2025 WSOP!!
I know itβs early and normally Iβm not excited about WSOP this soon after but dang it, Iβm itching to go back already!
I
When they opened this morning, the registration line was doing both cash deposits and online verification. I assume they will continue to do both.
To clarify, I used the Seven Stars/Diamond line in the registration area and they were able to do cash registration, online verification, and verification of credit cards there.
This post by Kevmath suggests that while the regular registration line does online verification and cash registration, the Verification line may be needed for non-cash payment methods, if you are not in the Seven Stars/Diamond line: https://x.com/Kevmath/status/19274471352...

My brother was slumming it in the regular line and was able to get ID and CC verified. You need to use the CC to buy entry into an event to get it verified.
Once ID is verified, PayPal is good to go.

Yes. I just asked and was told that the registration line is required if you are paying with cash. If not, you can use either line (registration/online verification).
There is no live reporting or coverage for WSOP ?
WSOP has 0 regards for their players & fan !!
In fact inside Trojan force is succeeding to hurt WSOP name in a big way
It's also just in the ether that is the "story" feed on the +app.
From what I'm reading in the "story" tab, the "cash line" is very long and slow, and the verification process takes about 10 minutes. Also, "the dealers don't know what they're doing and I got 5 hands in 30 minutes". Haha, we knew that last part already.
Verify at the down times folks. That's what I'll try to do.
For anyone who's done it (please don't theorize):
1. How late registration works? Do people just wait until they are notified through the app that their table is ready and go straight to the table?
2. For non-late and late registration, when we get to our table, do we just show our app and ID to the dealer, and he gives us chips?
What a cluster **** of confusion. I mean they couldn't go about it worse in my opinion.
Several different types of lines? Apps that require in person verification? Just dumb ****
I have heard the stories of 1 to 3 hours waiting for verification.
Fox do it a day before!!
This concerns me. My flight arrives 9:30am to play Flight D of the mystery bounty. If I get there at 10am, I'm concerned the line for the first WSOP Saturday will be horrendous. I might take the earlier flight.
That is cutting it way too close IMHO. You won't even have your bag much before 10 am and then the hassle of grabbing transportation, verification etc. I always arrive
Before I make changes, let me read accounts of how long lines are on Flights B, C, and D prior to the 10am starts. I have no luggage or hotel room since I have a flight coming back home that night. I don't mind if I'm a little late (I punt with tall and short stacks alike).
My current flight takes off from an airport 15 minutes from my house. The only earlier flight leaves 5am from an airport that's an hour away.
Someone posted 30 minutes ago βIt took 4 hours to get verified and registered β β¦.. WOW thatβs WSOP efficiency!
It will get worse as 1st flight of Mystery Million is always lighter.
Showing up on the first day at peak traffic is not setting yourself up for the best experience.
I am not 100% sure , but if your PayPal a/c is already funded . No Fees.
If you are using your bank card or CC for PayPal purchase there will be a fee. This is just how I understood !!
PayPal doesnβt charge a fee to merchants. So who charges the fee? This sort of goes against all the discussions here in the last week of the use of CC-backed PayPal accounts.
Would love it if there were someone here who registered for this yearβs WSOP using a CC-backed PayPal account to describe their experience.

To pay for the Mystery Million ticket, I used PayPal, backed with Amex. I see a $1000 charge on my statement, and nothing else, I did this in early May. Iβm guessing WSOP is paying the merchant fee. π€·ββοΈ
I hear that people who used CC without PayPal have to repeatedly enter their CC number for every registration. That wonβt be a problem with PayPal since you just select the credit card from the list from PayPal.
Anybody verified whether Chase will charge a cash advance for buying into a tournament on credit? Im just being lazy and ill call them if nobody knows for sure but id appreciate it if someone who's done it can confirm. Thanks
Unlike some of the people in this thread, TuscaloosaJohnny seems like a decent fellow. As for the rest of your commentary... I don't know what a weird gas station is in your mind, but if there were only one of them charging fees, then I agree, it would not count as "plenty". However, would over 10 million small businesses count?
Wonder if this is why GG took down the structure sheets. Maybe they added the 3% to the juice. Which would piss off everyone that's NOT using a credit card.
I think, for most people, 40 minutes would be on the high side. But it depends on a lot of factors, most notably, what a person considers the start and end point of the journey. It can take some time to get out of any casino, depending on where you start at. And getting to the Paris casino door vs getting to the CBS event center at Horseshoe are not the same thing and can add 5+ minutes to any route.
As always, it seems you think your personal experiences are sacrosanct. How convenient that must be as you make your way in the world.
That's why I asked "to win a bet". Nobody wants to just get to the front door, there's nothing to do there.
My estimates based on having done this a lot.
Walk from Aria to Bellagio via Vdara = 5 minutes.
Walk through Bellagio to sidewalk bridge over the strip 5-10mins (sometimes Bellagio is full of tourists and can slow you down a bit).
Walk over the Strip and into the Horseshoe or Paris (5-10 mins).
Total time = 15 to 25 minutes. I do not have long legs.
December isn't in the summer in the northern hemisphere.
Ok I'm here to help the people.
Registration/verification is open 23/7.
Its only closed from 5am to 6am.
There is zero lineup right now.
