[ClubWPTGold] Unofficial Thread
time for a thread imo
Sorry to interrupt the is online poker rigged debate but is anyone else experiencing an inordinate amount of disconnections lately? Like right now, I am playing on 2 tables but the other 2 are completely disconnected. Every 30 mins or so the entire thing crashes, all the tables close, but when I log back in I am still at all 4 tables posting blinds. This has been happening constantly for the last 3 days. Not sure if its them or me.
I am unable to log in today in Maine. I am in the middle of the state and nowhere near a disallowed state. The error says "ClubWPT is not yet available in Maine" - so the system IS locating me correctly, but STILL not allowing me to log in. I know Maine is an allowed state, and is listed on their website.Contacted Support (for like the 5th time). Note the "Contact Support" butt
Fwiw - Im not actually in the state it accused me of being in, but I was able to log in via chrome. Firefox and the windows app would say im in New York.

Chrome definitely appears as the least buggy of all the browser options to use for this site.

Must be nice that you’re able to actually multi-table using the desktop client. There’s still a good chunk of people in this thread that are still experiencing the same geolocation issues for the past month.

Yes it's been doing exactly what you described
They should sit you out next hand if you time out on the river after two consecutive hands or at least have you stand up if the entire client is closed. Never seen an online poker site where you can close the client but still be posting blinds hand after hand with you timing out every decision.
Any rigtards want to explain to me how these graphs exist if the RNG is rigged against good players??? Lol. These are real people I follow on twitter who also play live. There are many more examples but I just chose people who I know for a fact are real. These are from Global Poker. I can’t wait to hear excuses

Lucky you. No browsers will allow me to log in either. I contacted support, but they have pretty much been useless. Their response indicates it is automated and they didn't even read my request.
I explicitly stated that I am CORRECTLY geo-located in the state I am actually in (an allowed state), but the software still will not allow me to log in. I followed up after their tone-deaf reply where they stated the problem is that I am not geo-located properly (seems false, I explicitly get a message saying I am in the actual state I am in) - I performed all of their suggested remediation steps and nothing has fixed the issue.
FWIW I am up small in cash games and don't think I have done anything that would tag me as a crusher in their software. I believe I am beating the games I play, but give plenty of action 😀

The only tarded things are not believing the tech might exist or that a company wouldn't use it to maximize profits if it did. Honestly, the CEO is right, if the game were honest the pool of new players would vanish quickly. Read the article and not even too deeply between the lines.

Using AI to mix players at tables in cash games based on skill level is 100% different than a rigged RNG
I’ve said this in discord. Every online poker site known to man has someone complaining about the RNG being rigged yet not a single employee has exposed this ever. Not even exposed on sites that have shut down. Thousands of employees over online poker history and not one has come forward to expose a rigged RNG. Let that sink in for a second. That being said you (are) probably getting cheated by the players……just not by the site because they are raking you no matter what
They can't even build functioning poker software or read your current location........but I'm supposed to believe they are smart enough to rig the RNG against me 8 handed lol
hi
We can't prove anything one way or the other without having access to hand history. And IMO there's a huge difference between running bad when your EV is 7bb/100 playing a standard site and running bad when your EV is 100+bb/100 because people are punting (trying to anyway) that hard on WPT Gold.

Yeah I was gonna make this point earlier too. If they have the ability to deploy a complex rigged RNG that identifies fish and provides them with favorable run-outs, why wouldn't they also be able to build a software that works? And surely having easy, functioning multi-tabling would be worth much more to a site in terms of increased rake than an RNG that is rigged to create action run-outs?
What I don't get is how they came to that conclusion after reading the info? It is clear it was WPT Globals website and clearly explaining how the system tags players to balance the number of pros and recs that can access tables.
Absolutely nothing about the RNG and AFAIK Alex Scott stood down many weeks ago and I read that it may have had something to do with the companies decision to focus on the Asian market. Alex imo engaged well with players and since he left there has been almost total disengagement.
I can't log in on any browser either and have played on Global for years no problem. This site sucks.

Have you ever played on Global? I guarantee you that within 25 hands, you will see things and say, hmmmm. That is a sequence that seems…unlikely. If you’re competent, of course you can exploitatively over fold. The point is that you’re being offered something purported to be true, mathematically random poker. That is not by any stretch of the imagination what you encounter.
It would be tremendously easy to code. Weak player has X. The community cards will match X. That’s actually substantially, by a logarithmic factor, easier to code than pseudo-randomness, and by a factor of infinity easier to code than quantum (true) randomness.
What you’re complaining about are server limitations and poor investment in IT overhead, if I understand correctly. Again, these are not business models built to last; how unbelievably flimsy is the legal argument that this is not poker for money, and so these sites will not last. Why invest in tech?
Not to derail but what is truly random anyway?
I doubt their RNG is truly effectively random. But more like random enough.
And I don’t think it’s rigged in any fashion.

Multi-tabling is a server limitation; it’s expensive to upgrade these when you have hundreds of thousands of active users, and, as stated, are facing imminent action from every state AG in the country that really discourages you from wanting to invest for the long term because there is no long term.
A tweaked RNG- how much do you think that costs to employ? Literally nothing outside of sunk costs: salaried employees knock it out in their spare time.

Global advertises that they’ve given away 50 million in sweeps coins. There is overlay for most tournaments. It’s a low volume site. How in God’s name, outside of lying unabashedly, does that make financial sense to you? There is nefarious **** going on. But this is about the RNG. Seriously- deposit $50 and just watch a few hands.
I also, recalling now, won a $5000 guaranteed MTT on Clubs my first night. Big field. On Global, first tourney I ever played there, 3k guaranteed I won with a big field. I ran stupidly well, and it was mathematically possible but extraordinarily unlikely how the game changed right after that.
Seriously: you win right away? Weird. Again, we keep saying, “variance, variance,” but these are unregulated sites with nobody policing the nuts and bolts, and eventually you’ve gotta go Occam’s Razor and say, “nah. The incentive is there for fuc*ery, and this sure feels like fuc*ery with no safeguards against it other than people anecdotally saying, ‘but I win on there!’ with no empirical evidence that they’re winning in a system that is representative of true probability, which is what you assume when you deposit money.”
If you guys only got to pick one would you rather the site
1. Have a completely fair RNG for everyone
2. The app work perfectly without any geolocation issues and be able to 4 table
Because I donÂ’t think both are possible
I mean the beats on this side are incredible. I mean you never can get your hand all in ahead of time and when it seems. I've been here for about 2 months and I've had aces about 20 times and I have lost 15 times with them incredible. but overall the games are good the play is a terrible it's just I just cannot believe how the cards run out here. But I am definitely up money so I can't complain too much I guess
This garbage site continues to not allow me to log in (4 days now) after correctly being geolocated in the state I am in (an allowed state).
Support has been completely useless and now unresponsive. So, I am going to continue to shout about how horrible the experience of playing on this site has been, everywhere I can, until and unless they get ***** together.
Support is horrendous, software sucks, and I can't even access my money let alone play on the site.
I am sure it will take time to get the bugs out
