
